My sealed RS4 PNP actually came with the 386 Rotortech Blades (gold/white graphics with "RT" logo). The shop owner said Goosky said you may get RT or Goosky blades, and the shop owner said the RT are much better.
I did confirm that! They are shipping with RT blades. Not the ultimate spot the regular Rototechs. I have heard they have had quite a few issues with the Goosky Blades and that’s why they have been includeding RT blades in the kit. You will be much happier with RT blades I’ve the stock Goosky blades.
@westhobbiesrc8051 Quick Question Jeff... RAW 700, are you running SAB Stock Dampeners or are you running X Guard's? Are you running 693, 700 or what make & style of Blades are you using for the RAW 700. Thanks Jeff!
Great video Jeff. Thank you for doing this test and I am looking forward to the RT 385mm blade test. Also I saw a video on the Goblin 420 Raw using the RT 420mm blades at 1800 rpm and it was fantastic. The bird could still do soft 3D with slow flight which is what I am interested in. Is there any chance you could do a low speed test (1800rpm or lower rpm) with your Goblin 420 Raw using the RT420mm blades? It seems that RT Blade are the cat's meow?
I am going to order a set of RT 420mm blades for the 420. I’ve heard great things about those blades on the 420 and low head speed. I could do a 1800 RPM flight. I personally wouldn’t go any lower because of table for you. It is Paul weed for the best till performance above 2200 RPM but for soft 3D I don’t see there being a issue! RotorTech makes a fantastic blade. Both main and tail, I have used them on multiple helicopters of all sizes.
I can tell you aren’t going to let this helicopter beat you 😂 especially when I hear “ikon”, head dampers and other blades. Jeff is gunna win folks! Thanks for keeping us up to date on your progress with this helicopter. The kit itself seems to be ok but the electronics seem to be the weakness. Maybe there will be a V2 with a kit where we can pick servos, esc and FBL we wanna use!
There already is a kit like that besides the servos. You have to use goosky servos on it at this point. Its like $80 cheaper for the kit without the FBL
@@Lance57H yeah I get that but @619.99 that’s not much of a deal IMO…..what FBL unit are you going to get for $80? To add a decent FBL to that 619.99 now you are close to RAW 420 (flight ready with high quality electronics)money….and aren’t locked in to specific servos and esc. Not brand bashing…just my personal observation!
@@CrenSpirit oh no I agree with you, I'm actually in the process of saving up for a Raw 420 myself. It's kind of ridiculous that they are only giving you $80 off if you don't want their ESC or FBL unit. If you were to go the Goosky route, you would definitely just want to go with the full $699 kit over the $619 kit. I bet to someone with little experience though, the Goosky would be a great kit to start out with.
@@Lance57H yeah agreed 100%. I’m just an Align guy for the last 15 years, just bought a RAW 580 (12s setup!)a few weeks ago…SAB fan now 🤣 I did consider trying out this helicopter but I have expectations that unfortunately might not be met with this kit (as stated, just the electronics, rest looks top notch), which is why if they did an actual kit or possibly a V2 (with more flexibility for components)I would definitely be interested in! That is the problem with experienced heli guys….we have expectations lol 😂 I really do like it, just needs a bit of work for me 🤓 to pull the trigger on one. I do think Jeff will get this bird flying to his liking and what’s exciting is we get to come along. I am curious to see what it will take.
@@CrenSpirit yeah you definitely have some experience and I can respect that this heli just wouldn't be enough for you. I'm really new to the hobby. Only really got more serious with it about two months ago. However, it's really addictive and I'm just working towards refining my skills. I have both a OMP M2 and M1 Evo that I've been learning with. I also try to spend time on the simulators even though I hate it 😂. I just want to get a more serious heli that I can really grow into and refine my skills with. I was seriously considering this one, but I know down the road I would have just wished I got the RAW instead. I'm definitely a buy once cry once type person.
Hello, Nice heli and great flying. I have been having an issue with my oxy, in normal mode the heli shakes but as a switch to higher head speed, the shake completely disappears. I tried different pitche curves but still same thing. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you! Which Oxsee? It’s not going to be a pitch curve issue. If the helicopter is shaking at a low head speed it is either your blades are too tight or your head dampeners are too hard. How tight are the blades? What head dampeners are you using?
Yes you can use for 70 blades. They’re about 10 mm shorter than stock. I would recommend the RT ultimate 385mm. I’ve been told that a lot of the new kits are coming with RotoTech from the factory.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 yeah but too expensive for me. Can't even afford to get the kit for now. Maybe on march or april i dont know. I'm still saving only have 200$ for now.
@WestHobbiesRC sweet, was looking forward to them. I really do appreciate what u do for us in the community. Keep up the good videos and work. So much appreciated 😁😁
I wonder what the people on the highway are thinking when they see one of your helicopters out there doing these stunts. I wonder if they're in awe at what a helicopter can actually do or if they're like scared of like the helicopter crashing into them or something.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 You definitely would not want to crash an RC helicopter especially a very large one into someone. They have killed people before. This is not to say you're a bad pilot or anything. But rather to say that everyone messes up eventually and you just hope that it never ends up hurting or killing someone. It's a misfortune that I actually honestly kinda dread if ya know what I mean.
That just makes me chuckle when you hit stunt mode 2. lol just sounds insane.
You're welcome brother

The deadband feels horrible on the fbl, also the tail slider is a huge problem for the tail, almost no left yaw pitch travel.
The dead band is terrible, but! Different blades help it big time. That’s weird on the tail slider? I have perfect throw both ways.
