I'm Jordanian but this is the first time I hear the word Skamleh, in my household and most other people I know we call it Ta-ra-bai-zah طربيزة
I hear tarabeza too wow good point! I hear it both ways. I’m planning a video to talk about different words we use for same objects in Jordanian dialect. An example like this one is: سجاد وموكيت, or

1. One bottle, two bottles, three bottles.
2. One glass, two glasses, three glasses.
5. One cup, two cups, three cups. (for coffee, tea)
6. One plate, two plates, three plates.
7. One spoon, two spoons, three spoons.
8. One fork, two forks, three forks.
9. One knife, two knives, three knives.

Very close- it’s western Jordanian and it’s very close to shami dialect, almost identical
Is levantine similar to ordoni? I want to learn Arabic MSA and then learn a dialect but I'm so lost. Where I learn they have Egyptian Arabic, eastern Arabic and MSA.
Hello Tyler! Yes Levantine is the dialect used in Jordan/Syria/Lebanon/Palestine region. So “ordoni “ or “Jordanian “ is considered Levantine which is the dialect I teach. Levantine is closest to MSA than any other dialect, and is the spoken dialect that is easiest to understand. Hope this helps!
Ahlan mua3llimmeh, there seems not to be any general rule that governs how to form the plural of Arabic nouns from the singular & vice versa, so one just has to memorize them. Am I correct? Shukran 2ilek wa Allah yebaarik fiki.
Great question. There are rules and exceptions depending on the origin of the word . I’ll try to make a video on that at some point. Thanks!
