Yet another fantastic , humorous video from the two of you! Wow what a gesture being gifted those Cobras, especially the NIB - which appears to be a later spec TQ (there was a slight design change with the slipper clutch, making it ballraced) Great cars straight out of the box, I ran mine BITD with some very respectable results against cars of twice the price, it was especially good indoors, indeed I continued to race the Mardave indoors even after getting sponsorship & a brand new Losi XX 2wd.... which I used outdoors, happy memories!
I remember getting a Mardave Cobra for chistmas as young Lad, put it together without any parental help, I didn't understand how the shocks went together so just chucked the pistons and seals in with the oil and screwed the caps on. suspension was rather under damped. Mechanical ability has improved since then. 😃😃
What a legend RC Steve is, a box fresh Cobra! Hens teeth and rocking horse do-do are easier to find! Looking forward to seeing the Cobra in action. Great video boys. 🚗💨
Loved my cobra bitd, love my cobra even more now, never fails to put a smile on my face when I run it. Does really well aswell, made many A finals with it, including Revival and the lakeland classic. Such an underrated car,but under rate it at your peril
I ran a cobra back in 92 after moving from Tamiya into real 1/10th buggy RC racing. I've since got another and upgraded it hugely in hope to take part in some vintage racing. Spares however these days are impossible to find. I luckily have a huge stock of spares for now.
How about doing a video showing all the hop ups available for the older stuff like the cobra and then race them to show how an older car can still be competitive against the newer stuff
I just did a video on a vintage RC but mine was a little more toy grade 😉 I had a couple of Mardave kits back around 1992. They both came from a shop in Southend. Basic but fun. First time I ever used foams.
