    With a city council and county attorney who won’t stop homeless camps nor punish criminals, the 2035 outlook is bleak. You get what you vote for.

    Making "unique & bold changes" is all well & good. However, if the political "geniuses" (thank you, Sid Hartman, for this wonderful descriptor) who currently reign in Minneapolis have not yet understood that the perception of the character of downtown MUST be that it's safe, none of these changes will matter.
    Young men in groups who can defend themselves will come downtown, but young women, and especially families with children, will mostly, if not completely, stay away. It might be the case that Mayor Frey has finally discovered this truth, but I fear that the City Councilors are just as blind & senseless to this reality as in the past, and no where near understanding this to be the case.
