I don’t know who on Indiana can keep up with Jeremiyah Love he’s too fast too strong and too motivated… and when he’s tired they have another bruiser who can run through..in Price. UI have a better fundamental QB but I think that’s it… my opinion.
@JustnNDTrollSniper I was looking at the NCAA stats and yes ND is outstanding in the run game. However, when I looked at all the other categories IU surpassed or were close with ND. Yet, with 80,000+ in the stands, that could be like 10 point advantage. Being from Indiana I like both teams and either way a team from the state is going to advance in CFP. If the Hoosiers lose like most believe it still will have been the most successful season in their history. If the Irish win, I will be pulling for them all the way.
AI IS THE DEVIL! Indiana has been disrespected and will have a chip on their shoulder. I don't think it will be like the Ohio State game. There's no doubt in my mind the ND coaching staff will not take them llightly. The "they played nobody" mantra aside, IU does have a reasonably good chance at a victory but I still give the Irish the edge. Both are national leaders in offense and defense. It should be interesting.
Wish ND would not have lost to NIU, they would have been #2 in the country and the 5 seed. Things being as they are and how they played out I think the committee did a good job considering the format. I think the format needs to change how the 12th rank team gets a 4 seed is crazy but I understand conference championship games are revenue for the network. All good go Irish!
@@IB_Irish_Forever I couldn't agree more with everything you said!!! 💯💯 I'm honestly kinda upset we didn't get the 6 seed. I feel like Penn St has a cake walk to the semifinals... but we all know how that normally plays out! Lol.. Go Irish! 🍀
Obviously, automatic byes should go. More fair would be NO extra game for conference championships, but two extra intra conference games added to allow better weighting for the committee to come up with the ranked 12 seeded teams and proper pairings. Maybe one playin game between the 2 bottom teams to get the 12th seed.
Well for one I don't consider Indiana an "in state rival"....ND played them last in 1991. Most ppl watching this pry not even born yet. I wasn't and I'm 31 almost 32. Second, as an Indiana Native who loves seeing what Cig has done at IU, ND is the pride of football in the state and a true blue blood, and has totally been on a hot streak since the NIU debacle. IU/Cig deserve respect but OSU and even Michigan (albeit losing due to a lackluster offense) showed how IU can be beaten, up front and in the trenches. IU does not have the athletes. If ND shows up and plays like they have been they should easily handle Rourke, Cig, and company.
"If ND shows up and plays" is the real difference that AI must have picked up on, that you may have missed...the difference is not the perceived physical talent or # of stars on your HS recruiting page, it is the prep and integration of your team's O and D athletes against any given opp...Cig excels at that and Freeman has "If ND shows up" kind of team, as you said!
@@dgim8016 ND has shown up and dominated for 10 games in a row....I like the odds of them showing up next week....Cig got blown out just a few weeks ago.
Yeah Notre dame wins vs Indiana but lose vs any other team in playoffs except SMU and Boise, Notre dame schedule this year is laughable, objectively just on strength of schedule they should been ranked 12 this playoffs, losing to northern Illinois and sitting 7 is unbelievable while undefeated Oregon which won vs four high ranked schools get Texas, Ohio state and Tennessee for a reward. Upper bracket is just insanely tough while lower bracket is a cake walk.
Indiana covers spreads a lot. Usually they're the favorites who blow teams out but it wouldn't surprise me if it's a field goal wins it type of game. Maybe even overtime. Notre Dame has a great running game, but IU has a great defense who has the number one rush defense by a pretty wide margin. Notre Dame will have to throw the ball to win the game. IU has a great passing game as well. One of the best offenses in the country. The key to the game will be if indiana can give Rourke a clean enough pocket to throw the ball. If they can't throw it consistently, they most likely lose. They didn't protect Rourke well in that ohio st game.
The reason they're giving the Irish so many points is a bribe for people to bet on them, which shows they think Indiana is going to give a tougher fight than they're given credit for. Remember what happened the last time you underestimated an opponent at home.

A.I. cannot predicit variables that happen in a game. Turnovers, penalities, busted coverages, and slips that lead to falling down. That being said I think upsets will happen. Two teams that could pull them off are AZ St, and Indiana. Teams that will get exposed are Tennessee and Boise.

Also Notre Dame doesn’t deserve a bye, until they join a conference or eliminate conference championship games. The conferences should always be rewarded for having to play the two top teams in an extra game and all other teams that did not play an extra game should never get a bye.
Think of this: If we still had a 4 team playoff, Georgia would not have even made the playoffs. Quarterback out, ala Florida St. last year the commitee would have left Geogia out. SEC be thankful you got 3 teams in. There can be only be 1 champ, so bitching about who got left out is a mute point. Also what did Notre Dame do this year?
