Lol - now i had to look into one of the pewdiepie vids - he had 5 five japanese whisky - and his nose was impressive - he found notes ranging from "pretty nice" up to "very nice" and "very, very nice".

When using WSET’s Systematic Approach to Tasting one of the options for the Assessment of Quality is ‘Very Good’
I could hear PDP saying Very Nice in my head every time I gave that conclusion.

I tried to watch PewDiePie's reviews and what I saw, I concluded it wasn't my taste. I tried a few others and just couldn't enjoy them. I have stuck with a small handful of reviewers: Ralfy (was my first and continues to be my staple reviewer), Scotch Test Dummies (Can't go wrong with STDs), Whisky Whistle (and his new Whisky Whistle Korea), and lastly, Hörst (Whisky.com) (And I even learned to get passed the swooshing sound). Keep up the good work Ralfy! I think I don't speak for myself when I say, I am looking forward to the countdown to your 700th Review.

Whisky Whistle is a guy (Mark) who enjoys a good dram, and has fun sharing his enthusiasm for it. Some of his videos take place in Canada, but most of them are in S. Korea. I tell you this because sometimes he refers to places there he has purchased what he is reviewing.

I'm sure Ray Davidson would be less than delighted to learn that 'The Nose' designed the Glencairn Glass! I've never seen Paterson use anything other than a 'snifter' glass.

Aye - He's on the button, he is. Had a vid stressing the dangers of letting the drink get the best of you. He's a gem. Little tidbits of very interesting information. He knows his stuff, and his compliment to Richard Paterson is admirable.
By the way you never talked about your Hazelburn X Springbank X Longrow blend (not technically a blend i think) anymore, or did i miss that episode? I'd love to hear how it turned out.

That's a Czech slivovice, crafty and getting more popular in the recent years.
It'd be rather difficult to get hold of it as it's mostly sold to the domestic market, but I've got a bottle and it's straightforward, but substantial stuff. If you happen to encounter it somewhere, worth a try.
Dan Hammer Here in Croatia there are lots of them but the ones that I tried are not so great. And here nobody has patience to age šljivovica for years in casks, lol

What I did was use a cork screw and then decant it through a sieve when an old bottle of Glenlivet from the 1980's cork disintegrated.

I like the fact Pewds is sharing the love for whisky for his wievers. I'm quiye sure many of them has taken a hint on quality spirits. After buying the bottle they search for information on products online and they'll end up on Whiskey vault, Lüning or your channel (Ralfydotcom that is). A journey every time.

Glencadam 10 is a budget masterpiece. Deliciously biscuity and fruity. I was at Glencadam two weeks ago (2nd visit) and was informed that the 15 YO, which in my opinion, is the best one in the range is sadly being disconitinuned as they have run out of stock. They have the new Linited Edition 13 Year Old though and of course the very expensive 18 YO. My advice. If you see the 15 YO on the shelf, grab it quick!
To be honest, I always thought the glassware that often comes in giftpacks of high-end spirits is more of a display item anyway.
Maybe I've had one to many. This gentleman is a true gentleman. A honest true man. As a welshman I dont like the sectarianism (also known as nationalism) but here I am suffering it Having to live with it I wish him well. All us Celtic nations need to stick together.
When I can escape addiction and stuff I have done well. Suffering because I'm I'm Celtic is awful.

I am partial to a nice Abalour or a old poutney but I'm terrible for using my dad's old tumbler and an ice ball.
I only ever have 2 or 3 of the good stuff before I retire it and move to a cheapo blended or bourbon whiskey since I don't enjoy it as much once the alcohol kicks in.
That 100 year old bottle video they did was one of the most disrespectful things that's happened to whiskey

I quite like my Talisker Wamblers for drinking budget whisky and watching a movie or something. There is no way you can tip it over with a normal quantity of whisky.

I have an urgent question.
I bought 2 bottles of Glenfiddich 12 and the 2 bottles have different levels of filling in them. One bottle has more whiskey than the other !
Is this a common mistake of the production process or have I been scammed and bought 2 fake bottles of whiskey?

. . . slight fill-levels vary, it happens, but the fill level must exceed 70cl or (75cl if in the USA) in all legal bottles, if in doubt, check with the seller or send photos to Glenfiddich as they need to know about possible fakes, good luck.
