Equipping a Great Rune does nothing unless you activate it with a Rune Arc. And the effect only lasts until death. Then you need to activate it again. It’s a temporary boost not intended to be used all the time. Think Embers/Humanity from other Souls games.
Personally I did raya lucaria before the manor and ainsel caves. Trust me raya lucaria is easy compared to the manor in terms of enemies. And the final boss is a cheesewalk if you just focus on melee and use a spirit summon

It's supposed to give you +5 to all attributes but just having it equipped does nothing, you have to use a rune arc. I know in the description it says that rune arcs are only for boosting them but it seems u have to use one
You and IGN made the explanation for activating the Goddricks Great Rune full of holes. You can’t just walk right up through to bridge there’s a huge fight there. And I love your videos they’re very helpful but maybe just slow down a little. I have to pause constantly and go back. Thanks!

Haven’t beaten Godrick did some of Stormveil and still at +3 flasks and visited all those churches. If I find a seed in Sofia then that’s +4. I guess if I find a seed in Stormveil and beat Godrick that’s 5?

Soo in the beginning where you say. Main gates site of grace head on through it and to the east. That explains nothing of what to do there. My gate is locked I didn’t have him open the gate. Does it have to be unlocked? The clip shows a hallway with some statues. I have not seen that before. How do you get to that hallway?
Just FYI, Siofra is pronounced "sho-fra". It's an Irish name. Think like "Siobhan" being pronounced as "Shovaun". Great vid btw! I totally missed that village in the South West.

You have to work your way to the crank that opens it. Assuming you have activated the grace behind the lion mini boss. Go to the courtyard you fought him and clear out and explore that court yard and you will find it eventually. If you haven't found the lion mini boss go to the Stormvale Castle lift grace (the one found after the ambush after the grafted sion dining hall) and clear out the ambush courtyard. You will find a path leading down hill, and that path leads to the lion mini boss. Also there is an imp gate in the cellar just off the ambush grounds that acts as a bit of a short cut that will place you near the gate crank
Best path is what piques your interest, its a lore and gamrplay focused arpg called soulslike and how openworld was presented, being sidetracked rewards players progressively, thats how you get the full experience of its openworld exploration. As rpg with FONV or DOS2, worth mentioning how inspired it is with Dragons Dogma.
You tell players to head east, and I've spent the last 2 hours looking for a way to head east from where I enter north of Stormveil, and all I'm finding is dead ends and sheer cliffs. Would be more helpful to show people how to navigate places instead of looking at a map of where to go. I'd love to go to these places, but I'm to the point where I'm fed up trying to follow guides that don't explain *how* to go a route. I've been all over the east side looking for a way to the highway, and I'm finding nothing. No one has a video for this either.
I'm still trying to figure out how to get to the top of the peak above the village of albinaurics, if that's at all possible. Does anyone know? I can't find a way up.

I figured it out. I already beat Radahn before trying the Ranni quest and depending on what you’ve done or not before radahn really changes where you need to start her questline. I needed to go talk to Rogier at the round table.

You don't have to fight the dragon to get the academy key, you can sneak behind him while he is sleeping and grab it.
Dragons are easy since you can use mounted combat u can pretty much full hp it. Gives good amount of runes too
Sneaking past enemies in Souls games is illegal, morally. If we do that the terrorists have won.

Great runes now have passive effects.

Not only do you need to use it at the grace. You also need to activate it with a special item or else it won’t do anything.

But fighting dragons are kinda easy, just lock on to their legs and dodge the fire and go back to his legs. It's fun.

I'm confused. You say to skip Caria Manor and then immediately proceed to something that Caria Manor is a prerequisit to........
you can visit Siofra/Ansiel River anytime, it's requisite only for a questline but yeah, it sounds a little confusing the way he put it.

I defeated Godrick and the front of the castle isn't unlocked... the gate is still shut
ask the npc in the room to the left of the gate, or go round and on the other side of the gate is a big room with a lever that opens it.
the jellyfish feels like cheating with him and if you get rot breath its over for godrick you just run and watch

you cant, that is part of Ranni quest, so go to the Three sister site to start the quest first
