- Leica very kindly sent me the M10-R to test for a few weeks and I wanted to see what it could do in the range of situations that I would shoot in.

Bro is out here making a whole Netflix documentary on RUclips. Killed it as always homie.
😂😂
try to watch mine too if you have the chance: ruclips.net/video/YYTCCjrXF-Y/видео.html Thanks
Or "Leica, everything you need in a camera". I think most want everything they can get, but really don't need or ever use... Great video...
That double Leica flex at 1:57 tho...
Gorgeous. You push me to do more pictures, to discover and to look things differently. Thank you for your work.
Appreciate your kind words!
Like your photographs, like your video, this vedio makes me feel like watching the film" Manchester by the sea".. . The music, the color, the speed you talk...
I've been loving taking photos recently but enjoying far less seeing others' photos. Your video feels like a cure for that. I feel such a desire to get back out from seeing not only your photos, but a little of the process behind capturing them. Thank you.
So glad you enjoyed it. I don’t think there is anything wrong with removing the visual stimulation we are inundated with. But sometimes it’s great to see others out there doing it too!
This was really wonderfully done. I wish there was more Leica content like this. I appreciate you making it
Having worked the M10 for more than a year now, I recently added an M3 to my gear and had the similar experience, as you described: Everything in the same and exactly right place. Very familiar look and feel. I instantly felt at home with my "new" 69 year old camera. The viewfinder isn't as bright and contrasty as that of the M10, but that is the most significant thing I had to get adjusted to. There again, the quality that comes out the two is just great. My only regret is that I didn't shoot M before back in the analog days ;-)
That smile at 0:30 was perfect, oh my.
These are some of the best shots I've ever seen in a RUclips video. You're truly underrated Jack!
Nice work! Kindly make a video about the M11🙏
👀
Fantastic Video. I never got Leica until I became a owner, then I realised how special the whole package is. Subscribed.
Wonderful content. Thank you for a very enjoyable video.
Shutter has a nice sound to it. Great work on the sound for the video as well man. Enjoyed a lot of Lawrence’s shots; they were well done and nicely graded.
The JMxLMT dream team!
Comin in hot!!
Remarkable how they are able to put a 50MP sensor in a body design from 1950. 😮 Wonderful video. Your style improved so much since your first videos and I really love the postprocessing of your shots.
I know it’s amazing when you think about it, how true to themselves Leica have managed to stay... even still producing new Film cameras 😍
Thanks for the kind words, these style of videos have always been what I have wanted to do it’s not always achievable - but I appreciate it!
@@PhotoCinematica This is also the content i like the most. so when you release your next video I'll definitely be back!
Your photo is very beautiful. It was very helpful. I also have a LEICA Q2. I always carry this camera with me to take pictures of my daily life.
I don't need it, I don't need it........ I NEEEEEED IT
What a nice job man. I'm a huge fan.
Cheers Ben 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I always love watching your work!
Cheers Dominic!!!
dudeeee i got goosebumps since the very first second! you could literally make a one hour video and i'll gladly watch the whole video, no skip😂
Always make me want to go out and take photos when I watch your vids
Beautiful filmmaking and images as always! I love the photo of the balloons at 4:42 I'd be interested to try the M10-R as well if @Leica wants to let me try one hahaha
Great images and great videographer too. Thanks
Absolutely gorgeous
I got M6 and M10r. Only downside of m10r is shutterspeed dial going in different direction.
Yeah I hear ya. A little adjustment period for sure
That establishing shot!
(Been wainting for this since you shared pictures on IG. going back to the video)
Incredible visuals man, may just have to watch this one twice haha
Haha I dare you!
First time seeing a video by you and this was amazingly done. Awesome work!
Thus was nice it was awesome
Beautiful shots and content. 👍
Wow, super well-done!!
sir. its me again. haha .as a loyal fan, im still waiting on your review of the yashica FX3 with Zeiss Pancake lens.. the infamous poormans leica. thanks as always
Killer work, great shots
this is just too good! love the video man
btw. i think my new dream camera is a m10-r
Me too!
Awesome video
That was lovely :)
Damn this is so well done, good job❤️
Nice theme VDO
Thanks for the video. I agree with your sentiment about going between the M10-R and the M6. I have the Leica M10, a M6 Classic and a M4, and it feels so natural shooting them one after the next.
I usually have my M10 on ISO 200, my M6 loaded with Portra 400 metering at ISO 200 and my M4 with HP5 Plus 400 metering at ISO 200. This makes it even more natural.
Thanks for sharing.
Ah that sounds like a killer line up! Especially with the consistent metering. ✌🏼
Can you tell how similar / different the M6 is from the M4 (besides the light meter)? I have an M4 but curious about experiencing an M6
@@gilang6710 Almost no difference really. Sometimes I think the M4 is better built, but that's just based on feel and not any facts that I know of. So it might just be in my head.
Also, I much prefer the single frame lines of the M4 over the M6. However, I do wish the M4 had 28mm frame lines.
@@roryjacobs6817 ah i see. Thanks man for the explanation. Now i got a clearer picture, hope i can try it soon
Beautiful !!
I know this is quite an awkward page to comment from lol ... I'm soon gonna start a youtube page for creative stuff (: . let me follow you on Instagram ! lets connect there for now.
@taimourkalson ! just followed you.
Lovely video 🍻
Nice shots. The Leica M10R is a great camera, but a bit over my budget. I stick to my trusty M240 with the LUX 50.
I haven’t used that 50 but I bet that setup is magical
Worth the wait. Great video :D
I’m glad haha 😁
Oh yeah.... the camera's pretty neat too, one day.... maybe.
Need a photocinematica X Willem Verbeeck X Joe Greer X Vuhlandes collab!!
This is very asmr ~
Wow this was maybe your best video yet! Do you have a page where you share some of your personal work? I love your photography and would love to browse!
@jackamunsch ✌🏼✌🏼
hey heyyy
I Just discovered your channel and love your work! do you use any Leica digital m Cameras of your own. I saw your review of m11 and now this m10R but I'm curious to know if you only shoot the m6 or have any digital M cameras yourself. Im dying to get an M11P
Hey, thanks so much for the kind words. I don’t have an M of my own at the moment but would love to one day. At the moment I’m toying with the Fuji x-Pros or maybe the x1006 👀
Nice work mate, I'll give you a sub for that :-). I don't often enjoy the "music" some (most) youtubers dump on their videos but that worked well I think. Nice mood.
Music is VERY important to me so I appreciate that!
lovely
Nice review. I hope you can do some more reviews of cameras, lenses, films, etc. I also liked the editing you have. If you haven't yet seen them, there's a guy who makes these presets called the Classic Presets where he has looks that resemble all kinds of film, including cinema stocks. They're the most accurate I've seen.
I'm also curious what you'd think of the Fuji X-Pro3 vs the Leica M10-R. The X-Pro3 is my main camera and has prevented me from lusting after Leicas.
Well I haven’t personally used the Xpro3 but I had the X100F for a time and that camera is the closest Leica experience I’ve had so I imagine the Xpro wouldn’t be far from it. I loved the film simulations which is a major draw for me.
Thanks for watching!!
I really enjoyed this, thank you. The pace was just right and the footage was lovely. Was most of the footage shot on the Komodo?
Ah thanks so much! Yes it was!
@@PhotoCinematicaI haven’t seen a huge amount of RUclips Komodo footage I have really liked but the look is nicely handled in this piece.
Great work! What lens did you use on the m10-r? Thanks
Hey! I had the 28mm and 35mm Summicron - also borrowed
nice
Mate these videos are absolutely mint! What do you shoot them on?
You forgot to thank SONY for the sensor ;)
You said you would upload this week & you didn't disappoint! Was it intentional to only show one day's work with the camera even though you had it for a few weeks?
Yes I wanted to use it for a few weeks before I started making a video about it 👍🏼
Ahhh... That seems so simple but, it makes so much sense that the weeks leading up to the video are used for preparation. That's why it always turns out so good.
After years of shooting with a classic M6, I began shooting with an M10.
Now, I am considering replacing my M10 with an M10-R.
not needing big dslr or mirrorless... *wears humongous backpack. things people holding leica camera say lol. just teasing.
great video... m10-r sensor is the first time i feel like leica is where it needs to be. it took 2 leica q to get there ')
The backpack was full of spare batteries 😂
Beautiful pictures! Does taking the camera alongside the ocean like that hurt it at all with the salt in the air, etc?
Hey! I think it were to effect it at all it would be the lens but you would have to be there all the time. These cameras are very well built so I can’t imagine they would be damaged easily. But I don’t know for sure 👍🏼
What’s your experience with shooting the M10-R in low light?
I didn’t shoot a lot in low light but from what I did a rennet it handled it well and I was able to push things after. I like to add grain to my images anyway so it’s not a deal breaker for me 👍🏼
Leica always looks a little too brownish green to me, like every photo is through the windshield of a car. I'm not a fan of green tinted warm tone myself, but it is very forgiving so you can just get on with photography. I suppose you can always switch to monochrome too.
Люблю Леечки ,никогда ни в чем мне не отказывала в своем цвете .
Incredible images!
素晴らしい。美しい。
Why did you use a Komodo AND a bmpcc ?
The Komodo is Lawrence's - The BM is mine
Leica, like Rolex, make an excellent product... and just like Rolex, they are way over priced. Both are thankful for fan-boys.
Word.
Just 7k for the body, and ?
All of these were shot on 35 cron? Or also 28?
There are captions under some of the images with the lens choice, anything after that was shot with that lens until the next caption. But mostly 35, just some at the beginning we’re 28
Dude
You are so handsome, it's distracting!
no homo tho
Your opening statement about the leica could be said about a fujifilm or pretty much any other mirrorless....lol
Thanks for the video. Some friendly advice, stop chimping (trust that its there), and don't change glass in the field. Just my opinions, i'm not being mean. I appreciate you sharing.
Great photos etc but dreadful music, needed to turn the sound off
