FRANCE 24 takes you to Guadeloupe in the French Caribbean to taste some local cuisine! At the market, Madame Excellent shows us exotic fruit. We then meet Clara at the harbour. She's a fish expert and knows how to cook it just right for her waterfront restaurant customers. We then take the ferry to Marie-Galante, where we try one of the world’s strongest white rums. Sugar cane fields take up half the farmland here. We end our culinary journey with small round cakes, known as "torments of love".

A world of joy and happiness are found at the market ! 😁
Do you have suggestion for a expats, foreigners or locales Facebook page, whats app group , Telegram group etc. That I could join to see what's going on around the island?
Edouard Glissant felt differently about this beautiful place.

Are there any TEFL jobs available in the Guadeloupe?
Yess
59% alcohol. That's not strong. You have to go to St. Vincent and the Grenadines to get some real strong rum - Sunset Rum, 84%!
Sunset rum is distilled from molasses, its not the same type of rum
Cool colonialism
It's no longer a colony, the island's inhabitants are French citizens and enjoy the same rights and privileges as in metropolitan France therefore they are integrated in to the French Republic since 1946.
