- Currently one of six units in Australia, this Gravitron made an appearance at the Royal Melbourne Show this year as usual. With a top speed of 160 km/h and a G force 4 times that of Earths gravity, it makes for one hell of a ride.

Very true, I do know that in the USA You Tube does not like music such as musical songs included into the video and if a creator does include music in the USA that could get the video blocked by YT or what they call" a copyright strike". More likely her because the rider asked to film and record video for YT, the ride operator had quieted any prerecorded songs from the stereo music usually played inside during the ride.
I rode this ride 4 times in a row when I was a kid because there was no waiting line. I left my final trip staggering through the fairgrounds in search of my sisters. My equilibrium was seriously thrown off. The lights and loud noises only added to the confusion. Good times, good times.
I've been on that ride more than 50 times and i still love it ive never gotten sick on or after that ride im on my way to the fair right now and thats the first ride imma go on

Maria the infamous harley quinn SAMEEE!!! I used to love it so much. I haven’t been on this ride in over 10 year or have seen a video but in my head I thought: “ok so watch, first you can slowly begin to put your legs up, then most of the time your seat will start to lift up vertically” god I remember this ride so well. I was that little shit head kid that would shift my body so I was upside down. Dang we have a feast every year at the end of May in my town, now I HAVE to ride it. It’s been WAYYY too long lmao.

I do 10-20 rides over the royal show weekend without fail. Love it. Best ab workout if you do sit ups! I can almost, almost stand up. After years of attempts.
I did it 24 times in one day and it made me sick as fuck. But it doesn't stop me!

Nah there are no forces acting on him if hes in the middle, you won't see the outside and after a while you adapt and you think it's just a still room but everyone is being pushed back.
The middle doesn't spin, I just feel bad that he has to look at it spinning all day. That would make me so dizzy

The Spokane Interstate Gair always has one and it's my favorite ride.
I know this is old but my city is doing a weekend carnival event right now and this ride is there. Not fancy looking like this one, doesn’t have the fancy lights but same ride and SO MUCH FUN! Never been on that ride until today but I’ve always wanted to try it. I’m planning on going on it again tomorrow before work😂

I loved this ride as a kid in the 80s and 90s. I rode this an adult a few years back and thought I was going to die!
Lmaooo must just be better suited for kids because I just recently rode it for the first time, and the kids on the ride were just like relaxed as could be, while I felt like my face was caving in and someone Put a big ass weight on my chest 😂😂😂😂. Gotta love getting old!

i went on one of these today having no knowledge about them, somehow i didn't vomit when i felt my intestines being crushed and finding it harder and harder to breath.

Couple years ago, I was inside of this and I was having a blast, so much so, I yelled at the guy manning the ride to crank it up to the max speed for a few seconds, I really was like “YOOO, TURN THAT SHIT UP TO THE MAX REALLY QUICK” he did and for like 10 seconds, it felt like my flesh was gonna fly right off my face, great times 😂😂

I had serious asthma as a kid & I got on this ride after everyone telling me how "awesome" it was....BAD MOVE....this thing is basically a gigantic CENTRIFUGE!! I lost consciousness when it almost collapsed one of my lungs! I was carried out by paramedics & literally wasn't breathing for about 5 minutes, I was blue from head to toe, then I all of the sudden started breathing again... but on the bright side, the 1st 60seconds.....SCARED THE SHIT OUTTA ME BECAUSE I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA DIE & NOBODY WOULD NOTICE MY BODY UNTIL THE FAIR CLOSED!
This ride is so freaking fun. The first time I was scared but now it’s my favourite ride

I went to the Perth royal show and went on the gravitron and it was so fun!!!! 10/10 would recommend going on it
That one kid hanging upside down...that was me every time I rode this in the 90s lol. The best way to do it!
Always found it strange as a kid that they make those seats bounce up when the speed goes up. Concidering the roof is a god damn tarp.
They don't make the seats go up... The speed makes the seats go up...

This was one of my favorite rides. Jammin out lights flashin n goin upside down and any which way i please. Whatever happened to the good old days with the best rides? Take me back.

I’ve only had the chance to go on one of these rides once but DAMN they might be my new favorite kind of carnival ride. I mean....you’ve got rainbow lights, a DJ in the center (who also does tricks if you have one that knows how - I’ve seen some cool vids), music blasting and everyone having a dance party on the walls (the one I went on happened to be playing “Hey Look Ma I Made It”), plus it’s fun to see all the backpacks and stuff people put in the center literally floating in the air. As long as you don’t get motion sickness, HOW AMAZING IS THAT??
I remember going on this ride in a summer camp trip once. Moments after I exited that ride, it was the most fun I've ever had, and wanted so badly to go again.
For all those who dont know, the force of gravity is many times LESS on the operator in the middle than on you who ride on the outskirts. In addition to this, some rides are now even built where the operator actually doesnt spin anymore, just the sides. Plus, if you pay attention, they actually change out with another guy to give him a break so he can rest and acclimate to regular gravity again. Just so you know.

That was just in your head, I promise you. When people are upside down the operator will slow the machine to about 2 g's to give you time to right yourself. If you can't rotate at 2 g's well - you probably shouldn't be going upside down! :P
Wow that brings back memories 1996-2006 when I was in school.. They always had rbr hardest hitting bass.. And people was all over the place jamming!
I grew up on a carnival. My stepdad owned one. This was one of my favorite rides. I got to be in the operators seat a few times and it’s different in the middle. I liked riding it upside down 😂

I’ve been on this ride twice. As a 10 year old I 🤢 immediately afterwards. Again as a 20 year old , I had motion sickness for hours. Not good times. Props to the ones that made it thru while laughing.
Yeah never had motion sickness or so I thought the hamburger come straight back up 2 hours after my ride.
I was constantly riding this upside down at my county fair. Our ride operator never said anything. Riding this upside down is awesome.
I just went on one of these with my young son and now as an adult was sick for 2 and half days. Never again
Funny thing: even when it is spinning you don't feel it because you can't see it, you just feel a pressure like if the gravity is upside down... like if you were upside down, it's amazing but I felt sick after that, like a headache and cold sweat... But I liked it anyways haha.

I’ve been on it 20 times in a row.
My friends been on it twice and they got sick. lol it’s really not that bad, it just goes up and down and spins around.
But it can make u really dizzy. If you’re new to the gravitron, then u should probably close ur eyes the first few times.

The way this ride works is basically ur spinning in a circle but what adds to it is the angle the seats are the. It starts spinning faster then u start getting pushed back and up

They had one of these rides at the state fair. I remember seeing one group of people getting off of it looking white, green, red...all sorts of colors.
I could never remember the name of this ride, so I called it the UFO ride.
They renamed it at the fair I go to as “alien abduction” but it will always be the graviton

Does this ride give you a tickle in your tummy, like the orbitor or pharaohs furry, or tilt-o-whirl. I love the orbitor, it always makes my stomach, tickle, like a roller coaster...but never been on this so wanted to know does it give the same feeling, in your stomach?

Warning! This ride is not for big boys. You see that big boy holding his heart near the end? I used to love this ride at the local carnival in my town, but as I got older and heavier, it put a lot of pressure on my chest/heart.

This is my favorite ride. My mom said she'd get on with me when I was 11 and then bailed.
I've always been too scared to go on this, but now that I've seen an inside POV I think I'll try it.
the key is do not fight it, lean back and let it pull you along. iF you don't fight it, you will be fine. it pulls you up against the wall naturally, eventually you get used to the motion of being pulled up the wall and it becomes really fun goin on the graviton ride.

I'm buying one of these. But not for a ride but for an experiment. You already have gravity distortion, next would be generating an Electromagnetic field or EMF with some minor modifications. The spinning and the EM field would create frame dragging. It has mass, it has a lot of other elements to allow it.

This ride makes it feel like it’s tipping backwards and you’re laying on your back on flat ground. Yet the ride doesn’t tip at all.
