I don't think that Indian Govt. would spend much money on Space exploration. I am sure even ISRO was given minimal budget to conduct this space mission. They did whatever they could do with pride and integrity and were successful. Respect!!
Indian government increased its budget for isro last year but currently due to the increase in defense budget they cannot expand any further in isro's budget and isro has many big test following the prototype of unmanned reentry vehicle and other planetary satellite missions so the budget is tight for now
Maybe isro should seek public funding ! Like asking colleges to ask their students if they all are willing to donate a few hundred rupees in the name of science

yeah! that's correct! the weight of RTGs are heavier, so possible to fit in the rover. And on top that, ISRO managed to fulfil the objectives which they have stated. So, long story short, although ISRO has to attain a lot, but this mission is DEFINTELY not a failure and will provide lot of reference points to other space missions.

Chandrayaan 3 reactivation was not planned by ISRO beforehand and took decision therefore they were not sure if the mission would reactivate. Thus, it's not a failure

bruh it never failed its expected lifetime was 1 week and it did complete that. it is obvious that it cant survive lunar night since its instruments arent designed occordingly . Isro was only trying to connect it as if by slightest chance it survives then that would be an advantage

I read one article, that temp will go upto -200 degrees when sunlight is not there on the moon. This project was made for 14 days only. ISRO team was hopeful that Chandrayaan 3 may turn on but they never ever said that it will operate again.

Just an addition, the RTG talked in this video is extremely costly, and since the mission was budgeted at only 75 million dollars RTG'S are expensive and made at around 109 million dollars.
The mission could ever only last for just a lunar day.

Bro India entire budget of mission was 75million dollars...Device used by Chinas rover to survive lunar night used plutonium238 as fuel to generate constant heat which alone costs 8million dollar per Kg.....
India was cost efficient and succeeded mission in less than half the cost of Chinas Mission.....

they found several core gases in the atmosphere + a major findings was that the temperatures after a certain depth decreased rapidly, indicating presence of frozen water beneath the surface. Also, the temperature of the atmosphere was also recorded
Man I expect more from you. As far as I read, this was an extended test and design was not made to withstand night on moon surface
It's high time that India partners with France to learn to recycle nuclear waste through which they can recover substantial amounts of uranium for electricity and plutonium for such experiments.
Chandrayan 3 landed 319 km. away from South Pole. For a small planet like moon the distance is substantial and landing spot can't be termed as "South pole" or even near about.
Btw, even Russian Luna 25 (which unfortunately crashed) had that radio isotope aided heater fitted to its Rover. It appears to be a standard fitment and ISRO missed it due to oversight.
