Godzilla has shown the ability to reason and understand though, as shown by that one clip where he empowers the axe for Kong. And in the last couple movies he's adapted quite a bit to keep up with the threats he's faced.

Godzilla is indeed intelligent, the problem is, he is intelligent in a way that is completely impossible for us to grasp, in and out of universe. His brain just doesn't function the way ours does. Kong's intelligence is more human like, which makes it easier to understand.
Godzilla has used buildings as weapons before such as in 2014 against the male MUTO. He understood Ghidorah using the electrical sub-station to power up. He also fully understands that Kong can't swim and dries to drown him. He's definitely not as animalistic as people like to believe.
While it indeed all started with the Kongs, the Mutos are fully responsible for the down fall of the species. It was revealed in a graphic novel that a pair of Mutos succeeded in mating unlike the pair in the 2014 film, and a whole Muto apocalypse began and sealed heavy blows to the surface and Hollow Earth. The Mutos then began to cannibalise on each other and the one survivor would become the next Muto Prime. The Prime would then lay her eggs in one of the very few Gojira left, Dagon. These new Mutos would hatch and grow to be the ones we see in the film and would try to start the rampage of wreckage all over again.
so why do 2 muto's need to mate if the Prime can just lay eggs anyway?
@@DraconimLt it's a strange, long, and complicated cycle, but bear with me. The Muto's are parasitic. It starts with the Prime, she needs a host to lay her eggs in so they can feed on and grow from a titan's radiation. She can only implant two at a time however. They mainly target Gojira since they're nuclear powerhouses. The host will eventually die, and the eggs will hatch, the larvae will then seek another source of radiation to cocoon themselves into adults, like what we see in 2014. The pair will then meet up and mate with each other, where the female is capable of laying over hundreds of eggs, and lays them on yet another source of radiation for them to grow. It is assumed she can only lay these eggs once however. The female will then eat the male like a mantis, and go through her final form, whether that's Queen or Prime, is unclear. So the eggs will hatch into another new form of Mutos, which will overrun and ravage the land, until there's no more space for them to live in so they'll cannibalise on each other. The last will eat all the remains and have enough energy to turn into the next Prime and start the cycle all over again. The only things we don't know about or are unclear is what happens to a female Muto after the mating process, what happens to the Prime during/after the apocalypse, and what a Queen Muto is. (Just to be clear, the Queen most likely has NO capability of laying eggs... like at all... just so you don't get confused with bees or something.) Though if I had to guess, a Queen Muto is a female's final form after eating the male, and the previous Prime dies due to the overrun of Muto's as well. Does that make sense?

Where's the info about the female eating the male come from tho? They seemed to care about each other in the film even after she'd laid the eggs?
@@DraconimLt Yes, the Prime can seemingly lay only two eggs though it can do it multiple times, and all on it's own. It was explained in the Aftershock novel that Emma Russel's study on the Prime and an old Gojira carcass, once a host of Muto eggs, led her to the conclusion that the female would've went mantis on the female after the eggs hatched. While yes they show signs of affection and genuine care in the film, they're still animals at the end of the day, and the female's instincts would've gotten the better of her.

Kong is humanity’s protector like Mothra, Godzilla protects the natural balance and listens to Mothra when she tells him things like “Kong is not the enemy”, or “cut this shit out and help him”.
Mothra is the best pf the human protectors then after her is Kong.
People are really still debating who won, when the movie and director made it clear, Godzilla won against Kong, he was toying with him until he got bonked, all the energy he was using in that fight caused him to be tired when he fought Mecha Godzilla, Kong was revived and told to help him because MechaG was the bigger threat, he saved Godzilla because he needed an ally to fight MechaG

Godzillas existence proves the species isnt extinct and other older Godzilla movies show Godzillas offspring so he isnt the last..the new monsterverse just hasnt gotten there yet.

The Monarch series has also added a couple datapoints, like how did Godzilla wake up in the 2000s from what was obviously a long enough sleep to develop sandstone along his crest and flanks? Then you have the Philippines site found with the petrified Godzilla remains that had Muto eggs implanted. Both show the Earth-side activity taking eons, while time might not really track on the Hollow-side in similar fashion. Perhaps Big G's last awakening/emergence was in the sunken Atlantean civilization that worshiped him, and not Kong, since Kong's species had never emerged from Skull Island to the broader Earth?

It’s also worth noting that Kong was NOWHERE near the level he needed to be to take on a normal Godzilla specimen in GvK, both in terms of being in shape and the amount of experience. Also didn’t help that the Godzilla he fought was literally the strongest individual specimen to ever exist, so it makes since why GvK played out the way it did.

What if there were godzillas hiding in the world, like frozen in the ice, or sleeping in uncharted areas of hollow earth
My theory is GXK is going to end with a grand bowing to King Kong scene in the throne room of the hollow earth much like the one we saw for GZ in KotM
The species didn't go extinct. Godzilla is alive so it would be endangered.
So my theory combining known facts and speculation to why Godzillas species died out is that it was a combination of factors really. So firstly radiation levels started falling which led to probably split in the species creating Subspecies. So members like Godzilla and Dagon went to the bottom of the ocean and started feeding off of naturally occuring radioactive vents. Which led them to slowly grow smaller and weaker overtime. Then another group moved into Hollow earth where over time many of them evolved into various subspecies like Doug. Then with the Gojira growing weaker that is when the Titan war occured killing off many of the surface dwelling Gojira. But at least a dozen survived the war and forced Skarking and the two remaining Kong tribes to two different prisons. The Skarkings tribe the larger and more dangerous of the two was forced into a locked away prison in Hollowearth then Kongs parents tribe were forced to relocate to Skull Island which was essentially a refurge camp area as Kongs parents tribe likely didnt participate in the war and remained neutral but were forced to isolate themselves anyway. The number of the surface Gojira were heavily dwindled and because of the war the Mutos were able to locate some bodies and begin breeding uncontrollably creating a muto apocalypse wiping out a majority of the rest of the Gojira remaining the Mutos fully cannabilzed themselves leaving only jusy 4 to out Knowledge the Muto Prime who killed Dagon, the two in 2014 who fed off of Dagons body, then the Queen Muto who we know is alive and seemingly unable to breed. After Dagons death this seemingly left Godzilla as possibly the last of the Gojira on the surface. But we do know that there is at least one Hollow Earth subspecies that is Dougs species but we don't have many details on them.

I do still have hope for there being more Gojira out there, perhaps in the hollow earth. Maybe just 1 or 2.
If not, I do have a theory about something.
What if Godzilla can lay an egg of sorts. Especially when he knows that he's going to be killed or die soon.
If that does happen, which we hope not, that new Gojira could take the role of defending the planet and being King Of The Monsters.
In the Japanese version, Godzilla did had a child, Godzooki was the name I think?

Correct me if I'm wrong but in the entire history of Godzilla, we have never seen two adults of the species interact with each other. Jr doesn't count since he's an infant/juvenile.

I dont get first u say they went in the oceans for more energy...more food...when the ocean is a clear downfall for kongs so i dunno if i believe the kongs could have whiped out the gojiras... the g men could have just stuck to the ocean and been good against the kongs so i would have to guess when you are on top every other species is gunning for that spot so probably was pretty much any time a gojira ran into another titan they would fight and that there were not a ton of gojiras so they just got picked apart by their complacences which is what u said over all so i agree with ya!

This is profoundly informative and greatly implies that Titans like Kong and Godzilla are more strategic and intelligent than we thought, possibly on the level of great apes in general or even early humans.
Idk man . Not saying Godzilla is weak but it does seem like he’s always getting some type of assist from humans or other kaiju in order to win. That doesn’t seem like much of a king. Definitely stronger than most if not all tho.

Kongs people should be Kongs Klan.
Since Godzilla (Titanus gojira) was an Apex predator, it is a huge possibility these enormous lizards may never have existed in large numbers to begin with - the largest predators in any ecosystem typically never do in the real world. So therefore their numbers were vulnerable to begin with. I think Ghidorah and (possibly) Shimo are the only titans that do not have any other specimens other than the type ones. Ghidorah because he's extraterrestrial and Shimo is the mother of all titans.

Ghidorah kills Godzilla, also they didn't go extinct. You literally have none of species left. Godzilla had a home that was isolated and safe from others. His ancient temple. It was war with Kong species that they got killed down to 1.
The only thing that makes Godzilla more powerful against other titans it his atomic breath. In the movie Godzilla vs Kong you see whenever Godzilla is not using his atomic breath kong doesn't ran but charges towards him, and that raining drained him that atomic breath usually makes the fight unfair

Kong should have been able to win by hitting Godzilla in the head, like he found the axe. I didn't like the idea that he wacked his leg, instead of head! Kong showed more tactical when seen in 1972. At sea Godzilla yes, but Kong with atomic weaponry, speed and agility should have had outcome similar to Mechagodzilla.

here is my theory not all Gojira have atomic breath and they are we know electrical punches stuns gojira so a titan with electric affinity existed in hollow earth the Kong's used that and killed the g species all the while it must be because for years g and ghidora have been fighting on surface even if he knew his clan is getting massacred he have to have his fight .... after the ice age and ghidora getting trapped g must have had a nice sleep knowing he is the king..... i think g and ghidora have faced each other since younger days it must be the ultimate battle where other titans went into hibernation as both must be on a rampage for power .... meanwhile hollowearth kong species and muto prime on earth completely killed gojira or in other terms the female species once the females are gone its extinction only after all but g with the environment and his fights have ascended into many evolutions it must have been a loong fight btw g and ghid soo much that it shattered life away so only eart started its course after ghid got frozen and g went into rest mode till humans finally started to cook food for him

Well is skull crawlers supposedly killed the majority of Kong's race, and they were NOT that formidable , that theory doesn't hold much weight with the kongs vs godzillas. Plus, we only see one axe and scarface has one spear. We do see in the original kong vs godzilla when he first discovers the axe, the blue hollow earth energy already existed. Godzilla knew this because he used his atomic breath to power it when kong was on mecha godzilla and kong look surprised. Mix in , as we have seen, Godzilla is highly intelligent. I dont see the skull crawlers even being a small threat to the godzilla's but they were to the kongs? Godzilla's species , himself are over 250+ million years old , the permian period as its stated where as kongs are NOT . The kong's lifespan is much much shorter.
