Even though i watched this live way back in 1992 i totally forgot about this comeback happening. The Bulls were a great team. This brings back great memories i had forgotten about. What a comeback.
I was living in a suburb of Atlanat, GA, when this gane was played. My dad and i watched it together. Ill never forget his and my reaction when Chicago made that 4th quarter comeback, it gives me goosebumps just listening to that crowd at the old Chicago Stadium. It wasn't called the "Madhouse on Madison" without reason. Such a great game, from a Bulls' fan's point of view. I imaginr that it isn't pleasant if you are a Portland fan, but I get that in my own way. And I think the 1992 Bulls don't get the love they deserve. This bench wad SO deep, which is a huge reason why they were so good. Williams, Hanson, Hodges, Armstrong, Levinson, Perdue, King, they could fit in at any time. What a team, my favorite single-season basketball team of all time.
That was a great team but they get lost in the shuffle since it wasn't MJs best squad. If 1996 didn't happen, we'd probably be looking back at 1992 as the best MJ Bulls team.
Chicago fan was cracking up at Hansen 😅 on a different year and sport, 'Haney' for the Bears almost mounted a playoff comeback against the Packers.... would have been actually rolling on the floor!!🤣
Meh, they still needed Jordan to close the series, he was their closer. Without him, this still might have ended up as a failed comeback and a narrow Blazers victory. That being said, Scottie was definitely a superstar during this era.
@@rayyymannn100 in his prime he was definitely a superstar, but yeah from 1987 to 1990 he was a role player, debateably a superstar during the 2nd threepeat.
Watch the comeback. It was a combination of Bad calls and the bench players not just Scottie. Also clyde and Kersey wereon the bench for parts of this run. Jordan came back on and finished them off. Blazers were still up 3 points when he came back in
If this happened in modern NBA, this would count against Jordan. I'm all in the Jordan GOAT camp but this would be counted against his legacy nowadays. Most people dont even know that Scottie saved this series, not Michael. Jordan came back in after the comeback and took every shot lol but that was Michael,.
It was a game 6 so there was still a potential game 7. and mj as always, was their closer again by making the late clutch free throws so how could this ever be against mj in today's nba?? Mind you, mj averaged like 36 points in this series efficiently.
Kevaughn95 because Scottie scored he saved Jordan? Pippen only averaged 22 points per game in the playoffs sooooooooo. Guess he carried Jordan to 50 point games?
Scottie Pippen facilities the bulls offense. In 4/6 finals he averaged over 20 points In the series clinching games 91 - 32 points 92 - 26 93 - 23 96 - 17 97 - 23 98 - 8 (hurt back) He was NO sidekick. Came up huge in those six championship runs.
Erik Hopkins what are talking about year 1991 32 points with scotty pippen!?!?!?!!??You get me really mad. You are deceiving yourself. Get the real facts not your own emotion and bitterness with MJ the goat than lebron. So mad!
Erik Hopkins no sidekick?go look at Jordans numbers dummy that’s 21 ppg for pippen.. that’s a sidekick dummy... and of pippen was the facilitator why did Jordan avg 11 assists in 91 finals? N drop 31 ppg? Shooting 56 percent n grabbing almost 7 rebounds.. pippen avg 21 9 6 asssits... that’s a side kick... a good one but a sidekick..go look at Kyrie n wades numbers in finals they won

3:48 I was a Blazer fan growing up & I was teased for months about how Hanson stepped off of the bench & sparked the comeback! 😂

The only video I’ve been able to find on this
Stacey King scoring from mid-distance...OMG
Oh - Tex Winter told Phil to BENCH MJ because he was holding the ball too long - MJ out - 14-2 run by Scottie and the bench and the rest is history
They didn’t put this in the last dance. Too busy making him look like a jerk
I always thought it was because they were just resting him for game 7. I thought they really were raising the white flag. I didn't know this. Thanks.
Oh! the Bulls bench saved MJ legacy... (I love MJ but that'd have been the story about this game nowadays).

Hansen played well.
MJ GREATEST OF All TIME 🏀🏀🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅
goat? Robert horry has more rings, (7) as did Bill Russell, (11) get a decent nba education... instead of following the crowds....
I wish person played on a team where he had two hof coaches and had a team good enough where the bench could go on a 14-2 run without him
Clyde was also on the bench for most of the comeback
I just 😂😂😂😂 when they said they can stop lebron 😂😂😂😂😂
Seriously PIP did so many things during that 14-2 run, had a steal a block and forced Drexler into a double dribble on 3 straight possessions
Man I wish there would've been game 7 so Jordan could've dropped like 45 in bulls win and only added to legacy as hands down greatest ever!
Bobby Hansen 🐐
He sat down for a few mins 🤣🤣🤣🤣 y’all do to much saved the series off ten mins was crazy 🤣
This title and the 1997 one were the most celebrated by the Bulls...why???
Because it was their first ones , the rest was like taking candy from a baby they were so used to winning
@@quwzada21 mmmm no, this was their second one.
@@sergegrone All of them were special, that's why!
This was the only time they won one in the old barn though
Jordan was superstitious enough to stay on the bench 😂
ARCADE NBA STEAL THE BALL BY ARCADE
Series wasn't over if bulls lost this game, plus Jordan had 33 points! Stop comparing LeBron to Jordan. No comparison!
Ur right Lebron is way better

Scottie saved this series and specifically the Knicks series the next year where Mike missed almost 100 shots in 6 games
@@Aalender How did he save this series when it would go to game 7 if they lost this game? MJ averaged like 35 this finals lol

This is just proof jordan was overrated he needed a great bench to help him here, big time.
