If you can get back there, I think they have a hidden gem at the top shelf behind the counter. That 1.75 L very old Barton might be the six year age stated bottled and bond. That bottling was discontinued. I think five or six years ago.
By the way the best place in Louisville for bourbon is...... Costco. Louisville prices in general are high. The Costco there has an amazing selection at low prices. It's not to the California Costco levels but it's the closest I've seen in any other state.
We typically only hit the stores that our in the general area we are in or driving past. Also Tennessee doesn’t allow liquor sales in grocery stores and we always forget about it when we are out of state.
We have limited space and Amy actually hasn’t been a fan of the green river we do have also I believe I can grab that in Knoxville. We did recently have a poor and I really enjoyed it.
@@decknightontherocksbourbon I think your missing out. I've never tried the basic green rivers just this one. Personally I thinks it's a banger. It's right up with the EC barrel proofs.
They keep that behind the counter because of theft..... especially the pint sized bottles. Never found much there. Seems the bigger liquor barn locations have a lot better setup.
Homer those little bottles are behind the counter because they are easy to shoplift. It's not because they're the good stuff. It's much easier to slip a small down your pants than a 750 ml
Yeah, your right in the moment it just didn’t cross my mind I was more thinking about “only the good shit is behind the counter”. Maybe it didn’t dawn on me at the time is because Usually it’s only the standard stuff not the trash liquor in pints at least not bourbon.

We are home now, and we won't be going back anytime soon. but I've never heard of that being a thing so thanks fo0r the knowledge.
Also try that JW Dant BIB white label. It’s good for the money
Dave and i where just discussing that one
@@decknightontherocksbourbonI hope you all like it if you get one. If not it’s good for mixing

I would have picked up that green river full proof 117.3. For 44.99.pretty sure Amy would have liked it. Maybe you too. Crazy good for the price.

We walked to that store from the main drag and there were four bums passed out on the sidewalk out in front, so we turned around and walked away.
Great choice, that is the general feel of the place on the inside to, staff was nice though.
We went in but you’re spot on about the bums. I wouldn’t go back there on a bet!

Yeah, I should have known that.

Yeah, I'm not sure why folk don't understand that.
