The true genius of elder scrolls books n notes n shit is the way they take into account the perspective of who wrote it. I swear no other game has lore entries that feel alive, it's always some wikipedia article tier stuff.
Had my library in my room apartment at Ald'ruhn back then. It was really a few piles of books reaching the ceiling, yet it was MY LIBRARY

@@dopaminecloud Furthermore, the *only* material for lore is an in-universe perspective. There's no "codex" that gives objective information like Mass Effect or something similar. There's also only two novels for the whole setting, so there's very little objective perspectives in the setting just like irl.

The explorer is by far the most broken.
Once he stumbles upon the chameleon necklace , it's GGWP , the sky is the limit.
The only debuff he receive is the unreadable journal filled with quests he never finished.
I was the "Reader" back as a kid. I distinctly remember booting up Morrowing one day and just started reading the in-game books that were in front of me. Next thing I knew several hours had passed
I know how it feels. It happened to me, as a youngster, when playing Daggerfall. Libraries in that (magnificent) game are just there for that kind of purpose...
The sense of peace that the scarce Morrowind rains bring to the calm marshes of the Bitter Coast and Ascadian Isles never gets old.

Def RPer, modder, chiller type for me. In that order. I RP in the game, I install mods that align with the RP I am doing, and then chill doing my RP as I play the game.
I snatched the Rasputina mp3(or wav) song from some vampire universe global mod that was never even able to run for me, yet it made me a rasputina fan for quite a time
The best part of Morrowind is how flexible it can be in mods, there are mods where you can join religious cults, side with the villains, whole new guilds, Morrowind is pure untapped potential, shame there is not as many modders there as in Skyrim.

Though I will say, even after all these years, the Great House Dagoth mod is one that is near and dear to my heart.

Back in the day, with my first mainquest playthrough... Noob -> Explorer / Roleplayer -> Exploiter -> Modder
I remember turning Magas Volar into my base of operations near the end. Enchanted hundreds of Daedric Shields with stackable stat boosts, I think I thought of them as pages to a daedric codex of infinity. Non-cheat way to get stats to insane heights (1000s? 10000s? I forget how high I needed in order to enchant overpowered items / create spells or something with crazy stats. Fly around leveling cities then load after I regret it lol)
Lastly before I stopped playing, I was working on a mod related to Magas Volar called Daedric Sanctuary... Too bad I couldn't stay focused and finish it...

I think that error was due to the save file size getting progressively larger as you played.
I'm the explorer, the reader, the modder, the role player, and chill. All rolled into one. Sometimes the cheater and exploiter as well. Honestly I been playing Morrowind so damned long the type of player I am depends on my mood that day, and which character I load up.
Can't wait to play again!

Everyone knows the OG xbox version of morrowind is the best. Dont use the 360 as an example, as it did most backwards compatibility absolutely terribly. On the OG xbox it rocks. But i will say, it plays great on the xbox one. The way its optimized is really nice. I own both xbox and PC versions and have been playing for over 20 years. The ease of use, the menus, etc. I like it much better. Switching through weapons and spells is effortless. Theres pros and cons to both versions, but PC has more cons imo.
All roads eventually lead to the chill. It's something about Morrowind's charm that can't be found in newer games (maybe in Oblivion for it's goofiness)

Im the exploitative guy.... But I do it with a sense of restraint and caution. I almost always start as an alchemist and use potions and speechcraft/mercantile to raise my intelligence, luck and personality. Then I concoct the "big five restoration pots" and all the necessary fortify, reflect and levitate pots for my playthrough. Periodically stopping in at balmora to dump my excess of mats onto poor dead man hlaalu and get a good rest. That way, instead of grinding non stop, I can use the restocking mechant exploit and make tons of gold from reselling pots. Is it exploitative behaviour? Sure. But its just a joy to do. And as long as you dont go too nuts with your intelligence, your potions can still be tame and allow for a challenging playthrough on higher difficulties. Perhaps its because I am poor in real life? Perhaps its because I dont like being a modern slave? But when I am in the world of Morrowind, I want become fabulously rich! Getting training for everything, wooing all the npcs and getting a bad case of the levitation zoomies whilst poking cliffracers out of the sky with my spear is peak Elder Scolls to me. And that is why Morrowind will always be my favorite. 😂

its me. im the noob. started with skyrim (yes yes i know, the most unholy sin for the elder scrolls fandom) eventually played oblivion, enjoyed it, and just recently bought morrowind
I'm the "Agility spec addict" who starts the game with 80 AGI, grabs a silver sword, and immediately kills everything, takes all the loot, and level grinds STR/AGI/END/INT to 100 and becomes god before even leaving Balmora.
A good blend of Explorer, Role-player, Reader and Chill, as far as I'm concerned. Enjoyable video, anyway.

Geek. Playing with a notepad. Writing down every action to efficiently utilize 5-5-1 to max out ASAP. Doesn't use glitches.
Corrupted one. Makes Int+ pots. Has 200k+ Int. Maxes out without leaving Balmora by reducing own stats to 1 to get trainers to teach him for 10 coins per level.

Tester. He alone knows where he is now and what he pressed to get there. But it looks like the center of all polygons in 16D. Oh, look, he has equipped infinite daedric armors but still looks naked. Now he's carrying himself in his own inventory, huh...
Tom as the reader is oddly fitting, especially considering in Vivec there's a Khajiit librarian, love that place, could stay in there until I exhausted all the books of their knowledge
Im usually the "punch you first, ask later" guy, ngl i always play monk khajiit, and boy, its a fucking experience on skooma
Honestly I like going full enchanter. Just amp my equipment up, stock up on soul gems and Golden Saint souls, and just dick around with what I make. It's fun when you can just make tools for any situation. Like draining stamina and forcing your enemies to drown. Or inventing a better Icarian Flight. Just wish we could make more scrolls of it...
Thanks to this video I realized that there's a mod mixing KOTOR with Morrowind. Now I have to try it. You have my gratitude.
As a console Morrowinder; it ran alright on the og XBox, ran surprisingly well on the Xone and has really fast load times on the X|S. Morrowind absolutely sucked on the 360.
I'm multiple things: adventurer, reader, role-player and chill. I think that's what RPGs are about.
I managed to beat Morrowind first time on Xbox Series X. It was fun and at least I didn't have temptation to mod the shit out of it, like I usually do with Beth games. Going for OpenMW tho if I happen to play it again xP

coming back to this game fater many years decided to play though again with some graphics mods to improve look so far im noob, explorer, role player and mostly chiller
lol the cheater should be creating a potion to increase intelligence to create a stronger potion to increase intelligence etc. until you make potions that give +1,000,000,000 to any stat
lol played back in the day on xbox so yeah i literally was all of these except modder and cheater (no console menu for xbones) but i did totally break the custom spell crafting and turn a character, or few, into demigods (game would crash so much i used a broom pole to reset the power faster lol)
