The Cowboys went 1-15 in 1989, then he arrived in 1990 and they started winning and then a new dynasty was born when they acquired new weapons (Irvin, Larry Allen, Charles Haley, etc). I will agree with most of what you are saying Chase. Emmitt was a good RB and did benefit off one of the greatest lines and had a great WR and Aikman just made a perfect fit for them at the QB position. Had a great TE and beast FB as well in Moose. Barry did have a HoF tackle in Lomas Brown and a decent All-Pro at Center with Kevin Glover. Scott Mitchell was mediocre at best at the QB position and they did have a great WR in Herman Moore. Cowboys had a better defense and coaching staff as well. Boys had Jimmy Johnson. Lion went through Bobby Ross and Wayne Fontes. Yea how do they stack up with JJ??? Point is though if Barry had that great O-Line, he still wouldn't take advantage of it. Emmitt was a N/S runner which is what those holes opened up for. Sanders was an elusive cut back who relied on his vision and agility. That worked out for him. He made the best out of nothing. Still managed to rack up 1,000+ yards every season and maintained 5ypc for a career. Emmitt cant say that. He averaged like 4.2ypc for his career and never ran for 1,000+ every year. That's exactly it. Jerry was great but was never that physical, he could take hard tackles all day but either an issue with him or with some of the fast timing routes his team used, when a corner could jam him hard coming off the line it would fuck his shit up. And Dieon, though known as a lackluster tackler, was actually very physical in coverage, but against Irvin that meant nothing because he loved being in physical scrums with defensive backs.

He sucks. He didn't get Dallas a super bowl. Give me a break. He wasnt even on the team the whole year. He actually harmed the cowboys organization much more than helped it.
I have a dream, that one day we would see my beloved Dallas Cowboys return to stella players and coaching like back in the day of Emmit, Mike, Troy, Maryland and the list could go on. And of course, coaching like Jimmy Johnson could only do. I usually would say "Go Cowboys". But instead, I'll say " Oh Cowboys".
I felt like the 49ers (my team) and the Cowboys fans had grown a respect for each other over the years as rivals and for being the only teams that mattered during the playoffs from '92-'94, the NFC title game aka "The real Super Bowl." My family is from Texas so all of my cousins are Dallas Cowboy fans. Hell even my mom pulled for them. So it's kinda disappointing hearing so many Cowboy fans making excuses for that '94 loss or using "would've could've should've" reasoning. Excuses could also be made for what happened in '95. No more Deion (on the Cowboys), no Ricky Watters, many departed players and an injured Steve Young...people laughed at us and said the Cowboys would smoke us in that '95 reg season game played in Dallas. Yet with Elvis Grbac and Derek Loville we pounded on Dallas. Maybe they lucked into not having to play us in those '95 playoffs eh? I dunno, but what I do know is excuses can be made both ways for various reasons but end of the day that rivalry was GREAT.

well this is the most foolish thing I will read all day. I would like to see you tell Tyron Smith or Jason Witten they are sissies. I would pay to see their reaction.
+Timmy Johnson I'll do it for free. And let me clarify. There are still some gladiators in the league, but they can't do what they do because of sissy rules. My bad, I should have made myself clear. Those two guys you mentioned are definitely gladiators.
Irvin always burned Dion. The 94 NFC championship game Irvin burned him and Sanders wasn't called for pass interference. He gets called for it and Dallas wins that game. The 49ers cheated the salary cap that year to build a super team just to beat the Cowboys. On a side note if Jimmy was coaching that year Cowboys win their 3rd super bowl in a row.
To explain, the day Jimmy Johnson left, the 28 years after and the future of the Cowboys will always end short of a Super Bowl as long as Jerry Jones is alive. Jimmy Johnson was the best thing that ever happened to Jerry Jones’s Dallas Cowboys. If it was up to Jerry they would have drafted Johnny Manziel.
Deion struggled vs big receivers. Irvin is a great example. Deion could not cover Julio Jones, Brandon Marshall, Megatron, Demaryius Thomas etc. He definitely played in the right era for his skill set.
The U had some great players go into the NFL! Michael Irvin 67 catches, 64 for first downs! Incredible! Russell Maryland 1 pick in draft, anchored one of the greatest defenses in NFL history! Those were the good old days!!
Agreed! 100% Let's not forget how the Buffalo Bills were steamrolling the AFC at this time with their "hurry up" offense which was new at the time. In just a few weeks Jimmy Johnson and Dave Wannstedt created a "hurry up" defense to match it. The rest is history.
And bc of this the generation after him didn't tackle either & I've always said it was bc of him bc the younger generation looked up to him and played like him!
wow that catch and run that Irvin got..Aikman put that EXACTLY right between the two eights ..HARD..Irvin just had to let it hit him , cover it and run ...good teams "in the zone" are so enjoyable to watch ...the 80's 49er's were also fun to watch ..i cheered for both during their respective runs....but when they played each other i favored Dallas..something that goes back to the 81 NFC championship game
They didn't trade from him-Jerry Jones paid him QB $ to get him away from the 9ers who destroyed them in 94. Sanders also got his revenge. Shut Mike down in both games they played that year. Jerry paid him not for his talent (Sanders was the best-ever)but to get him away from 9ers. Smart man, no way they would have ever beat the 9ers w/Prime, they struggled vs them without Prime (wins vs 9ers was mainly home town refs or 9ers beating themselves)
@@flossondatrack8861 Pffftttt-The score doesn't reflect the games especially the championship game-At half time they were up 3 scores than George came out in 2nd half and played not to lose-pretty much prevent whole 2nd half. 9ers dominated that whole game. I think Flipper Anderson once torched him for like 200 yards. Got caught looking twice and burned for long TDs on hitch and go routes, and Flipper was one of the only guys in the league he couldn't just quickly close the distance on if he got behind him. Kind of a fluke though cause I don't think Anderson ever had any other good games against him.
Rod Woodson is by far the best corner back in history and was a pretty good safety near the end of his career. With 17 years in the NFL, Woodson never had a season without an interception, and has the third most interceptions in history (71). He also has the second most interception return yards (1,483), and the most interception return touchdown, with 12. A Hall of Fame player, with 11 Pro Bowl appearances and a Super Bowl ring to top it off. Sanders was one of the best all around players and could do it all, but the best CB, no. Just one mans opinion.

I honestly think this Cowboys team could beat any team in history they had everything
Dallas didn't embarrassed Deion Sanders. Dallas embarrassed everyone they played vs because Dallas Cowboys is the best!
Stawnish83 ARE the best. ARE. Sorry, I had to. Singular IS. Plural ARE.👍🏼
@@TheGuitaronfire76 my first thought
the cowboys could be like this again if that piece shit owner would get the a real gm and head coach and stay the hell out of the way
oh he was embarrassed
They were the best in the early 90s a long long time ago... They are shit now!!!
Love your posts, Tim.
The day Deion knew he wanted to be a Cowboy
Embarrassed him in his house.
Never had respect for him because he was pulling Kevin Durant's back then joining great teams in SF and Dallas.
@@123slasher.16 how many times did those teams win after prime left them? Zero. He was literally the reason the 94 49rs and 95 cowboys won the chip
@@gbrown8523 stop it!
The 49ers were in contention just about every year but Steve Young didn't do much in the big games
The Cowboys were 2 time champs when he joined them, lost in the NFC title game and won just one with him.
Atlanta didn't win jack with him.
He was a frontrunner joining already powerful teams, AKA Kevin Durant
He was in the NFC West, COULDN'T beat the 49ers, so he joined them like Durant did

Then he runs to stacked teams to make himself look great.
The NFL 1990 version of Kevin Durant.
my favorite player but GREAT VIDEO A+
GO COWBOYS!!! Fan until the day I die. Those were some great years.
Cowboys 4life I feel u
This Era was when I fell in love with the cowboys..!!!
I watched Deion return a Cowboys punt in the stands down my sideline on Monday Night Football in Philly for like 60 yards and he highstepped 30+.
As a Cowboy fan... WTF? He got us a SB and he brought prime time to Dallas.
He sucks. He didn't get Dallas a super bowl. Give me a break. He wasnt even on the team the whole year. He actually harmed the cowboys organization much more than helped it.
they're crazy. I would call Deion the GOAT.
Michael Irvin - Deion one of the best matchups ever. I think they meant "Dallas caught some passes against Deion."
nope. they targeted him and made him look foolish. thats why like the baby he was and is he threw a fit.
Aspis Gaming destroyed?? Lmao nah
Now we have Freemason Football and everything is preplanned but at least the highlights are entertaining to watch.
Our COWBOYS. Go Be Great Like NO Others Lets Shine Mighty BOYS
And people think this bum Deion could cover AB
I have a dream, that one day we would see my beloved Dallas Cowboys return to stella players and coaching like back in the day of Emmit, Mike, Troy, Maryland and the list could go on. And of course, coaching like Jimmy Johnson could only do. I usually would say "Go Cowboys". But instead, I'll say " Oh Cowboys".
A lot of thanks Herschel walker trade
It's interesting to hear the difference in Michaels voice after 30 years
Best coach we had since Tom Landry
In some cases Johnson was better.
Great video footage of Keith Olberman!!
SF had no chance in the '95 playoffs. Dallas OWNED SF from '92 through '95, no question. Officiating made SF win the '94 NFC game and nothing else. Stop your whining, it doesn't look good on a grown man.
The shoulder pads where so big how did they catch anything lol

Now these were football players. Not like the sissies playing today.
Sissies? You think nfl players are sissies?
+Timmy Johnson A lot of them are, absolutely. But it's not entirely their fault. The rules have changed so much, it's like you get penalized for being physical. Someone like LT would be getting fined and suspended every week......
well this is the most foolish thing I will read all day.
I don't think Deion Coach Prime knows about this youtube video
Irvin always burned Dion. The 94 NFC championship game Irvin burned him and Sanders wasn't called for pass interference. He gets called for it and Dallas wins that game.
The 49ers cheated the salary cap that year to build a super team just to beat the Cowboys.
On a side note if Jimmy was coaching that year Cowboys win their 3rd super bowl in a row.
BS. Niners were better. Jerry Jones saw to that.
Irvin.
I totally agree
A niner fan agreeing with you
To explain, the day Jimmy Johnson left, the 28 years after and the future of the Cowboys will always end short of a Super Bowl as long as Jerry Jones is alive. Jimmy Johnson was the best thing that ever happened to Jerry Jones’s Dallas Cowboys. If it was up to Jerry they would have drafted Johnny Manziel.
“Primetime” was always overrated big mouth player and coach ! Glad he’s getting his butt handed to him now !! He’s no coach
Deion struggled vs big receivers.
Irvin is a great example.
Deion could not cover Julio Jones, Brandon Marshall, Megatron, Demaryius Thomas etc. He definitely played in the right era for his skill set.

Too funny!!
Dion couldn't tackle my grandmother
And bc of this the generation after him didn't tackle either & I've always said it was bc of him bc the younger generation looked up to him and played like him!
Erick Meier cause hes black
Erick Meier u right he would hit stick her

Actually, Deion was a good tackler....he just chose not to. Check the tape, see how many tackles he missed.
Boi stop! Deion helped them & San Fran win a chip! U reaching posting this !!!!
More importantly he dropped that too lmao
wow that catch and run that Irvin got..Aikman put that EXACTLY right between the two eights ..HARD..Irvin just had to let it hit him , cover it and run ...good teams "in the zone" are so enjoyable to watch ...the 80's 49er's were also fun to watch ..i cheered for both during their respective runs....but when they played each other i favored Dallas..something that goes back to the 81 NFC championship game
Embarrassed him so much, they traded for him.
They didn’t trade for him.
No they didn't

About to be Super Bowl Champions, the Redskins were The Defending Champs at that time.
mixumup1 It WAS! I didn't know someone had footage of this game. Brings back memories because it WAS such a bad game by Deion. I've always lived in the Atlanta-Metro area. This game was such a big deal. Every one talked about this. This was also one of the FEW home games shown locally, each year.
Was in Vegas for this game, won 500$ knew that Dallas's running game would destroy Atlanta.

Absolutely. Deion tackled like my grandmother
Rod Woodson is by far the best corner back in history and was a pretty good
safety near the end of his career. With 17 years in the NFL, Woodson
never had a season without an interception, and has the third most
interceptions in history (71). He also has the second most interception
return yards (1,483), and the most interception return touchdown, with
12. A Hall of Fame player, with 11 Pro Bowl appearances and a Super Bowl
ring to top it off. Sanders was one of the best all around players and could do it all, but the best CB, no. Just one mans opinion.
