Joseph Valvano 😳 my condolences 👀 me too since 1969 ! Heartbreak Hotel 🏈 The Vikes win just one of those 3 Super Bowls the great Chuck Foreman helped bring in his first 4 seasons , #44 would be in The HOF 💥 Also my BIGGEST victory as a fan was “ The Anthony Carter “ game in the 87’ season ✨

I can't remember who said it, but my favorite quote about Randy Moss towards the end of '98 was that he had two speeds "here he comes and there he goes".
Did I hear that right, Jerry Burns served as the Vikings Offensive Coordinator for 18 years? Vikings haven't had the same coordinator for more than a year or two since then. God bless Coach Burns! I sat a few seats away from him at a game a few years ago.
Does my memory fail me, or did Bud once say he drafted Darrin Nelson ahead of Marcus Allen because Stanford played on turf whereas USC played on grass, and since they were moving into the dome, he thought Nelson was the better choice? If that's true then add one more reason why moving indoors was an unfortunate event. With Allen on the team the Walker trade never happens.
1987 is one of my favorite "modern day" post Fran Tarkenton Viking seasons. I remember the Thanksgiving day win vs the Cowboys. Great playoff wins vs the Saints and 49ers. If Darren Nelson just catches the ball in the NFC Championship game it would have at the least been first and goal from the one yard line. And if they beat the Redskins they would have beat the Broncos in the SuperBowl. They had a great team that year. A solid offensive line, a dominant defense, good receivers, a competent quarterback, and a link to their past in coach Jerry Burns. No running game though. A huge missed opportunity for a championship. Then came the disastrous Herschel Walker trade and 30 years later they still haven't recovered.
A hardcore Vikings fan from the past ., Who loved the purple people eaters especially Chuck Foreman and my man Fran!.. However in 1998 they had a hell of a team and without that missed field goal in the playoffs they could have won the super bowl I believe
Does anyone else remember when Fran Tarkenton got pissed and threw the ball and hit an official in the back? I can't remember who they were playing or what year. I've been trying to find that video for years. Anyone else remember this happening?? I'm beginning to think maybe I imagined it.
Best Minnesota team ever put together 1998. Much better than any of the Superbowl teams that were not even competitive. Yep! They blew that one too. Only team I feel more sorry for. Buffalo.
Best offense but far from best defense ! Only thing Offense could have used A top notch Quarterback .And of course the only field goal miss to not have happened .
I don't think your fair calling Walker A POS he was a great player just didn't live up to the Vikings Hype of him .How any Vikings Brass could give away all they did for one above average running back is crazy .
The NFL decided to block both "quarter" 2 and "quarter" 4 videos...but only in the U.S. So, if you wanted to travel outside of the U.S., there's a good chance you'd be able to watch both (how ridiculous is that?).
I just looked, and apparently, after 6,326 RUclips views, the NFL decided they might be losing money by allowing the public to view this half-hour portion of the video (I call it the "Second Quarter"), so they blocked it. However, if you travel outside of the United States, it's apparently still viewable. I just don't get it!?
@@rkyveit Thanks Randy. I would love to see that. I had no idea that Tarkenton left, then returned to t he Vikes. I wore his jersey back when I was a child in Milwaukee. I loved my time living in Mpls. and have always had a place in my heart for the franchise even though I am first and foremost a Packer fan.
Great Vikings back then.Don't think players are the same anymore. These were the golden years to 2000.
As a Viking fan since 1964, I am all smiles.....

Kramer sure threw a sweet ball!

I am pretty sure that was John Madden.
Amazing

Lucky; Jerry burns ex Minnesota viking coach

Ouch. Never understood that selection
BEST franchise ALL-TIME ...... SKOL .....!!!!
We need a sb victory
'Pulled off' a blockbuster trade with the Dallas Cowboys? Yeah, and I 'pulled off' giving my wallet to a mugger.
Well like willingly giving mugger your wallet

❤️ Tommy Kramer& Minnesota viking especially 1960s/ 1970s
CRUSHED BY 49ERs twice in playoffs 1988/9 as 49ers won 2 more Superbowls.
Funny Viking fact, Cris Carter only led the Vikings in receiving yards once, with like 600 yards. Then Jake Reed always edged him out, then came Moss.
Better check your facts 1991, 1993 ,1995 all over 1000 yards and the team leader !!!
I love Tommy Kramer! #9
TOUCHDOWN TOMMY
Ken A “ Whiskey Tommy “ 💥
❤️ Tommy Kramer;
Vikings 4 ever

+@@vikwillwin Herchel Walker trade one of the dumbest in NFL history. Kinda like Pastorini for Stabler. Houston-Oakland 1980.
Man I wonder what happened to Dallas when they traded hershal Walker
Any ideas about the second quarter of this series?
It was blocked (but for some reason only in the U.S.) by the NFL.
What bout 4th quarter that get blocked
The Vikings "pulled off" the Herchel Walker trade? Now that's funny.
Candy Banks Dallas won all those SB in the 1990’s because of that WORST DEAL 🏈ever!
The POS Walker was the worst thing that *EVER* happened with the Vikings! Even worse than losing 4 rings.
I don't think your fair calling Walker A POS he was a great player just didn't live up to the Vikings Hype of him .How any Vikings Brass could give away all they did for one above average running back is crazy .
Chris Carter-"All he does is catch touchdowns"
Buddy ryan..lol
any reason why cant see part 2 or 4?

HW trade was the worst. Set back the Vikings back big time.
where is the second quarter?

I also love Prince! LOL!
Vikings will win the Super Bowl if they can play Cleveland. They're even more snakebit.
I think they should play Buffalo. Battle of the 4 losing super bowl teams..lol
