- The U.S. Military Academy Class of 2028 Cadet Candidates take the oath ceremony on The Plain in West Point, N.Y., July 1, 2024.
On R-Day, or Reception Day, Cadet Candidates report to West Point and undergo a series of orientation activities to include uniform issue and medical examinations, culminating with the Oath Ceremony. Following R-Day, Cadet Candidates begin six weeks of Cadet Basic Training.
The U.S. Military Academy at West Point's mission is "To build, educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets to be commissioned leaders of character committed to the Army Values and ready for a lifetime of service to the Army and Nation."
God Bless and keep all the new cadets. Give them the strength to endure these next few weeks and beyond! Give them the wisdom to take one day at a time. Tomorrow starts a new day and all will be well. Have faith in yourself!
Congratulations to all the cadets, especially to my nephew! We, the world citizens give you the respect. And God bless you!
God made all people from one man, Adam. All people are brothers.
The God saves people by preaching (1st Corinthians 1: 21, Isaiah 54: 13). He has nothing to do with war.
Unfortunately, the lying and corrupt clergy is silent about this. They even bless racists and nazis in the name of God.
The problem is that the Devil rules the world. He is a liar and a murderer. This is why deception and violence are everywhere. This is the reason why people cry over stray cats and hate their brothers. This is the reason why Hitler got the power, but Christ was executed as "blasphemer" and "rioter" by denunciation of clergy. This is the reason why the whole world is Sodom.
That's why we have the Gospel about the Kingdom of God. Jehovah will put everything in order. He has anointed the king, Jesus Christ. The dead will rise and we will meet our loved ones again! :-)
My brother is there today He will be missed, but I am proud of what he has done
What a beautiful place & tradition. This is the USA that we can be proud of.

Isn’t it funny how, in our memories, we were much better than this rag tag lot. We were nothing my brothers and sisters. We were as scared as they were today and, although we thought we were a perfect drill team, we were not. Bless these young women and men

In one of the 2nd platoons, someone on the left side 1/4 ways down, can be seen on video, marching OUT OF STEP ALMOST TRIPPING THE GUY IN FRONT & BEHIND.

I know it was the first day but come on wow, they looked horrible. Left foot on the beat. It's not that hard. And looking around in the ranks... they do have a long way to go.😂😂😂 I hope they look much, much better in late August when they join the Corps.
The whole point of this parade is to showcase the starting ground for the new cadets. They get better
@@sam83af61 gee, really? As a graduate who went through this and has seen many videos of my class, they're three times worse. And that is not the fault of a new Cadets but the fault of the cadre. But like you said, they will get better by mid-august. They better had or there will be hell to pay when the upperclass Cadets are surrounding them.😅😅
When they watch this a few years into the future they will laugh and cringe at the same time as to how unmilitary their entrance was.
