Fantastic vid! Someone mentioned your channel in one of John Cordy vids about the Boss GT 1000 core. I'm glad they did because this gives me a better idea of what the GT 1000 Core can do. Thanks!

Tried one out for a period earlier this year and was blown away by the sound and the feel….Haven’t decided yet to wait for the next generation from Boss or to get this one….Great playing 😊👍🎸
The chorus of that song borrows heavily from, and at times is identical to, Pink Floyd’s Comfortably Numb’s melody. Every time I’ve accidentally written a song that borrows a melody from another song, even slightly, my band mates would immediately trash it. Im glad you guys kept it.
Hi Paul,I had an 18w Marshall that i used to mike up etc,.I did a back to back one day with my Atomic Amplifire AA12 .Sold the Marshall as the AA sounded better, was easier to interface, less noise and no valve servicing or lugging around.Lol happy.
Hey Paul! I downloaded your breakup and ultimate patches and I've been A/B'ing them all morning with some of my other favorite CORE patches. They sound fantastic! I don't even run a stereo rig - strictly mono. Thanks for sharing those, because they are going to give me hours of enjoyment.
Paul love your videos - always excellent. When I record I record both the effected sound plus the guitar DI. If later I decide that the "baked in" effects need changing, I simply reamp the DI recording back through the Boss and adjust as necessary. That way I don't have to use VSTs or other plugins. I'm using the GX100 (which is superb) but I think you can do the same with the 1000 models.
Thx Paul. Really nice presentation not only on the equipment itself but also the arrangements between the three guitar parts and how you achieve depth and breadth sonically. Maybe a future video on how to record acoustic guitar parts and how it’s mixed in with electric. Appreciate the great work and sharing of your talents and experience.
Great tips in here Paul. Said it before but that track really is awesome and Ralphs vocals top drawer. Great listening. Tell me was he really reading the lyrics of his mobile 🤣
sounds great, im getting one and a fulltone aby then getting a bit of tube from my mini rec to add a tiny bit from my 57 and wgs 10 inch cab, then blend , this has the fidelity and dosent sound like every others amp out there , i feel it does need to be blended though just needs that something, maybe a tube pedal in front of it
The GT1000 core has SO many hidden features that blow me away. Did you know that when you split the signal path, you can actually have it dynamically choose which path to use based on how hard you pick, or send different frequencies down different paths? That’s nuts! You can also program a button to drop your tone a half step or full step, essentially going from standard tuning to drop D, without actually changing the tuning on you guitar. So cool. I found this excellent RUclipsr showing some incredible overlooked features… ruclips.net/video/GeGkpyfnUSk/видео.html
I gave it a go, and can say that for high gain, it's a no go. The noise gate is not great and the amp models are more noisy than a real amp with any kind of significant gain. Switched to the Headrush Prime and looks like I'll be keeping this one :)
sounded amazing. i like my amp to have two channels. an edge of break up and a driven tone. i don't touch the amp settings at all other than switching from channel 1 - 2. so basically, if i can get a simple modeler with this type of operation at the end of my pedal board, and sound like your tones, i'd be a happy man. less real amp gigs.

Loving how flat I am able to run the eqs. Have you done (or could you do) a vid on how to rig one onboard amp thru one side and a different one thru the other? Great sounds and playing! How are you powering this unit? Are you using the provided plug or have you found a way to power it from a power supply eg. Voodoo Labs/ 1 spot? Love the channel and just bought myself a Core :)
3:10 You'd have a good point if you were saying this was the easiest solution, but you are strongly implying it's the only solution. Just use the multiple outs from the GT-100, one output to send the guitar input RAW to the DAW, and the second cooked. If you decide later you want to play with the cooking, just pipe the raw track back out to the daw and re-record it. I've been doing that since like 1985.
This answer some of my questions about the GT. I'm not a professional musician. I just want to know if the GT good enough to make okay or better home recordings. I would feel comfortable playing an amp in my apartment for more than 20 minutes.
Hi Paul great video as always, love your playing it inspires me want to practice. Not sure if this applies to the GT1000 but on the Helix I can send a wet signal through channels 1 & 2 and dry through 7 & 8, I monitor the wet signal through a power cab and it cuts down on the RTL in the DAW. Maybe the GT1000 has a similar set up for recording just the dry signal ?
The GT1000 is a real good device. But i still use the old GT100. ( coming out in 2012). If I like to buy something new, what should happen with the older devices ? Selling them is not really an option because the used market is full of those and therefore the prices are low.

Hey Paul! Such a inspiring song my man! Question: I have a ES-8 and considering the gt1000 or a helix stomp as a tool box for sounds. I currently separate my effects (reverb delays etc) into a effects loop of my amp to keep them clean. Wondering how you use this live? Am kinda thinking I would have to use this running all of it through my effects loop and treat it as a second amp using only my power section. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
