If he on par skill wise with Sanders and Milroe at the combine, give me Cam. He's got the right attitude a team can rally behind. When the Canes got down Cam rallied the team and found a way to win. When Alabama has been down all I see is shots of Milroe sulking on the bench.

We can finish 11-1 and Cam would still be in it, probably even favored over Jeanty because his impact on Miami is greater than Jeanty’s to Boise State. If we go undefeated it’ll automatically go to Cam. History shows that it’ll go to the QB with the undefeated/1 loss record and video game type numbers. I do think it’ll ultimately be between Cam and Jeanty though.

Miami has been playing 2-4 deep the whole game. Most of the games I don’t know half of the players. So in the second half they wear the other teams out. If they played their first & second strings the whole game the scores wouldn’t be as close. Jimmy Johnson played everyone & when the seniors leave or someone gets injured the backups have invaluable playing experience. DB Brown out with an injury & it is killing the defense. Porter & Brown are lockdown corners. Cam Ward & the offense are the best in College Football & I have never doubted them or the team. When Brown comes back they are going to surprise everyone.

I wish people stop saying "Miamis D" is the problem...its not! Its the *"Secondary"* The defensive line is soild finally healthy and one of the best in the Nation even with all the holding penalties not being called!
Here is why I think Miami rolls the rest of the season. Their opponents have been tougher than rankings would suggest. They are through the toughest part of their schedule with the overall FPI of their power 4 opponents at an average of 28th so far. For the rest of the season, that average is 63rd. No more left inside of 30. GA tech is the toughest of those left. While Clemson looks like a much more complete team, their average opponent FPI in wins (so excluding UGA) is 78th. Their remaining is 25th. We have inverted schedules and I think we will see improvements for Miami and less competitive games whereas I think Clemson will also win out, but we will see them in closer games.
Canes are not losing bro. We r going to the playoffs undefeated and hopefully by then the defense will be playing better. Defense doesn't have to be dominant just get 3 or 4 stops a game and their offense will be able to out score everyone.

Offense is VERY, VERY good, defense is barely enough for teams like the last three opponents but likely will have more trouble for a top 5 or even top 10 team ... With this, Miami is poised to finally win ACC this season. I don't know how will they do in playoff though, should be exciting to find out.

Look, the dbs aren’t as bad as it seems. The problem is the scheme. The middle is always wide open. Instead of dropping the safeties so far back, Guidry needs to bring them up and drop the middle LB. Kiko hasn’t been playing well, when close to the line anyways. Give him the responsibility to just blow up any middle target (WR, TE, RB). Let him play the area, and he’ll be just fine. Guidry’s scheme is confusing everybody past the D-line. Most of the time, they’re not even set, when the opponent’s offense hikes the football. Again, that’s the sign of a confusing defensive scheme. Those kids are talented, and that’s why they were recruited by everybody.

College fans haven't understood the impact of the transfer portal. Its going to make games harder to win, cuz now you won't go into a season with real bad defencincies. You'll be able to retool quickly and stay competitive.
I think we can be honest as Canes fans and admit that the D needs to plug some holes. HOWEVER, they get the BIG stops when asked and (as you stated) there are not many offenses that can trade blows with the U right now. The character of this team has been on display for several weeks now & even though the rankings continue to look down on us - time will reveal all. Too many 1 loss teams are ranked too high,.

1. Miami has showed regardless if they’re at home or on the road..against all level of competition…that offense travels.
2. SEC narrative this season is based on what has happened in the past…their is nothing I’ve seen in 7weeks that make me confident in who is coming out of the SEC.
3. There not an offense outside of maybe Oregon or Ohio State I’m taking in a shootout to contend with Miami.
