@@laserbeam002 that you are unaware why this might be problematic is my point. Portraying happy slaves and the social structure of the time as normal perpetuate a dangerous myth.
Here we meet Mr. Scott "a man of modest means..." with an enormous tobacco plantation, a dozen slaves, and a big mansion.

These old films are very well done and quite interesting. Watching this,I received a genuine perspective of life back then.

Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia is my favorite place on earth. Haven't been able to visit since early '90s but still lives in my memory.
