I kind of new this already but was so impressed with your explanation I kept watching. Well done...very informative.
Thanks!
Yes! I have a system of eliminating the cause, tension, then needle then threads and needle combos. If I've dropped the bobbin case on hard floor too may times can sometimes mess it up. Mixing thread weights without stabilizing can mess it up too. Like every aspect of sewing, it just involves being involved and trying all the things. 😊
Yes, and the more times you fix it the more knowledge you have for the next time
Such a comprehensive way to demonstrate! Lol I already know this stuff but kept watching because I've never seen anyone show it so well. Nobody can still be unsure after this but I think it's probably the number one cause of confusion and frustration with sewing. 👏👏👏👏
Glad it was helpful!
Wow- fantastic description! So easy to understand. Thankyou.

So informative. Thanks for posting.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for a great tutorial!!!
You are so welcome!
My problem that I can't figure out is a birds nest at the start of every stitch. When I first start sewing. I have a brother se400 I've tried a few different things but clearly I'm missing the issues lol. HELP
Do you hold your thread as it starts sewing? That can help. I also use a piece of leader fabric to start my sewing.

Got it thank you 😊
Great!
I just couldn't get the right tension, no matter what I did. From thread to needles, etc... (even opening my machine just to check that the tension disc was working properly. 😁😂) just when I was about to give up on my threads which I bought in bulk 😣😣😣, I decided to open the bobbin case once more and check. Mine was a magnetic one. Turned out the magnet was not secured enough. I just replaced a stronger double sided tape on the bottom of the magnet, and viola! It worked! 😃😃😃
Interesting - I haven't come across a magnetic case.
@@Mellysews I'm just using a small portable machine called Sew Simple. I bought it online for $30. 😁
I have a problem that comes and goes, the bottom thread loops underneath the fabric. Sometimes it's fixed with a different presser foot, smaller stitch, a bigger needle. Never just the tensions or new needles, new needles don't affect this at all. My edge stitching presser foot is guilty of this a lot and it's not scratched or anything. My shuttle hook is smooth too so nothing to catch on there.
Sounds like more than I could diagnose via RUclips comments.
