Ron Dante is totally selling this song and singlehandedly keeping the Turtles going. Ron's humility is making this work. God bless Mark. He's hanging in there.
Thank you for posting. Ron Dante’s ongoing musical talents and abilities-consistent through 6 decades!-are legend. But seeing Mark Volman is all the feels…His attitude with his disease has been incredible, and it’s great to see him onstage.❤👏👍🙏
saw flo & eddie waaaay back in 1973 at cincinnati gardens.....they were the opening act for alice cooper billion dollar babies concert......loved the turtles
Back in early 90's when I lived in L.A., he was one of the coaches in Del Rey Little League, very nice guy. His hair was darker then, so was mine. One of the Turtle albums was hanging up in a restaurant in town.
@@philippekarczewski6407 But he never offered to die on a cross to save the world from their sins. Only Jesus Christ did that for the sins of all the world.
with all respect to Mark and Ron Dante who alone does a great job keeping the Turtles alive in the 2020s, you cannot have the Turtles without Howard Kaylan. period.
Saw them Along with Grass Roots, Byrds, Herman’s Hermits & Mark Lindsey 60’s SuperFest Mid 1980’s Cleveland Nautica Stage Still have the album & booklette that was sold after this Fantastic outdoor concert. CB
my favorite turtles song if theyre not in the rock and roll hall of fame they should be a lot of hits in a short period of time and im 40 big fan of their music so is my buddy dimitrious
I worked with a woman in Minneapolis whose name was Eleanor. She was much much older, and I wanted to sing this to her, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. She wouldn't have known the song anyway.
Nobody does man, including myself. Howard has been sick for years and mark is going through Dewey’s dementia. Ron Dante who sings sugar sugar filled the shows for Howard. No one will be as good as the original turtles hit hearing the music in a concert setting is great and and good way to try and keep the music alive
@@benedettogee Howard Kaylan has effectively back problems since a while. It must be hard for him to be unable to accompany his old friend& partner and, that is surely is, his last laps of the track for Mark. My dad has that disease and unfortunately, there is no way back, no remedy.
@@benedettogee Thanks. I had no idea. I hope he is doing ok. He gave my friend and I a ride when we were hitchhiking in Kings Canyon State Park back in 1971 or 72. Real nice guy, intelligent and funny as hell. He was with the Mothers then. Thanks again and Best Wishes to Howard!
@benedettogee I supported the music plenty in my time. I was going to Flo & Eddie shows in the 70's. However, IMO, I have no obligation to continue to support what, in my view, is an inferior product
I saw them live about 10 years ago. They were still very good. Sorry to see what has happened to Mark. He was always the clown of the group, and Howard is not in good health. Time catches up with us all. but the Turtles in their time were fantastic and I'll concentrate on that and remember, and smile.@@w.llawrence86
Ron is great but Howard was one of the best singers of our generation

I didn't know him up to this video, he reminds me very much of Carl Wayne from The Move. And he nails Eleanor.
God as a young teenager I just loved the turtles! Great music great band!
That song is a fabulous memory from my childhood. I played it over and over and over.
Me to im in my seventies now know all the words to this sang it many times!!
The Turtles...
One of the 60’s
Very Best! CB
WOW THE TURTLES!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤THE BEST!!!!
It’s not them!
Takes me back to better days. Love this song❤
The Turtles should be in the Rock n' Roll HOF. So why aren't they??
Mucho Bla bla bla
Anymore, it's not a huge deal. The founding idea of the RHOF has been totally obliterated.
When they were with Zappa, the arrangement they did on Happy Together was incredible. The middle break in the song was accapella.
I remember the year 2003, when I was listening to a local radio station and I heard that wonderful tune
Great song! Great band!
I saw that show in Boston, March of 1973. My very first of many concerts
Thanks for singing my song! My name is ELEANOR
hi, I'm desperately looking for Eleanor from TPC factory in Telford in the early 90s. Long shot I know but ... is it you? 😮
No not me….
Eleanor, Can We? ❤Greetings from N.Kentucky USA Y'All 🇺🇸 Stay Safe and Well, wherever you are. ⚘️
Hi Eleanor
Loved them then, love them now!
I needed this in ways I can't explain. Thank you ❤
Anytime man. I feel you, music is the only thing that cheers me up
Damn me too
The amazing Godfrey Townsend on lead guitar!

My very first concert back in 1974 was Alice Cooper and Flo & Eddie opened for them!
I too saw them in Southern California with Alice Cooper in 1974 and again in 1976.

Mark Volman still dresses cool.
That's exactly what I thought .. still got the style .. excellent

Flo & Eddie sang on a Jefferson Airplane album in the 1980’s.
?
Nope
In the 80s it was the the starship, but they did sing on an airplane album according to Howard sbook

You have to read Howard‘s book. It’s amazing. And self narrated on Audible.
ELENORE.
❤❤❤❤❤
Excellent
You’ve got to love a band that uses et cetera (pronounced “et set-trah”) as a real lyric element in a song, to rhyme with better (bettah)!
No Howie? Marc is great, but ... no Howie?
Howard was forced to retire due to health issues
B@@tomgoodsite4499so it's not the Turtles. Maybe the Turchies or the Artles

I hope Howard is doing well!
Where is the tambourine? Lol..
