I love Sundays so much! What did I ever do before I discovered this channel? I used to have one boring meditation that I would listen to every night. About a kayak ride to nowhere with birds chirping (not ideal for sleep lol)...this is perfect! I can forget that it’s 100 degrees here in Florida 😁
This is from 2 years ago now. Like time travel. I woke up with this playing never heard it before. How am I a horse? Who cares. This story is beautifully structured I’m so jealous you can so easily write from the perspective of an animal if I could have done this in a high school creative writing course when I wrote about my dog I’d be a writer today. I was evicerated by my Teacher who was a fool and it affected my confidence for years. This short story captures very effectively a beautiful perceptual experience. It’s a treasure. It in some ways rivals Jack London’s Call of the wild as he describes Buck the St Bernard connection to his primordial past.
I hate that a foolish teacher can cause this kind of damage. When I was 16 with my heart set on Manhattan I was ill-prepared to audition for the drama program at Juilliard but at that point it was an honor to be in the building. I humiliated myself like I never have before. The acting student who toured me around pretended to be a horse. I was so uncomfortable and thought he was out of his mind and I could never pretend to be a horse. Years later I thought, wow that guy was really free to do whatever he wanted. I suppose that is one of the reasons I wrote this.
Holland is dealing with a heat wave at the moment, 35 degrees/95 farenheit. I feel like I'm melting in my bed.. and here you are with a snow story, hopefully it will help coping with the heat. The fan got a fulltime job at the moment..
Michelle, I love the snow scene depicted for this story, almost heading into a surreal landscape of trees and moonlit shadows.
The same location on a sunny summer afternoon would totally lose its dramatic appeal. But I’ve often remarked, give me a crisp snow covered country lane as twilight turns to night with a million stars stretching across the sky, walking with the one I love; this is happiness.
So true-- I am not yet at a place that I want snow to return, but a snow story is certainly enjoyable about now. 💜

I have been hoping for a time travel one! And I love the winter ones. Especially since it's always hot where I am. But I prefer less descriptions so my imagination can fill in the details.

That is SO adorable. My niece is getting close to the age I hope to introduce her to meditation. So far, her yoga moves are quite lovely. 💜
It’s the absolute best thing for kids to learn deep breathing. It helps with EVERYTHING. Drs visits, speaking in front of the class, plays, anger. Both my kids started learning around the age of one. Then we gradually moved into more story meditation. When Brendyn was a newborn he would zonk out to rock n roll Lullabies. I knew then he would be my zen partner for life. Being the empath he is I’m glad he is learning to escape and ground himself early.

I was loving this meditation until you said transform into a horse. Please don’t include changing forms in future meditations. They somehow don’t connect with me. Sorry. I loved your other snowy Victorian meditation through time with Charles Dickens.
This is a fantasy story and was requested. Some people wish to experience stories as an animal. So if you see the description is a fantasy there will be transformation often. Not every story or meditation works for everyone and I do my best to make a diverse library for this reason b
