I feel like this is one of the really elegant rides, not only because of the urban environment and the pink structure, but also the smooth curves of the ride and the loop it goes through in the end.
The Sexy Blond Guy Is Awesome yes american dream boy, all rollercoasters in japan have very slow lifthills, this is because japan is a very poor country... i think the best coasters are from america: "The great american relovution" designed and built in germany... very emberrasing^^... sry i dont know if you are american, but a comment like: japans lifthills are slow by seeing one japanese coaster, can just be american XD... and you like a blonde skater boy from the 80s, the girls in europe would lough about you^^

Definitely more impressive from the perspective of a bystander watching the coaster plunge into the water than from the perspective of the rider where it just looks like you are going into a tunnel, not plunging into the water.

With a long train like that, it would have been cool if there were a few more hills and bunny hops for air-time. I think most lift hills that are slow ( not like that ) are to help build up the anticipation/get the heart going. This is more like a challenge to stay awake...and/or a preview of how tame this ride will be.
Back in 2005, I was visitng a high school buddy of mine who had moved back to Japan. He and I took a ride on this. It was rather tame, but it was something to do while in Yokohama for the afternoon.

I remember when Magnum was the new, super fast, exciting coaster. It's funny to think of that lift hill as "slow" now. We used to stand in line for two hours to ride that thing. :)

i think its because when it starts the climb only a small portion of the ride is actually on the chain, thats why it gets faster near the top.
