Yay! This is the channel that made me a fan to begin with. Love the warmth and beauty of watching your family’s life in tropical Maui. ❤️. Please keep posting here!
I’ve been watching you guys since Elvis was little and I’m finally having my first baby! I’m just vegetarian and I live in Indiana but I loooove your content and it’s so inspiring. I love you guys!!!
The healthiest I ever was, was when I was vegan on Maui. Sunshine and nutrient dense food is a spectacular combo. With so much activity it actually caused me to eat less as well but I never lacked energy. I was just..lighter.
Same, i have to say though, these videos do inspire me to be less meat and animal-product-centered. I am a carb-conscious person. Seeing these lovely salads with tahini, avocado, and sauerkraut really does motivate me. I make my own kraut all the time!
I tried my first papaya this weekend because of you. It was delicious. I don't know where I've been the last 29 years but clearly I've been living under a rock LOL.
@@nathaliecabrera8859 where do you live? I hate papaya too but once I went to the canary island and suddenly loved it. So I think it definitely depends where you get it from
Fun fact: Paprika (bell pepper / capsicum / whatever you call it), especially red ones, are even richer in Vitamin C than most citrus fruit, they actually contain about twice as much Vitamin C as oranges and lemons. If you don't have access to oranges/lemons, don't like them or just have an intolerance you can easily omit them by eating red paprika
Does it still keep the vitamin C content if you dehydrate them in a dehydrator? (in the UK during high summer these are actually quite affordable, but more prohibitive at other times of year). Convenience factor also.
Hey Ellen, I'm pregnant as well (think we might be quite around the same week) and I made your ICE CREAM the other day. I added a tbsp of cinnamon as well and it's amazing! Me and my Partner are obsessed! Thank you SO much for the recipe and all the other great food ideas I got from you over the years!! All the best to you and love from Germany ❤
I haven’t tried Ellen’s coconut milk ice cream, but I absolutely love banana nice cream. My favourite is to top it with maple syrup and pecans; it tastes like butter pecan ice cream.
Ellen you inspire me so much and you have for years. I’m trying my best to eat more plants like you. I’m pregnant with my second baby. Please never leave RUclips, we need more people like you here! Sending you all my love from Australia! Xx
Amazing videos! Im 26 weeks pregnant for the very first time and been watching you on and off since mango island mama days and always watched your pregnancys & birth videos with great pleasure. i can’t believe im actually pregnant this time watching! Love a fellow vegan of 16 years xx
I am not a vegan, but I do enjoy your videos!! My husband and I suffered our first miscarriage two years ago and now are on our TTC journey again with the help of an IVF clinic. I love fruits and veggies so any information I can grab is amazing!!
I love watching your videos! I'm currently 14 weeks with my first and found this most beneficial. I'm one of the women who has suffered with Nausea, morning sickness and food aversions...cannot drink cordial juice anymore, onions are a no go along with a few other things. I am going to give your ice cream recipe a try (I have a real thing for ice and ice cream!). Also your video has made me think about what i may be/am lacking, so thank you, because I can now improve...it's never to late to change habits.

vegan pregnancy, children, and the lifestyle is general is just so much healthier. i remember going to a doctors appointment with my sister when she was pregnant and just hearing all of the non-vegan foods she had to cut out in risk of harming her baby… while with a vegan diet you can eat so much nutritious, delicious food and not have to worry.
Hi Ellen, thanks for another beautiful video. I just got your 3 recipe books today and am so thrilled. They are just beautiful and it is so obvious that you really put your heart and soul into them.
I started making big batches of ginger tea to keep in the fridge and it has cleared up all breast pain and it makes it so much faster to go to the "bathroom" whereas before I was having to sit and wait for a while which was causing issues.
I so appreciate your videos! I am five months pregnant and I am always praying my baby girl doesn't have an adhd tendencies like me. I also got sick at 19 with hyperthyroidism. Now, that I am 30 and pregnant, my midwife did tell me to take this medication because now it's too low. It hasn't bothered me for years. I love meat but I also love carrots, strawberries, watermelon, pickles and plums. I really enjoy spinach and kale but I definitely need to cook more and learn more healthy recipes. God bless you for sharing! My sister has been vegan for about two years but most of her food was not appealing to me and her fridge always smelled terrible in my opinion. I know fresh means stronger odors but I always wondered if it was a way around it. LOL.
I love your RUclips. I wish I could go vegan but it’s so hard to stay away from the recipes and meats I’m so use to eating. Ik the challenge it more mental but looking at your RUclips gives me more and more hope to reach that goal one day.

I am not pregnant but since I love your videos so much, and I love being educated I had to watch! Been a follower for many years now. I love your channel! Thank you for helping others learn about healthy living!
Hi Ellen I’m not pregnant but I appreciate your content so much! And I would love it if you gave us an insight in how it is that you get vitamin D. It would mean the world! Thank you! 💛
I’m not vegan but i do try to have vegan/vegetarian days to at least lower my animal product consumption (i just really struggle with my energy big time with a completely vegan diet unfortunately) but i love watching your videos for suggestions on healthy options!
Really? My energy has improved since going vegan yeeeaaars ago! It’s important to keep your iron and vitamin B and D levels in order though as that can leave you feel drained. We don’t need a few perfect vegans, we need tons of imperfect vegans! ☺️ 🌱 ☮️
I agree that fresh Fruit and veg are the best and we all should eat more. A concern I habe however is the pesticide used to grow them even if they are organic. As you have your own garden you can decide that do use as fertilizer and pesticides etc. However my parents run a blood and urine test (and they swear on organic biological fruit and veg) and they could find Glyphosat in their bodies ( and we live in central europe where usually food is regulated more strict than in the usa).
Can I just tell you, your channel has change my mind set, I'm not fully vegan, but that te destination I'm going, and I didn't know we're to start, you help me a lot. And really teach me how to love food, healthy carbs without being afraid. You are amazing. And I wish you your family the best. You are my inspiration.
I’ve been watching your videos for awhile now back when you had one baby. I finally created a gmail and now I’m able to subscribe! I love that we are pregnant at the same time.☺️
Love this!! I’ve been vegan for almost 6 years now and I found you’re channel when I had just become vegan! Thanks for your content! I was wondering if you recommend any books for growing a thriving garden?
@@user-ux1ok7kr5i seeds such as flax and chia aren’t toxic. They have been used since ancient Egyptian (flax) and Aztec and Mayan civilisation (chia) for medicinal purposes, religious rituals and cosmetics. Also I am 100% sure that they are not toxic - look it up. Why would Ellen be promoting them in pregnancy and through all stages of life is they were toxic. Most seeds found from fruits such as apple, cherries, apricots, avocado, peaches, nectarines etc. are toxic as they contain small traces of cyanide. And yes If u ingest large amounts of crushed seeds listed above then they can kill you. And no, seeds are not man made. Sure artificial selection over centuries has manipulated the crops to produce larger or sweeter fruits ect.
@@user-ux1ok7kr5i I have no idea where u have found this information, but I am sorry you are wrong. Seeds such as chia and flax seeds are very beneficial for our health. They are super high in antioxidants, they contain our entire daily recommended amount of fibre (which helps us poop). They are amazing for heart health and contain more omega 3 and fatty acids than salmon. And also contain linoleic acid which helps u absorb all of the essential vitamins. And of course, everything nowadays is grown/produced with the intention of human benefits. Yup, most things are wrapped in plastic, we have no control over that. Food has been manipulated to create more, to make it bigger, to make it tastier, ect so humans can benefit. The vegetarian and vegan diet/lifestyle are appropriate for all stages of life, unlike a normal diet - in pregnancy the intake of fish is ill advised as it has high levels of Mercury which can damage the development of the babies nervous system.
@@user-ux1ok7kr5i I seriously have no idea where u have learned/heard this from, but I promise you that it isn’t true. Try and convince me otherwise, drop a link to a website that proves this and I will genuinely have a look, but I can guarantee u that for every one article I find I will find 10. I am also guessing that you eat meat, which if so I am not telling u to change ur diet or anything, but I would advise you to not watch a vegan channel if it causes u this much distress. Honestly tho, chia and flax seeds are completely harmless, they have extremely rare side effects which occur in hardly any people, and mainly it is needing to go to the toilet too much or thinning of the blood -very very rare. You have nothing to worry about when eating them, like u said they pass through ur system. But if u don’t want to eat them then don’t, it’s no biggie
@@user-ux1ok7kr5i Ellen is not advising for anybody to live off of seeds. Ellen is only advising the incorporation of seeds in daily diet as they have many health benefits.
Wow. Normally id be the type of person to misjudge and ask how is this possible ? But your children and you are living proof that plant based diets are great. Love this, God bless. I learned something new today!
@@maztergee Yes... mother's milk is high in saturated fat and cholesterol, which is only found in animal foods because guess what, humans are animals! Vegans don't eat animal food so their milk is not nutritious enough to sustain life. This is the same reason why women miss periods and become infertile.
I'm so in love with your channel and the message you are putting out there for healthy food and healthy pregnancy. All women should be eating this way naturally especially during pregnancy. I will include men in this too to eat healthy as well. New sub here!
Such great tips!! Thank you. Not even pregnant...but just LOVE everything! P.S. We love your granola at our house too. I get requests for it from my husband. :)
Fresh fruits and veggies are great but more often than not frozen fruits and veg are picked and frozen at their peak freshness and contains more nutrients/vitamins than ones that aren’t frozen but have been sitting on the shelves for a week
I have a question. I bought a juicer to make green juice into individual glass bottles. Is it okay to drink those during the week? Will the green juice go bad? I just like making it in bulk and enjoying it throughout the week. Love your videos!!
I’m not pregnant but still watched this. I’m nursing my 18 month old. Man I wish we had fresh Papaya but it has to be imported. It does not taste good. When I went to Belize the papaya was amazing, huge difference fresh and local.
I just had a papaya this morning imported from Mexico. 😋 A lot of fruit is imported. That doesn't mean it won't taste good. Go to different produce markets.
What would you recommend for energy?? I’m trying to cut the coffee, but being pregnant with my third vegan baby has made me a bit tired this time around.. I control my intake to a small cup a day but I would love a recommendation for something more nourishing.
I'm not pregnant, but today's video felt like your old videos. I've been watching since Sandy was a baby. I hope more videos feel like this again. It was nice.
Wow, I came across your videos. Thank you, just also to say how great God is, He has me eating a certain way and craving certain foods for the pass 3 or so months. I did not know I was pregnant until this past 1 1/2 weeks. ( I thought I was going through perimenopause) I looked back and everything you said in the 1st trimester, I was eating and other foods I have been eating on a regular basics. It was funny, that I don't crave or eat sauerkraut, and had bought some 3 weeks ago and this week I crave sour dough, never eat it. HMMMM, He (the Lord) told me, to take it easy a few months back, now I know why, I did a lot of really physical work before, took the time off to relax. Amazing, everything falling into place for me, It just more and more confirmation, beautiful. Congratulation on your 5th, Beautiful family, Thank you for your videos -Blessings to you and your family
I understand how all these foods are extremely rich especially when you get them locally grown and organic. But I wonder, how does the nutrition look in these foods, when we/I buy them from the supermarket, where they might even be shipped from other countries and sometimes not even available organic. Would love to hear if there is much difference there ☺️✨
This video is incredible. I am not pregnant but the information has been so valuable for me. Thank you for putting together such an informative video. 👏 it is truly appreciated also I want to mention that you continue to inspire me to thrive. Whenever I feel the low vibration around me and it becomes to much I think of you and how you take charge of your life and health and it always motivates me to be my best. Thank you for being a light worker even if you might not be aware.

This is beautiful. Is it even possible to be healthy in Europe/Germany or in other similar states?! Our food is lacking almost all nutrients! I'm so sick after one mostly vegan pregnancy and nursing my boy for 1 year. I'm just eating pricey organic foods, much of them raw. I don't think it is possible to be really healthy here. Especially in the city. Everything here is just making you and your baby sick. You are really lucky to live in Hawaii!!! Wish you all the best for your next child. I hope one day I can get healthy again and get another baby. ❤️❤️❤️

As you have your own garden you can decide that do use as fertilizer and pesticides etc. However my parents run a blood and urine test (and they swear on organic biological fruit and veg) and they could find Glyphosat in their bodies ( and we live in central europe where usually food is regulated more strict than in the usa).
You can't be obsessive about it. Eating plant-based is always better than eating dead flesh. 🤮
Plant based vegan? As opposed to what? Or do you mean you've been vegetarian but mostly vegan?
I think she means solely unprocessed whole foods opposed to junk food vegan food.
Can I just tell you, your channel has change my mind set, I'm not fully vegan, but that te destination I'm going, and I didn't know we're to start, you help me a lot. And really teach me how to love food, healthy carbs without being afraid. You are amazing. And I wish you your family the best. You are my inspiration.
amazing wow!! all the best to you and your journey towards more whole plant foods
I was wondering if you recommend any books for growing a thriving garden?
look into permaculture and no dig gardens
@@jojobimeling5668 thank you!!!
This video makes me feel good.. I just find out i’m pregnant and i’m definitely considering vegan life stile for me and my baby!
Fresh banana mashed up frozen is yummy ice cream, I like it with flaxseed.
LOVE this channel. Thank you so much.
Also if anyone is struggling with their bowel motions, eating chia, flax seeds and kiwis can really help

Love this channel so much 🥰🥰🙌
Wow. Normally id be the type of person to misjudge and ask how is this possible ? But your children and you are living proof that plant based diets are great. Love this, God bless. I learned something new today!
Mic the Vegan's newborn baby just died from the vegan diet.
@@andrewhenderson6544 thats crazy I wonder if her children will do as well in the long term
@@andrewhenderson6544 are you being serious?
@@maztergee Yes... mother's milk is high in saturated fat and cholesterol, which is only found in animal foods because guess what, humans are animals! Vegans don't eat animal food so their milk is not nutritious enough to sustain life. This is the same reason why women miss periods and become infertile.
Please do a long DITL like the old days!
What’s DITL??
Day in the life, I got it now 😁🙈
Great advice, your knowledge is impressive and I love that is it genuine experience too! X
thank you for this video Ellen! loved it. all love!
This is such a wonderful video ! So full of great information 🥰 thank you ! Will definitely try the the ice cream
Are you planning an ebook bundle any time soon?
Omg! This video is everything! THANK YOU ♥️ and have a blessed pregnancy ☺️
Thanks for the video Ellen, I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well.
You inspire me! Where can I find that sourdough recipe 🤩
I'm so in love with your channel and the message you are putting out there for healthy food and healthy pregnancy. All women should be eating this way naturally especially during pregnancy. I will include men in this too to eat healthy as well. New sub here!
Thank you for the inspiring video! What kind of juicer do you use? Looks like a manual one
Enjoyed this video! Thank you for posting.
They don't taste the same or have the enzymes of fresh fruits.
I have a question. I bought a juicer to make green juice into individual glass bottles. Is it okay to drink those during the week? Will the green juice go bad? I just like making it in bulk and enjoying it throughout the week. Love your videos!!
Seen I watched you I see food more delicious and in the process to eat more healthy food. Always great videos
i’ve been watching since it was just elvis and sandy, so happy for ur little but not so little anymore family 😢
Thank you for this informative video with such beautiful footage!!
What would you recommend for energy?? I’m trying to cut the coffee, but being pregnant with my third vegan baby has made me a bit tired this time around.. I control my intake to a small cup a day but I would love a recommendation for something more nourishing.
Do you do any meal preps to make the week simpler?
Yes❤️
I loveeee how you lead such a balanced plant based diet! I would love to connect for a potential podcast collaboration for a client!! Let me know and peace and love xx
She is a scammer, a liar.
Ellen I love you! You are so authentic and just a huge inspiration. You are one of the reasons I eat plant based, I feel so good and strong and healthy. Love from Germany
amazing!! and thank you for the encouragement and support!
I thought I was the only one that did half and half quinoa to rice! Kids and husband love it that way over just quinoa
Would def be trying out this coconut milk icecream
Thank you for stressing the importance of dark leafy greens and how to enjoy them🙂 Many people overlook their multiple benefits! Your lifestyle is so inspiring, thank you for sharing all these valuable tips👏
Loved this video. I remembered to eat some sushi to get iodide. I don't like meal prep or recipe type videos but videos like this are beneficial to remind different foods to my body. Lots of love from Turkey. 💜☺️
Oh thank u! So glad I found your channel
