I have 3 siblings. I’m sure I’ll be making majority of decisions during my parents end of life care.
You can still feel and be an only child with siblings 🤷🏻‍♀️

      True.
It makes me think of that line “sometimes I’m lonely but never alone”
I don’t know how it feels first hand what it’s like to be an only child.

I was a one and done. I always said that I never wanted kids at all, but things changed. I had my son at 29. Now that he's 18 and I'm dealing with health issues I do wish that I would have had at least one more. I'm so worried about him being alone in life.

@@madreep I understand your concern but just tell him to make great friends who will be there during difficult times, it’s also important to note that having a sibling doesn’t equal to being close as one can always end up being lonely even with bunch of siblings. Wish you all the best in getting better ❤️‍🩹 💕💕

Do whatever you need to do but rememeber , by having one your childs children will have zero aunts, uncles or cousins.

Are you not aware of childcare cost? Do you know children can make friends? Adults can make friends..Maybe it’s a cultural thing but in some places, close friends are the same as family.

Huh? I have 10 siblings. I’m one and done with my son. He has sooo many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Several sets of grandparents too. I also have several friends and siblings who all gave birth around the same year I gave birth. He’s growing up alongside them.
Oh, and the possibility of fostering kids in the future is still there. But I will likely never give birth again.

@@NotSoEntertaining.I’m not sure why people think they can’t have fulfilling relationships outside of blood. It makes no sense.
