Agni V 24Mach speed is when it enters terminal phase and it's not faster than hypersonic missile..however in recent test it was tested with lifted trajectory which appeared to be more of hypersonic flight envelop.

I think the title should be why China SHOULD BE scared rather than is scared. Cause we don't know whether they're scared or not and assuming and even knowing so would make us way more comfortable to be ready for upcoming threats
I have seen many Chinese people's opinion about India and they don't even see us as a threat rather a big market for business and don't care about India like we care about china(they barely cover news related to India so definitely they aren't scared from us in any ways) . But their government sure keeps an eye on every activity we are doing.

24 mach speed is when the missile is in terminal phase but the normal speed of agni 5 is 2-3 mach that's why we call it ballistic missile not hyper sonic.

With all due respect, you have mentioned incorrectly that Agni 5 has speed of 20x speed of sound. If that was the case, then my God almost whole world would have gone crazy because India has something 5 times better than the hypersonic missile.
An ICBM has various phases, Boost phase, Mid phase, Re-entry phase and then Terminal phase. In terminal phase, it re-enters earth atmosphere. Also, in the terminal phase Earth's gravity also comes to play. So yes, Agni 5 can achive Mach 24 but it is only in terminal phase and not from the time of launch it achieves Mach 24.
