@@marleonetti7 but many who rent is just as bad when one sees and watches all of these TV court cases of how tenants mess up a place, more tenants are low life when one sees how dirty they leave place, works both ways, yes there are also many slum landlords---but big questions ++++ why then move into place when its run down and when taken to court complain about the dirty run-down apartment

I would never go off airBNB if it was my place because you loose the insurance they provide for free against damage caused by the tenant. I rented a spare room out on airBNB for about 2 years. Made great extra money. But all it takes is the guest from hell to destroy everything and not have it covered by airBNB.
Also keep in mind anyone staying longer than 30 days is considered a tenant in most states and you have to evict them in court (even if it started out as a short term airBNB rental). Not applicable in this case, but interesting nonetheless if you ever want to rent out a room for more than 30 days.

I've heard too many stories about civil assets forfeiture to be at all comfortable travelling in the US with a large amount of money. I've also heard about how easy it is to defraud people with fake cashier's checks, so people are left with very few options.

I’m from Texas and we have a rural two lane highway that runs through the small towns of East Texas. The Sheriff’s dept. regularly stops people, especially out of state and searches them illegally. They scare people so no one speaks back. They have seized so many people’s money. Locally we know to avoid that stretch of road. I’m not sure how they get away with it. I think it’s a legal gray area. They can keep the money indefinitely claiming they are still “investigating”.

I hate when litigants say. The Judge didn't let them tell their side. Its total BS. They done the deal off air b&b. She is lucky to have the recording, recording saved her case. Not all Judges will listen to taped conversations. Defendant with the tv on the table excuse. Too many excuses.

when she started talking about not being able to mount a 32" tv and she wanted a big tv I already smelled something off (32" tv is I think the smallest size TV you can get now!!). the counter space and this is what she LED her argument with!! - then she starts talking about how the furniture is sentimental to her (reason why a TV can't be placed on furniture).... its all just bs (no one puts a sentimental ANYTHING in a room they are renting to someone)...
I'm responsibl for this 26 year old girl (i guess another person renting in there)
-just pointing out the amount of garbage even before she got to the nonsense to justify canceling on the last day.
plaintiff dodged a bullet in not staying with this crazy person.
