Didn’t Klopp fall off a cliff last season? We haven’t forgotten about that. Not to mention Slot getting more out of the current team than him….. LP fans are funny people 🫡
Rodri's injury gave the team an excuse to slack off... Back in 2015/16, Chelsea players used Jose's fallout with the physio as an excuse to slack off for a season... That Chelsea team went from 1st to 10th, then back to 1st.

It used to be a great trait from football managers to come up with a plan B,C D and E when there are injuries, suspensions or even playing against teams with different tactics. This 10 game rut has shown how flawed Pep Guardiola is as a manager in terms of being the greatest manager ever. Being stubborn by playing one style can only get your so far, but it is praised to the heavens in modern day, from Vincent Kompany to Russell Martin. When you have 1 win in 10 games, even if you've won quadruples and the like, you need to adapt to different styles of play, attacking and defensive wise. This goes to show money really can win you so much until your prized assets can't play and it all crumbles, bit by bit.
The person who sent message is clueless lol...Pep rebuilt barca, moving out the partying Brazilians and making space, then promoting and playing the youngsters, Messi, xavi, Iniesta etc...people really should read graham hunters book, Barca, the making of the greatest team in the world
xavi was 28 and iniesta was 24 when pep took over barcelona, both were world class talents, pep doesn't have a messi to bring up through to the first team, he'd have to buy one, cause foden doesn't seem to fit the bill apparently. Not saying pep's not capable of a rebuild but it's certainly a unique challenge particularly when it comes to that aging midfield.
I’m a Liverpool fan and it’s inaccurate to say Pep hasn’t rebuilt a team at City. He phased out Fernandino, David Silva, Kompany, and Aguero, all massively key players and constructed another team
Simon confidently saying City will go through and win their knockout game us peak delusion. Does he have a magic ball or something? A team that has won 1 game in the last 10 doesn’t make one make such outrageous statements
City players are finally getting exposed.. They aren't good enough at all.. Pep's system has been protecting them for years.. They're lacking individual game changers and individual abilities in their team besides KDB whom it's evident to say his legs are gone ..Pep needs some young world beaters in his team and stop buying decent players just to fit his system
are you like 12 or younger cause these players are good enough, the issue is definitely more than we can understand, bt it isn't due to them not being good enough.
First, if the idea of being sacked is for real, he is nowhere near SAF. Never was but people like to think so. Imagine after his achievements there would be talk of sacking him? Never. Only the plastic of all plastic clubs would ever do such a thing. Such a big humble club.
A bit of bad form and people are taking huge satisfaction with it. 4 leagues in a row, never done before in the Premier League and the treble achieved - no manager in the country comes close.
To all those Pep haters and their hilarious narratives *"Pep needs best players to win"* Absolute joke! Tell me any world class player in City's team besides KDB, Haaland and Rodri (who's injured) .. Any sane Pep hater should list a single world beater in Pep's team besides those 3 😂🤡
I’m not a pep hater but foden, silva, walker, Dias, ederson, gundogan, david silva, sterling, aguero, toure have all been world class at certain points under pep, your argument is invalid
@@Littlefella73 the only world class players are David Silva and Aguero..None of those you mentioned are world class..What football do you watch?? Foden, Walker, Gundo and Dias?? 😂😂😂 You must be having a laugh..Ave rage system players..You clearly don't understand football
City are not in crisis. They're finished for the season. The opposition have all started to play the same way against City. Park the bus, anticipate that City want to squeeze someone through after passing it endlessly around. The opposition just need attention to the defensive wall structure and patience. Patience for the right time to counter. Since the City attack is all based on penetrating that wall, that must be what the City defenders mimic during their practices. They don't practice how to defend against counters because that's not what their attackers employ. So the City defenders are caught flat-footed and scramble to try and somehow stop the counters that they are not used to. It's a formula that the opposition have now adopted successfully. It certainly doesn't help that their defensive crew have been depleted and some are starting to feel the effects of age. A perfect storm. For now, City have to shake up the opposition by parking the bus themselves and going for the counter. That's not what the opposition would be expecting and they'll eventually open up.
City didn't play well yesterday - didn't create enough hence the XG was similar to Juventus and were very open when Juventus decided to attack so let's stop this protect City agenda. They've been poor in all but one of their last 10 games
I think this all started when drawing at home to Arsenal who had 10 men. They didn't show any skill in breaking their defence, until the very end and got a draw against a resolute Arsenal team. It would seem if teams dont roll over then City's defence may/will let them down and the lack of domination affects their mentality. If they concede goals which in the past they wouldnt. The message is clear attack City and you have a good chance, sit back and they will thrash you. Once they weed out their non performers they will return to their successful playing style. West Ham supporter, we should be lucky enough to have their problems :-)
Love Pep, but given his comments post match Juve along with his continued refusal to adapt his tactics, especially defensively which everyone can see needs attention asap, he seems more and more to be the most stubbornness intractable manager ever or has completely lost the plot. Praying it’s the former and he eventually changes to the Pep of the treble season who was so adaptive & pragmatic
On paper this is probably Peps weakest squad for a long time a city! Need to spend big on the best players in the world again, if f.f.p allows them too. They've missed out on M'bappe & Bellingham in recent times. Can't miss out on many more !
Liverpool will slow down, and at some point city could easily put together 10 wins in a row, I just struggle to write off the best team in prem history with a measly 8 point gap from the top, they will come, honestly I think by matchday 28 city will be favourites for the title
@ well that and the fact they’ve come back from gaps like this before, to be honest Liverpool have won 1 title in 35 years and city have won 6 in 7 years so history is kinda on my side, 8 point gap with 23 games to play ? Squeaky bum time for the reds until it’s a cert
Well, thats the thing, City have NOT had a run like this in decades. Especially as defending Champions. This is not like their regular pre Christmas slump, not even close.
@Littlefella73 you forget we have a game in hand all so where are you on the champions league and where are Liverpool or city tears are so good 2...0. against you at Anfield
Arsenal fans getting a bit too excited. You’ve one a tin cup in what, 10 years? And now Liverpool will win the league…. You can’t even finish 2nd in a two horse race

I understand Man City have alot of injuries, but Peps changed his defence and goalkeeper pretty much every game in thier recent bad form.
both liverpool and arsenal have injuries as well. surely pep with all his experience should not be struggling this much.

Simon is 100% right that City are losing trying to win games. Haaland not converting chances is costing the team dearly
I'm telling u. Any team with a midfield of Gundogan and Lewis would be in a relegation fight
I saw Gundogan running back, and he looked as fast as me.
