@@freddiemortos8519 well, depends what fault you will find, as Sorin said: not all the faults can be fixed; another exemple is data tracks( like RAM - CPU tracks). I'll would like to see you just trying to fix that :)))
SORIN YOU ARE NOT WASTING OUR TIME!!. You just tested the boost circuit on the lcd pcb, Diode + Coil + Switching i.c, it is good to know how things work!! :-D.
Agreed. The fault finding process is the good part of the channel. The diagnostic process and block level explanation of function is what RUclips is lacking elsewhere. This was a good video.

@Miracle Okon I'm 50 and in this moment I don't have a job . Do you think it's funny? If you don't have the clue please don't answer I don't like to waste my time
Your videos help us learn how to troubleshoot. In this video you did not waste our time, actually you applied process of elimination and determined what is best for the customer. And you shared it with us. Your time is valuable and we learn from your videos. It gives lot of satisfaction when you fix things instead of throwing away for landfilling. There are very few repair videos in RUclips; most of them are replacement videos, still good though! Keep up your good work, Sir. We sure like your videos very much.
all the troubleshooting, finding the broken cable, and using another available suitable screen solved the issue. well worth my time for the steps taken. thank you again
Thnx .. lesson learned today : remember to check the inverter before replacing a screen because we are here to fix not to replace ( and this is lesson 2 :D)
i speak french primary language , your english is so clean than i can easy know what you say thank you i love your videos grats from quebec canada this one make me laught you are cool
Fixing rubbish ?....maybe so, but i bet that there are a whole lot of people out there that are glad you can. Me, i like watching you so i can learn how to fix my own rubbish..god bless ya
Hi Surin. I think, it's not a waste of time! Here I learned that it is possible to save a screen ... and especially if you cannot get another screen or the possibility to adjust a completely different screen by adjusting the inverter and Beck Light. excellent. Thank you. Sharon.
Definitely not boring! I have never considered doing even minor repairs on a screen; always replacing them. But now, I can imagine there will be few that I should be able to fix. Thank you Senpai Sorin!
I don't think he is getting this kind of jobs, how ever... if you focus on learning "electronics" from him, you can apply that knowledge to any electronics device!
You are not wasting my time Sir Tracher, im learning something new today. Thankyou so much for making this video. Ps: i have the similar problem with my laptop, it all start when i let it stay in a ASUS repairman shop for 3 day, at the time my problem was bluescreen. but after 3day the repairman require me to replace my screen. in ma place its expensive its around $465 17.3inc screen. in the end i chose to just give up and learn maybe one day i can fix it myself . . . who know ?😁
Don't say thatr you are wasting our time. The situations are different and it is always interesting to see what comes up next. Thank you as always Sorin! :)
Don't listen to the haters, haters are how you know you're on the right track, subbed and liked for an awesome video with good humour good knowledge and a charismatic man :)
Great video, lots of things to learn for people that does not dedicate to this kind of things but wanna know the internals of how this things work, like me. Thanks!
I actually frequently repair and change the fluorescent lamps from old LCD's. It's a very delicate job. The lamps are really thin and break very easily. Disassemble all the filters and remove the LCD and replace them. And if you put them wrong or slightly twisted, you wont be able to reassemble it all together without breaking them.
Please inform people don't touch probe two pins together that may plus next to minus and it may burn some parts.i see one of your probe still too thick for repairs and sometimes you are touching probe on two components or poles together usually on cellphone.i recommend use thick needle instead of standard probe anyway you re good technician.keep it on.students can not learn this things at school.this is real job intelligence.thank you &have a nice day
you are right replacing screen or any part is easy but repair them or make them working again that what make you good i want to be good as you and fixing them is more fun then replacing
I have been your number fan, I think I have to contribute also, there is still solution to the defective screen, here is the solution, get any screen of same kind, remove the glass and connect this voltage from the defective screen 19v, 3v and GND to the module of the functioning back ( i.e combination of a good screen and a good backlight). I just hope my mentor finds this interesting. I am jokem wonders from Nigeria
I would like to ask a question from the point of view of a repair shop where the customer wants fast. In order for us to be quick on repairs the most important part is having the tools and what I want to know is how do you know which components to stoke from both chips and screens that you used as chargers etc. I hope you made me understand. What should we have in stock in a store?
Hi, Sorin. Incredible knowledge sharing! I have a question - what if I have 19VDC on the ribbon cable to the screen instead of the 42VDC? Is it an inverter problem or coil or...can you advise?
i also have problem with my laptop backlight, i try to repair it myslef but end up damaging the board but it still usable, i wanted to show you the picture if it can still be fixed but dont know how to comtact you mr.Sorin
Hello, may I ask what if I replace the lcd screen and the problem is still exist. My laptop does not have backlight. Is it on the motherboard problem? Looking forward to ypur answer. Thanks 😃
In an older video you advised us not to replace the screen without first removing the battery because we can burn super I/O chip. Not valid in all cases?
Very interesting video but in cases like this I’ll just replace the whole screen or the whole board because these kind of components are difficult for me to replace
Hi Sorin, you keep saying 'don't worry about the cleaning, we will do that later'. I would love to se ow you go about cleaning all that flux off your boards, if that is possible, thank you.
„we are not here to replace, we are here to fix“ ...that’s why I love this channel
The funny part is,he replace the screen and not fix the old one 😂😂😂
@@freddiemortos8519 well, depends what fault you will find, as Sorin said: not all the faults can be fixed; another exemple is data tracks( like RAM - CPU tracks). I'll would like to see you just trying to fix that :)))
True
Well if it can be fixed then yes. If it can’t, then oh well
Sorin I like yours videos becouse you don`t cut anything like many youtubers.

Such troubleshooting is giving us more information than direct fixing
You always advise us not to replace screens without taking the battery
But you did it Sorin

Sir boss you have video fix for pink color flickering screen hp laptop?
Remove batery before you change your screen......then you plugged new screen with batery on powered up laptop and then plugged power dc jack......
he says that to amateurs, always do it right. he is pro, so he knows when he can do such things or not
@glyn hodges Do as I say, not as I do :)
Very interesting video but in cases like this I’ll just replace the whole screen or the whole board because these kind of components are difficult for me to replace
Please help me!! How to find compatible inverter replacement
You the best sir. I like to be student of yours 🙂
"So, it's not the fuse, it's never the fuse!" - yeah it's usually those difficult to find transistors that 'protect' the fuse...!
+1 Nice repair
