- Former president Donald Trump is wrapping up his first week on criminal trial for alleged hush money payments.
David Pecker, the former National Enquirer publisher, did admit to burying embarrassing stories of then presidential candidate Trump leading up to the 2016 election. The former president's defense team spent the day trying to find holes in his story.
Inside the courtroom, the 12 jurors listened as Trump's attorneys attempted to pick apart Pecker’s testimony. Pecker admitted he helped buy and then kill embarrassing stories. The ex-tabloid owner says Trump thanked him for his help in 2017 at the White House, a detail defense attorneys say did not match his previous statement.

In the New York Constitution, Article 1, Section 8, it states, "and the jury shall have the right to determine the law and the fact."
In this trial Judge Juan Merchan is going to ignore this jury right. During this trial, the jury will only be allowed to determine the fact, not the law. Does anyone think the jury will hear about this Constitutional right? It's not going to be heard during jury selection, it's not going to be heard during jury instructions, the defense is not going to be allowed to bring it up during trial and the judge and prosecution are certainly not going to bring it up! This is a constitutional right the jury should know about!

Remember this: A President has Immunity while IN OFFICE to which Trump does have BUT any crimes committed BEFORE a person takes offce (like say faking a birth certificate or rigging an election) or any crimes committed AFTER leaving office is prosecutible.
It's also important to note that a VP who lets say, STOLE confidential information or used his office to enrich him or herself does NOT have Presidential Immunity. In fact 2 past VPs in history HAVE been criminally charged for crimes they committed.
It's also important to note that the only time a President can have his Presidential Immunity stripped is if he has been impeached by BOTH the Senate and the House to which DJT was NOT!
Perhaps the reason they have not impeached Joe for obvious reasons yet is because they want to protect him from his own prosecution or perhaps this point needed to be made clear to the public through SCOTUS BEFORE impeachment can commence. I'd say it's bc they want to protect Joe but I guess we'll just have to wait and see! Either way Trump did nothing wrong because he was still President up until Joe was inguarated, that's when the power of the Presidency is passed down.
FYI: The above info. stated is not in this video but are arguments that I have watched legal scholars making pertaining to PI.

In this instance it should be noted that it was COHEN who wrote up the NDA for Stormy to sign and IT WAS TRUMP who actually DROPPED the NDA against Stormy, in fact TRUMP NEVER EVEN SIGNED THE NDA (according to people in the know) and that is when she ran to the press but the MEDIA never tells that side of the story! The Media also leaves out the part that NDAs are legal, rich people do it all the time as well Media organizations who buy and squash stories (if they pay for the rights to a story, whether that story is true or not, it becomes their property and it is their sole choice to print it or not) in reference to what Peck testified to. Trump was NOT involved in any transactions btw Daniel's and Peck nor was Trump responsible for how his transactions with Cohen was recorded as Trump himself never directed any person as to how any monies to Cohen should be recorded, Trump has bookkeepers he does not keep the books himself and any invoices recieved from Cohen would have automatically been flagged has legal fees by the bookkeeper since Cohen was infact Trump's attorney at the time!

The Federal Election Campaign Act of 1974 provides that a contribution or donation accepted by a candidate or holder of a federal office may not be converted by any person to any personal use.
Trump used campaign funds to pay for Stormy's silence and listed them as "legal expenses," which they clearly weren't.That's a felony, one that the stable genius admitted to on his way out of court.
