Thanks for watching. Have been waiting for several years to share my shows. They've finally come off licensing.

I'm a bit surprised the Austin Seven wasn't mentioned. It was built under license by so many manufacturers.

Citroën Traction Avant 11B cabrio (1938). Please look into the name of both type (hint: TA=FWD) and brand (hint: Citroen=Lemon in Dutch). And while you're at it, the logo, the double chevron. Well spotted 2 secs will turn out in 2 hours of worthwhile exploration. Enjoy mon chèr monsieur Hawk!

@@dannyversmoren1284 TA=Front wheel drive. The "double chevron logo is due to the fact that Citroen was at its start a manufacturer of chevron shape gearings, invented by, I think a Czech engineer. One can note that the same chief engineer, Mr. André Lefèvre, designed 3 revolutionary cars : Traction avant (front wheel drive), 2 CV (equivalent to the Ford T for the French people after WW II and DS 19(Hydraulic suspension and external design)

European show so no Japanese cars . Their significance is reliability Toyotas and Hondas may be less than exciting but they are built to just keep on going

I have two Toyota's and one Ferrari...I love that Ferrari, but I trust my Toyota's. Modern Japanese cars are some of the best.

1-Offer easy financing to auto buyers and 2-pay workers enough that they can also be customers. These are really the only two things that Ford innovated above and beyond the Olds curved dash. It's a rookie mistake to give credit to the Model T as being the first affordable, mass produced car.

It should be noted that in another KR production, this one on General Motors, Ransom Eli Olds is indeed given the credit for assembly lines and cheap cars in the curved dash Olds. Not sure whether the GM video was produced before or after this one. I've noticed some factoids seem to differ from video to video, possibly due to different writers. However, once Billy Durant acquired Oldsmobile for his General Motors menagerie, the curved dash was out (as was RE Olds) and the Oldsmobile became a premium brand ("the doctor's car"). Olds went on to form another company, REO Motors, and concentrated on trucks, as in the REO Speedwagom (the truck, not the band).

The Corvette was more significant than the Mustang. It was America's first attempt at creating a true sports car. The Toyota Corolla can also be considered among the best ever. After all, the Corolla is now the most sold nameplate ever(surpassing the Model T and the Beetle).
