I'm looking for a pedal that can do Chorus, Reverb, and Delay at once. How do you use the looper if you need to press on 2 pedals at once to activate it? Did I miss something?
i have boss gt-1 connected to my computer via usb.. i run the Boss Tone Studio for GT-1 application. In the connections, I select the Midi In Midi Out and Audio In and Audio Out options, all for GT-1 .. I click connect and after a few seconds the window returns to select the connection option for Midi In ,Out and Audio In ,Out .. and so same thing over and over... why?
Great information in the intro, and Thank You for the top quality sound demo. I've just subscribed because I appreciate your plain language info. Does the Boss GT-1 do freeze/hold effects (like the EHX Freeze pedal... NOT the Tera Echo setting)??? Any feedback is appreciated... I'm looking to add a multi fx to my live board so I can: a. put it in the fx loop and have access to heaps of stuff b. peel it off the board and have a fly rig with presets that cover (on a fly rig quality scale) all of my live board sounds ...New idea for me... I hope it catches on. Rock on SAP... cool vids.
Yeah, great demonstration! I was all set, excited to get a new pedalboard going, now that I’m playing so much again. Then I was checking out this BOSS GT-1 again, and might be leaning towards that. I would like to get with the times, out of the 80s a little bit. And be a little more mobile to just go jam once in a while, maybe some gigs. Start small again, I guess. I never minded the digital sound over the years, like an old Crate, or when Line-6 started coming out. Why limit yourself. Anyway, does anyone know if one can get a really high gain modern metal kind of sound, almost death metal with his processor. If not, I was looking into just getting a metal zone pedal. Pretty fun to just chug along sometimes and play some Pantera or old Metallica. Then I like to dial-in more of a Van Halen sound… and we can’t forget some Texas blues with Stevie. I watched a bunch of tutorials, and see there is a tube screamer overdrive to add to the gain patches. I don’t wanna start using external stomp boxes plus a processing unit like this. I want to keep it simple. So, I could either get one of these for $200, or spend a little more than that and finish up my paddleboard. Hmmm. Thanks anyone!!! 🤘🏻🎸🇺🇸😎
You probably dont give a damn but does anybody know a method to log back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot my login password. I love any help you can give me.
@Grayson Karter i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and I'm in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Could anyone tell me if you can use the pitchshifter to drop the tuning and have it sound like it's tuned to e-flat for example. I just get weird unusable sounds. Thanks.
I’m looking for a busking pedal that gives my strat a few simple but quality classic sounds. A natural overdrive, reverb and delay, compression, EQ, maybe a chorus, and a wha if possible but not essential. Nothing crazy, just some nice quality live guitar sounds for busking. Any suggestions?
Hi Bradley, There is a few in stock at the moment which could do the trick for you: The BOSS GT-1 would be a great busking pedal, found here: www.soundaffects.com/gt-1-guitar-effects-processor-p6269 Mooer Red Truck (No WAH Though): www.soundaffects.com/effects-c1/multi-effect-c24/red-truck-combined-guitar-multi-effects-pedalboard-p8637
All these reviews about this unit and no one actually cycles through patches to see if there's any type of latency. Also, if one is on Patch 05 and wants Patch 25 how can this be done? Can you just jump to the specific patch then engage it or do you have to go through each one? If then latter then this unit is useless in live situations which mean you can't stomp it to get to the right patch.
Ans- you can't , you have to gang up your patches where you want them , I had this problem when I tried out the unit last week , great sound but for quick patch change forget it . If only they had fitted the double switches it would be ideal, that would be so handy .Boss/Roland doing what they do best, making a great unit then spoiling it with stupid glaringly obvious mistake that renders it useless for the majority of the buyers who need it. Its evident that the designer has never been in a gig; situation where you need to change patches while singing/performing accurately and quickly .would a three/four patch bank have been so hard ?
Hello Tom, like I think you are the master in effects review, I would like your opinion! Do you think its a good choice to use GT-1 and H9 together? Thanks.
Hope This Question would be notice =) I wanted to ask if what Power Supply or Power Adapter you use on this one? Looking forward to it, Better Music! Thanks! -Kael
If you plug it in via USB to your computer, it also can act as a sound card and it records incredibly well in that mode, with several of the effects having stereo!
How would I hook mine up to a boss katana 100? I have it going into the “power amp in” on the back. Not sure if is correct. I tried the fx loop as well. Didn’t really notice a difference. To many options for me. Ha
That’s exactly what the power amp in was built for. You can also use the acoustic preamp channel, since it’s just a flat preamp, that way to get the solid state gain stage from the Katana’s preamp along with another stage of EQ (turn the knobs all the way up to make it “flat”).
@@Corpsegrinder138 Yes, the knobs on the Katana; the knobs on the Katana are passive, not active (even though it's a digital preamp). When I had my Katana I preferred this method to connect my multi effects to the amp because I got that nice solid state gain stage in the preamp, which is the Katana secret sauce and why it handles pedals better than most digital amps.
No it is not easy to use. Easy to use if u are a computer programmer. They need to make them alot more easy to use. Not everyone is clude on to computer. U have to understand what about the people who have no idea about pc. So there for it's not super super easy year easy for you my friend.
The single worst sounding multieffects processor on the market when compared to virtually every other unit on the market. If you chose this, or any other Boss unit over any other, then you have a hearing problem because it's beyond obvious that Boss sounds dead and lifeless when compared to virtually any other effect pedal on the market today.

Their COSM s**t has always been like that. it's shocking that they sell any of it....
Um, I don't have a hearing problem. I think it's one of the better ones out there for the price. You just need to sit down and dial in YOUR sound. The pedal gives you presets, you need to know how and when to use them, how to tune them to your liking e.t.c.
In comparison to individual pedals? This kicks a kick ass FX pedal! highly recommend pay as play at www.zzounds.com Only 4 payments without credit. Check it out.
FINALLY a video that quickly and effectively explains how to use this. Thanks man.
Quality intro to the unit. Thank you.
Thank you very much. This the best explanation of how to use this unit
As soon as l saw it was Tom l knew this review was going to be top notch.
I just ordered this and excited! I’ll tell you how I like it!
Did u like it?
The twin tone at 4:07 sold me.
The problem with having Tom do these is he could make a crappy £10 amp sound great! Superb playing and review as always Tom.
Well you definitely don’t want an objectively poor player to be the person demoing it either 😂
Great review thanks
Thank you man. Can I get another video on different things you can do with BOSS GT1
Great review. I have opened mine yet so i thought this a useful quick tutorial. Thank you.
Thank you . Does it have synth and horn-like effects? even like POG type?
Thanks! I love The GT- 1... Perfect intro for beginners. 💪😎🤘
Realy. I am beginner
Awesome Tom, thanks for the heads up. Was up the creek without a paddle but a bit better clued about the unit now..... Solid
This is really good review
great demo Tom! think i'll order one
Thanks for supporting the video. They are available for pre-order on our website now and we can't wait to get them in stock
what about foot changes -without hand help?
Thanks for this video Tom... Any idea if it's possible to sync tremolos/reverbs from an external source, e.g. from the project tempo on a computer?
just got mine it's Great

Can boss gt1 be used as midi foot controller for pc apps like amplitube?

Which has the most amp models, the Boss GT-1 or the Zoom G3xn, trying to decide which one to order, they don't any at my music store. Can anyone help?
I have both, the GT one is much more high Gainey in the majority of its affects,if you're looking for just beautiful girl sounds zoom maybe more it☺️
Can you run it in 4 cable and put mods in your amps effects loop?
I’m not sure if I should just get the boss katana or this

You can move your patch, 05 then next patch 25? easy just move the patch , try read the manual ,its there
Read the Manual.. That's a great concept. But I want everyone to do the work for me. I agree. Read the manual. It will answer most questions.
