    Emmitt had a great body for the position. He was strong from head to toe, durable, elusive, finished runs, took care of the ball, and was above all, a winner.

      Ezekiel Elliott needs to watch the video's of Emmett Smith and be inspired to be better, commit to being better, Emmett Smith kept his mind, body and spirit in football year-round, rather Zeke getting in trouble fighting in night clubs, smoking marijuana on social media and all that other negative bullshit he does, and just be inspired by Emmett, although it may be to late because he's been on the hot seat in Dallas for the last 3years.

    OMG it rained sooomuch this day. However I lucked out. I was literally in the LAST ROW in the stadium LOL. Other than taking photos during pregame I did not get wet at all since the little white roof of the Vet kept me dry all game long. . I was in the left corner of the end zone where Emmitt finished his long run. It was a GREAT weekend. The night before I was at the Cowboys team hotel in Cherry Hill, NJ I met 7 players (too long to list) and got my photo taken with Jerry. After the game I met Derrick Lassic, Harper, Norton, Gogan, Kevin Williams, Darrin Smith...it was a GREAT Cowboys weekend all around.

    As a life long fan of the Dallas Cowboys since 1970, the Philadelphia Eagles defense has always been tough. Even through the 70s, Dallas may have won most of the games, but even here, Philadelphia has always been a tough team. They finally joined the ranks of Champs by beating Tom Brady's Patriots. It's about damn time. All of the NFC East teams have Super Bowl wins.

    I wish pro football would go back to this style of football. Hard, fast, aggressive, hard hitting and physical each play. U just dont see as much intensity on the field like u use to back in the early 2000s, 90s, 80s and 70s. I always like watching the nfc east rivalry games,these were the good ole days.

    I don’t care how great Dallas was: going into the vet and beating those early 90’s Eagle’s teams was no small feat. I was about 15 at the time, living in Dallas, and I thought they couldn’t possibly be beat pretty much every single week. Now as a man in my 40’s, I can appreciate how impressive a road win like this was. Those eagles were no joke.

      The Cowboys have lost 13 games by 27 or more points since 2000, and more than half of them - seven of the 13 - have been against the Eagles. The Eagles have beaten the Cowboys by 27, 27, 28, 28, 31, 33 and 38 points since 2000. No other team has more than one win by 27 or more points against the Cowboys during the same period.

    I too, like many on here, was at this game......a friend of mine was a cameraman for NJN (New Jersey Network), I got to be on the field, in the locker rooms, and interview (with all the pool reporters) Aikman.....being a life long fan (think Meredith, Perkins, Hayes, Lily, et.al.) of the Pokes, and living in Philly was a dangerous profession...I took more shit than an interstate rest stop (from H.S., then college Egggles fans)......I generally got the last laugh, just by watching the games, not making a fuss about the outcome, etc.....but this game was incredible, as all Cowboy fans know......still have a great shot of me Aikman, and other "reporters" hanging in my den.....great stuff. Unfortunately, nowadays, I can no longer watch professional sports, especially baseball, and football. When they went woke, I just went.....haven't seen a game since St. George Floyd, the martyr killed himself.....remember, if you don't stand for something, you fall for everything.....cheers!!

    People complain about the turf at the Vet, but back then the players were heavily padded. Knee pads, thigh pads, shoulder pads, elbow pads, etc. They wore high top cleats that offered ankle support. Being named to the All Madden team was a bigger honor than the Pro Bowl.

    • @Clarence2Worley
      @Clarence2Worley 4 года назад

      I don't. Elliot is good but he doesnt break many long runs and that's what it takes to get 250+. He'll be a solid back for us and pick up hard yards but I'd be shocked if he ever runs for 180 unless he slims down and experiences a renaissance.

      Exactly, Nantz and Cross did the Stanford/Penn State Blockbuster Bowl the previous year but this year Lundquist was switched with them doing the Vikings/Redskins game on New Years Eve.
      The next year, CBS, without the NFL, had a pretty tasty Sun afternoon NCAAB matchup (they had a few NBA telecasts during the '82 strike) with Georgetown (freshman Iverson) vs defending champ Arkansas in Memphis. Perhaps the end-of-season promotion of Nantz was a test run

      Dallas fan from that era. Smith was really good, but Sanders was better. Look at avg yards per carry. Almost a full yard.. Statisically significant amount.. Consider that Dallas didn't simply have a better line. They had the best line I've ever seen (not best scheme, but still). Watch 95 nfc vs GB championship game. I had to watch it again when I got older. You won't be able to say Smith is better. He's untouched by a wide margin several runs for the 1st 5 yards up the middle. This enabled him to play longer, as he was tackled mostly by guys in secondary.
