I've tried this but it still says "no fixture". They even have my exact fixture in the library already, but I can't get the library to show from 'fixture library' after right clicking. Whats the fix?

Hello David, great videos. I've just started looking into getting some of our own lighting for our 6 piece band and all the information you have provided in your videos have taught me so much. We are looking at controlling 16 devices on 1 universe for small to medium shows and are interested in using the DMXis and Show Buddy on a dedicated lighting laptop at FOH along side another laptop with our mixing software on it. The mixing laptop is connected wirelessly to a digital mixer on stage via a router (yes we do have another laptop on stage hardwired to the router just in case of a drop out).
So what we would like to know is, if we also connect the lighting laptop to the router on stage, can we have wireless control of the lights at FOH by just plugging the DMXis into the router with a USB to RJ45 adaptor or cable? Are there any additional things we need to get, like an OBE (???) or consider to make this work?
    Thank you in advance,
    Daniel from The Frosted Octopus

The bad news is that DMXis is now discontinued and being replaced - more on that here: ruclips.net/video/Bfw3GP1u0B0/видео.html
Now, either DMXis or EMU can send data out to an Art-Net node, such as the ODE. But, I would actually leave DMXis on stage, and just send your MIDI triggers wirelessly.
Hope that helps get you in the right direction - thanks!,

Depends on the software. They are all different in what they allow :)
