I'd be curious to know why this unit wasn't more popular.... seems easier to use this unit with a midi foot controller than the Boss floor models (GT-6, GT-8, 10, & GT-100) where you have to bend over to make parameter adjustments.

It was much more expensive than the pedal version (GT-8) and you needed a midi pedal as well, so all in all probably about double the cost or even more. I have the GT-pro myself since it came out and it has some additional features like USB (for recording and editing) and much more inputs and outputs. If you want to you can use pedals like the GT-8 with a midipedal as well and have the GT-8 on a table for editing.
