Went fishing with the family for a few hours and luckily I managed to get a keeper red before we were taking off. I didnt get to make the type of video I wanted to make but I still managed to gather up a few things to make a small video. Went bass fishing with my buddy Joe to a few places in South pharr. We tried our luck using the Berkley swim baits, which we got at Walmart.. I wasn't able to the land the bass I hooked up too but luckily Joe was able to land a few small bass. Either way hope u guys enjoy the short video and thanks for watching!

So we decided to go fishing for a carp in a new area.. Unfortunately it was trashed pretty bad and my GoPro kept messing up on me as well.. but we still managed to catch a few carp for bait.. Decided to post another old video that I had been working on from a few weeks back.. We tried the pier for a while and didn't really have much luck catching any keepers so we took off to the jetties to try our luck. After being there for a while Mom ended up hooking up to a nice keeper redfish and a nice sized sheepshead. Either way guys hope you guys enjoy the video and thanks for watching!

So when I got home I noticed the tip of my rod was broken! It really sucked because It was a great rod! I had used that rod to catch a ton of fish anywhere from bullreds to big ol pompanos, Spanish mackerel ,flounder, trout, so many fish to name.. It's in spi right before crossing the bridge back to port Isabel. By the bird watch bridge that they closed down.

Went out this weekend, and trout were slapping bait on top of the water. Could not get the bigger tout to bite on live shrimp or lures. Did end yup with a few sand trout.
Usually when they dont want lures or shrimp they will more than likely be feeding on mullet. Just got to use the castnet and try to find some

What color lure do you prefer for under the lights?
@@fshkypr usually I'll try different colors to see what the fish are wanting that day but for the most part I like to use purple, white, pink , or the copper colored ones.
@@fshkypr or just the regular glow in the dark ones work as well

A few months ago the last light was out, then they replaced the light with a different type and it does not seem attract as many fish like the old light.☹

what all rigs do you use at these kind of jetties
@@southtexasSunandsea just a single drop rig with a 1oz weight and a size 2 hook for Sheepshead. They should start to come in in a couple months
Or a floater rig..just a popping cork with about 4 or 5 ft of leader. Just depends on the area you are fishing.
@@fishingwithleo does drop rig work with cut mullet and live mullet/croaker for catching reds and trout's and all , or do you suggest another rig for those , mostly hitting Galveston and surfside jetties
@@southtexasSunandsea yes that rig works as well for reds and trout but id probably use a different hook one that's Abit bigger..the size 2 hook will still bring in a red but I usually just use it for sheepshead and pompano... Like a 1/0 through 3/0 should be good for live bait. usually it just personal preference but For trout I like to just free line the bait with maybe a few split shots if there's a lot of choppy waves or movement.. or just with a popping cork with like a 3 or 4 ft leader should work as well

@@ia6980 honestly I dont remember. I know mine came with one but those grills are really good. I've used it so many times and it's still works great! Just got to clean them and you should be good.
