Welcome back to our sailing adventures in Seychelles, where the female energy on the sailboat has just doubled, thanks to the arrival of Hannah, fresh off the plane from Canada, and she is fitting in nicely. Hannah is an active and easy house guest, throwing herself into boat work to keep our floating home moving forward. The two teens, Canada meets Kiwi, are having a blast, getting to know each other. Could this be the start of something?

Good to see Ivan has some teenage company again. Rob had a successful boat job! I was expecting to see those bearings bouncing down the deck 😅
I saw a couple roll away from the old one.
A great result. There was a mighty holding of breath as the new traveller slid into place. And whose counting the couple of bearings that escaped from the old traveller?😊
Hannah is funny! She can stay.
I’m always a little jealous of the Canadians, and their easy access to Maple Syrup. Few things as enjoyable as a hot freshly made waffle with Maple Syrup.

Top episode Rachel! Sad day to be an Aussie watching that clown make a fool of us. Bet he felt like a hero back at the office 🤦. Ahh Rob, the smile on your face when something actually ‘just works’ was priceless- a rare event on a boat… since everything else on the boat has a name I’m looking forward to the traveller being christened 😊 (maybe Maple because of it’s origin 😂)

Hannah is such fun. We are all enjoying her company. Her presence has certainly made Ivans life a more exciting now that Declans gone.
And likewise, after years of being homeschooling, Declan is enjoying being in a classroom with other like-minded people.

Good to hear from Declan! Was good to hear about his studies.
Although I stand by my earlier creations, I may have painted Rob in a less than capable light. He is very capable, it's just that misfortune (or possible lack of planning) often follows where he doth tread.

Good idea to include a report (including that wooden mic, haha) from Australia, happy to hear Declan is doing great between the wild life such as lovely kangaroos and new studies. Sounds great that course! For sure you'll be better ranger than those who stopped you.

Having Hannah aboard has certainly given Ivan a new lease of life.
We have loved meeting the giant tortoises they don't do much, but they do seem to like a tickle under their chin.
Not that we haven't seen Rob install things without issues, or have we🤪 why was I just sitting, waiting for all those balls on the traveler to go everywhere? 🤣🤣Interesting story on the rowers. Welcome Hannah 🐳
Hmmm maybe this is a first. Or maybe it's just boring to fix stuff without mishap and Rachel leaves it on the cutting room floor. I reckon that's the most likely scenario and I'm sticking with that story😉🙂

I'd say that at 13:09 you had one ball bearing escape into the hatch recess --- probably no detriment to function.
Yes, a couple of ball bearings escaped. In reality, they possibly need replacing, but that's a job for another day.
her first snorkel in the sea?!?!
If you look at the map of Canada and note how huge it is and how many lakes there are that will in part answer your question. Plus when you understand the temperature of our coastal waters, you will further understand why she has not snorkeled in the ocean before. It requires wet suits in most areas to remain in the water for more than a short period of time. Scuba diving is more common than snorkeling.
Hannah's summers have been spent sailing and swimming in the Canadian lakes. She informs me that Canadian lake water is much colder than Seychelles Ocean.😊

i did not make it to the races. i asked a friend to get in touch with Finn but i fear he was unable to make contact. Apparently there was much bustle in the region.
It was a very large event as in Olympic years, they amalgamate the Under 19, Under 23, and elite world championships. Many athletes, coaches, and fans all under one roof.
Good morning from down here. So boy meets girl. Girl meets boy. Thank goodness they both walked barefoot. Similar personalities. What do we think.? Perfect formula.?
