- So we decided to try our luck at Gaymans bridge..We stopped by Brownsville bait and tackle to visit Mr. Carlos and see if he had any bait. Luckily we got some bait from him and headed to the mud hole.. once we got there The bite was on fire! We were using the single drop rig with dead and live mullet. Either cut bait or whole both were working and we were able to get our limit within a couple of hours.. Towards the end my camera died and I wasn't able to get some catches on video.. but either way we got our limit and had a great morning. Also just a reminder that it Always helps to take your cast net! Either way guys I hope you guys enjoy the video and thanks for watching!

Hi from New Hampshire !! I noticed you are using what appeared to be a Penn high speed Battle 3 reel. How do you like it ? I have a Battle 3 5000 I use for stripers up here in NH and Mass. I'm thinking of adding a 4000 high speed to my equipment for smaller species, but I still want to be able to top water fish for the stripers with it as well. With the currents and the size of some of the fish I don't believe anything smaller than a 4000 would stand up to the " abuse " . I think it might be a little small for the surf but..... Any thought ? My first time watching any of your videos. I subscribed ! Best wishes. -- dennis
Hey dennis thanks for watching and subscribing to my channel! So far it's been a great reel. I'm not sponsored by them or anything but I Haven't had any issues with it so far and handles very well. I use 20lb braid on it and use it for pretty much everything. Lures, jetty fishing with a popping cork or just tie up a leader and chuck out some bait. So far the reel has held up to some nice sized reds, trout, and sheepshead . the rod is the only thing Id switch up depending on the type of fishing you wanna do. But other than that for the price it's a pretty sweet reel.
