This song feel like a dreamcatcher, except it's caught all the memories of a thousand nights I've forgotten but still remember how they felt, the joy, the sorrow, the bittersweet, the pain, and overall the loss of the memories and people that go with those feelings. I remember hearing this song alot..I went to my marine training on Parris island and sang this song every morning..just left the island today! Thank you for motivation music
The night does not belong to god : Sharing with you my own philosophy interpretation of it. This is a long explaination. I'll explain why it's in my opinion, a poetic and philosophical way to talk about how to deal with mourning. Maybe you already noticed this in you life, maybe not... But Whatever the country you from, whatever the language you talk, we all have this same behaviour : When we need to reassure people or ourselves, we tend to repeat our words. - "It's ok, It's ok.." - "All gonna be fine, all gonna be fine..." (So basically, be vigilant when you ear a politic repeating something : He's trying to reassure you ^^) people suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder are repeating things to reassure themselve... This behaviour can even be observed in wildlife, with others species. That's where my reflexion started with "The night does not belong to god", with that repeated phrase "The night comes down like heaven". This was repeated, with the intention of being reassuring. But this has non-sense to me. The word "Night", which seems to be the subject of this sentence, is not interesting. It's not interesting to think about the night. Night is just the night. Until you reverse the sentence. Until you understand that the key word is actually "Heaven". If night = Heaven... Then, Heaven = night. So : Heaven comes down like the night. And here come all the meaning to me. If you experience mourning one day, this exact sentence is what you need to heal. To move on. You need to see the death (the heaven that comes down), like something as natural, as predetermined... and as beautifull than a night that comes down. It's just a cycle that end. You can feel lot of things watching a sunset. I'm sure you already experienced that. Sitting, watching it, being the spectator of something you don't control. It can make you sad, if you see it as the end of something. The end of a time. But you can also feel lot of joy out of it : This can bring you hope. Because after all, another day will come, no matter what happend, no matter what you do. Heaven comes down like the night. It tell you to take the loss of someone, or anything that makes your mourning, like a simple night that comes down. It's the best way to deal with it. It's how you'll get through it, and with dignity. There is a lot of others nights coming. This one night can't last forever. Open your eyes and let the sun rise again. Thanks for reading. Thanks Nova from ST Discord for motivating me to write this down. Good Sunrise everybody.
id just have to say thank you. ever since my father passed ive just felt..wrong..but your music makes me feel again..like taking a breath for the first time in a long time..like i'm gonna be ok..thank you
I saw an article about these guys on ThePRP, and I read a bit of an interview and saw pics of the lead singer before I ever heard a note. This was the first track I checked out, and this song did something that hasn't happened in a hot minute for me.. it surprised me. And I love it for that. This was SO not what I was expecting to hear, and now I can't get it out of my head. It haunts me in the best way.
I heard their song Jericho come through on Spotify. Listened to every other song they had released up to that point, then decided to find out who they were and I was fucking surprised. Lol
To those who spurn the evolution of artistry, who stand as mere shadows in the presence of greatness, I declare this: only the envious and the fearful dare to criticize the Mozarts of metal. It is a wonder, indeed, how the narrow-mindedness of some musicians can stifle the grandeur of innovation. True excellence provokes the noblest admiration and the basest resentment among the masses. Preferences will diverge, and even the most cherished bands may falter in the eyes of their most fervent followers. Yet, it is the hallmark of true courage to create music that is the very essence of one's being, ever-changing as the artist himself grows and transforms. When discourse ceases, so does significance. Compose from the depths of your soul, and never bow to the whims of others. Sleep Token are not of this world; they are a synthesis of rare and precious elements, a testament to the boundless possibilities of artistic creation.
Ive been working steady midnight shift for going on 5 years now. Ever since i first discovered this song, i time it to end right as i park my car. Its so uplifting in an emotionally heavy way. Theres such depth and texture. It absolutely encapsulates what the night is. Thank you guys so much for making music in general, but especially for this. Worship.
i actually hated this band for the longest time. i thought they took themselves too seriously with their cryptic messages and such, and wasn't "real metal" with the amount of gospel/ pop/ trap influences. they eventually grew on me. especially after this song. i listened to it a lot during a traumatic breakup. i can't tell you how much gratitude i have for this band. worship❤
I’m a relatively new Sleep Token fan and I heard Euclid before this song and once I heard this song I made the connection and it was absolutely incredible 😊🖤🤘🏻
I have just discovered Sleep Token within the past week. I have spammed myself with all of their albums nonstop, and it's all I have been listening to. Because of the comments here, I listened to this and then Euclid. MIND FUCKING BLOWN. How they connect their songs to each other. As a musician myself....just wow. I have no words to explain. What an amazingly talented, underrated band. ❤
I saw Sleep Token live back in 2019. I had no idea who they were at the time, just that they were opening for Polyphia and Issues. This was the first song they played. The very second they started, I felt the air in the room shift and I still can't explain it. SLEEP.
This song live was absolutely amazing, the singer sounded so fucking good raw, it was literally breathtaking. They killed it. And they put on a show for sure
Unlysdexia _ they have quickly become one of my favorite bands, was curious to what their show is like?! Seen videos and the vocals sounded insanely good! Curious to what your opinion is?
MrJdub322 vocals blew me away, and the vibes where amazing, they would go hard as fuck and the strobe lights would be crazy then they would chill out again and the guitarist and bassist where climbing and sitting up on the amps n shit. And they would like dance in a circle and the singers movements where very fitting to the aesthetic. Loved it
I saw these guys with Black Veil Brides, Motionless in White, and Ice Nine Kills. I've been meaning to listen to more of their stuff, and here I am, finally. I was impressed by them, even though I didn't know much about them at the time.
Who is here after listening to Euclid? The circle is complete. A beautiful and painful journey like no other. Worship.

People in the comment section of Sleep Token and Spiritbox videos saying that Kmac sent them.
I'm thinking I should start watching more Kmac.
I don't come from Kmac but yes you should!
Dude but you like Young Love In The Way
The world of unadulterated emotion that comes with this piece is unbelievable-- I have never experienced something so purely and uniquely gorgeous in its entirety.
Literally nothing touches this band

This song + Levitate together is one of the most devastating works of art ever made, no hyperbole.

Throw in euclid
The Night Does Not Belong To God. The Night Belongs To You.
Beautiful
Alot of people are about to jump to this song for the first time after the new album release
The night does not belong to god : Sharing with you my own philosophy interpretation of it.
This is a long explaination. I'll explain why it's in my opinion, a poetic and philosophical way to talk about how to deal with mourning.
Maybe you already noticed this in you life, maybe not...
But Whatever the country you from, whatever the language you talk, we all have this same behaviour :
When we need to reassure people or ourselves, we tend to repeat our words.
- "It's ok, It's ok.."
- "All gonna be fine, all gonna be fine..."
(So basically, be vigilant when you ear a politic repeating something : He's trying to reassure you ^^)
people suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder are repeating things to reassure themselve...
Granadilla amazing
How is night uninteresting?
Granadilla bro that’s cringe
You spoke from a very real perspective and I appreciate knowing that a somg brought this out of you.
That's beautiful. Thank you. Worship
I swear I have to listen to this song at least once a day. It just puts me in a mode of pure bliss.
If heaven and hell hugged and drowned in their own tears.
Good Lord… this is transcendental…
This song is so beautiful it never gets old when his voice first starts
My heart, and my soul feel alive when I hear your music. It's magical and transcendent. Thank you Sleep Token. Another masterpiece. 💗

Much love homie. Keep your head up 💜
This song feels like your first kiss.
Lol
this is just fucking perfect. from what I gather from reading these comments, it means the same thing to many of us. cheers and blessings to you all.
I saw it for the second time live last night. Beautiful....especially with all of the lights that they have now surrounding the stage.
Radio City Music Hall?! I was there too and it was LIFE CHANGING 🥲
I've loved this song for 3 years...then i hear euclid and fallen back in love all over again with this masterpiece...❤❤❤❤
I can FEEL this song. I feel the emotion behind it. Beautiful.
I can not articulate enough just how good this is. Every Sleep Token release blows my mind. Thank you. So hyped for the future of this band
Worship.
this song hurts me in ways i cant vocalize but i love it so much
i actually hated this band for the longest time. i thought they took themselves too seriously with their cryptic messages and such, and wasn't "real metal" with the amount of gospel/ pop/ trap influences. they eventually grew on me. especially after this song. i listened to it a lot during a traumatic breakup. i can't tell you how much gratitude i have for this band. worship❤
I’m a relatively new Sleep Token fan and I heard Euclid before this song and once I heard this song I made the connection and it was absolutely incredible 😊🖤🤘🏻
heard this yesterday i can't get it out of my head.. what a masterpiece..
this song is so so beautiful- I need to listen to this on a late night drive
I have just discovered Sleep Token within the past week. I have spammed myself with all of their albums nonstop, and it's all I have been listening to. Because of the comments here, I listened to this and then Euclid.
MIND FUCKING BLOWN. How they connect their songs to each other. As a musician myself....just wow. I have no words to explain.
What an amazingly talented, underrated band. ❤
The process of becoming has led us here, to this experience, a marker, a reminder of what I AM. How beautifully it all fits together.
Loved it
Looking for 2:43?
I cry when I see the lyrics of this song while playing it. Such a gorgeous and unique track. Definitely the best song I've ever listened to in years.
The night belongs to God
Was blaring this in my challenger at 5:00 am this morning driving to work, right before the sun comes up on an empty highway, stuff was cinematic
Can we take a second to appreciate that snare? Nice and roomy sounding and hits right in that pocket. Sounds so good
Can't wait to hear a full length album from you guys. What you make is really unique and amazing.
This music feels good.
Hearing euclid and coming back to this song is an amazing experience
I really wish that this song had more views for greater exposure. It really is an excellent. Also my nigga on the drums is great.
I saw these guys with Black Veil Brides, Motionless in White, and Ice Nine Kills. I've been meaning to listen to more of their stuff, and here I am, finally. I was impressed by them, even though I didn't know much about them at the time.
Wow this song brings tears to my eyes tbh....
we made it. The night belongs to you
Pure love in this one
I wear my Sundowning hoodie everyday and remember the fight you fellas took on. In your corner. There's an army out here for you guys. Much love.
The night and everything else belongs to God!
Don't lie! You know it!
going from a handful of songs you like to enjoying damn near every song they make is an interesting journey
This music speaks to the soul I thought I didn't have. 🖤💜🖤💜🖤
Euclid brought me back here
the night does not belong to god, the night belongs to you. worship.
