(DISCLAIMER) There was a documentary released about this case on a show called "Unusual Suspects" back in 2012, the episode titled "Death Of An Angel" was the 8th episode of the series 3rd season. The show is streamable on multiple platforms, but when you try to stream this specific episode (on every platform) it says "This episode is unavailable". Which I think is ridiculous, considering the amount of information in that episode, plus, just the fact that her case and her story was only told on that very episode... Well I somehow got a hold of that episode, which isn't out there ANYWHERE. So the interview clips you see my episode are actually sampled from that 2012 documentary. I also grew up and live close to where this crime occurred and have known about it my entire life. This is a case that is really close to my heart and I just wanted to take the time to really tell this story the best I possibly could, and just include stuff in this very documentary that you cannot find anywhere on the web. This episode took an exponential amount of time to produce, but as always, is well worth it. ALSO (IMPORTANT) MARK SOTKA IS UP FOR PAROLE THIS SUMMER

I was in the field the night before her body was found, potentially feet from her body. A friend and I decided to move to a different area because of the overpowering odor that we THOUGHT was a large dead animal. A deer, potentially. A day or two later when her body was found there, I was speechless.
Oddly enough, we were there to listen to music in our cars. A friend got an advanced copy of a new band on a CD. The bad was called TOOL. The final track on that CD is a song called “Disgustipated”. If you really want to get the chills, listen to the last 2 minutes of that song. THAT was the song that creeped us out, added to the smell that made us move to a different location.
That is INSANE!! That honestly gave me the chills just reading it. It must’ve been pretty creepy to hear about the news at the time and realize that you guys were indeed close to the body. Damn, very scary. Thank you for sharing!! Was this close to where the Lake Erie bluffs is now at?

Sadly n tragically enough this happened in our hometown of Mentor and the killer is currently up for parole , n piece of s**t should never see the light of the day !!

my mom was in the same friend group as mark and she said he was a scrawny guy 😮
