    What a start to the game by Jerome Kersey! First he beasts Michael Jordan on his way to the basket and follows his own miss with an easy tip in, then strips His Airness and gets a wide open two handed dunk on the other end. A highlight of a career there at the beginning for Mr. Kersey. Unfortunately for him, it came in a game in which his hopes for a Championship were lost.

    my family moved to Portland in early 92...this was a huge fuckin deal here when i was a kid, there were blazer songs on the radio and blazer swag EVERYWHERE...92 blazer line up would DESTROY any team from the last 5 years, yes, even the laker dynasty of the early 00's

  • @VancouverChokers
    @VancouverChokers 13 лет назад +1

    Ironically enough, this game which marked the end of a great 3 year run for Portland was a microcosm of why the Blazers never cashed in a championship during their run. They had all the talent in the world and put it on display for the first three quarters, taking control of the game. But once you put a little heat on them, they'd play stupid. They'd make a stupid turnover or take a stupid shot. In short, they had more talent than Chicago but mentally they couldn't hack it.

    @royalsteven: There was no Bulls/Lakers rivalry back in the 90s. They played once in the Finals in 1991 and for the rest of the decade the Bulls won championships and the Lakers slowed down and werent revitalised until Kobe and Shaq were there.

Mostrou ser o melhor quando no Basquete preparo físico ja era fundamental. Para ele não havia adversário a altura e que tamanho não é documento no Basquete. @TheDirtball69 You're right, I forgot Shaq was there in 2004. You can still argue that in 2004 Shaq was the leader of that team. In that case, Kobe rode Shaq's coattails for a majority of his trips to the Finals. Granted he's won 2 out of his 3 trips as a leader.

    That'z true. I think the 1998 Pacers that took the Bulls to 7 games in the ECF that year were alot better than the squad that faced the Lakers in 2000. Iverson was taking 50 shots a night in the 01 finals and was still losing everybody else was just standing around.. In 02 they might as well have given the Lakers the title after they beat the Kings cause the Nets didn't show up at all.

    @dapunisher1000 @kakometal666 He was underrated because he wouldn't have even been in that position if it wasn't for MJ, whether people want to acknowledge this or not. Pippen was not consistent, and that is why he will be underrated. There were big games throughout Pippens career where he would get totally shut down by another teams defense, matchups, and just poor shooting and decision making. Jordan indeed made Pippen better, as well as the rest of his team mates.

  • @bigrob55412
    @bigrob55412 12 лет назад

    @Zeke4TV he is definately underrated, not by his basketball peers though. Every team that faced Pippen was like damn, Mike created a monster. Hell yeah Mike taught him but you still gotta have the skills. The only reason Pippen didnt win a championship without Mike is because he didnt have a sidekick. Jordan didnt win any rings without Pippen...Oh yeah Mike created a beast in Grant also...Thats what the great ones do

    Look at Pippen (in his 5th year in the league) posting up 6'7 Drexler and scoring very much needed buckets in the 4th qtr. Lebron James needs to be taking notes. If Lebron had actually developed a post game in any of his 8 seasons in the league the Mavericks wouldn't have dared put 6'3 Jason Kidd on him down the stretch of games. Instead they got away with it.

      Thomas Jowers I agree. they had cartwright, longley, kukoc and big horace in 94. they wouldn't have stopped hakeem but that would have been a deep enough frontcourt to contain him. another argument would be what if after 3 straight the bulls lost steam. rockets could have caught them off guard in 94 but hey who knows.

    its kinda sad, when you watch this video and you pick out plays where there was no call but now would be called a foul every time. for instance, when jordan smacked the ball away and dunked it after portland stole it. that would have possibly been a flagrant in the nba now.
