I hate the idea of a 48 team world cup.
    32 was fine.
1 country hosting the world cup was fine but look at the next 2.

All it does is that it helps everyone have a part in hosting, it's the WORLD CUP, it potentially involves all 195 countries in the World.
To have just 48 participate in it, which is just a quarter of all the countries makes sense.

I worked in KSA for 5 years. The people were warm and friendly (those that I met) and the country welcoming to foreigners. One of the strengths in KSA is marketing, they are wonderful at it. The weakness, however, is the stamina and know how to complete some of their projects. In my mind the stadium will never be built and Neom will not work out. It’s a shame for the Saudi people whom deserve more than these facade mega projects. Other problem for WC 2034 is the country is dry (alcohol) and changing that may be difficult even for the WC.

The FIFA World Cup is all about the "FIFA family" making money from building stadiums that will never be used again once the tournament is over and also building the infrastructure as in hotels, roads, railways and even airports to facilitate the tournament. England have ready made stadiums and infrastructure in place so the notion we will ever have a chance of hosting the World Cup again is ridiculous. I mean come on let's face it hosting the world cup in a country where the highest attendance at elite football matches is less than 10,000 is a much better idea than hosting it in a country that will sell out 60/70/80,000 seater stadiums for every game, it makes real sense doesn't it?!!

Israel has hosted previous Youth FIFA or UEFA tournaments. They have also been chosen to host the Under 19 UEFA Championship. This is a country where its leader and defence minister have been charged by the International Criminal Court. This is a country that under United Nations, Amnesty and Human Rights watch have an apartheid state and apartheid laws. Yet where is the controversy when it comes to Israel hosting these tournaments? Not one mention from the media.
