I remember being obsessed with this game, my friends and i would always hang out after class just to play VG together. This was my first MOBA game and tho i have played different MOBAs now VG still remains on top of my heart. It's more than a game, for me it will always feel like home.

How many mobas do you know with a timer ? How many mobas do you know where you catch Pokémon accumulate some points and score the points like you’re a basketball player? Can you see now how different it is from other mobas, because it changes how mobas normally work. Mobas usually have turrets and in cash shop, minions and they last until one team defeats the opponents base , Pokémon Unite changes all that

Vainglory has own original characters, lore, unique map, 3vs3, touch control which no other mobile game has And the game Pokemon Unite is pay to win, it will be unfair for player who don't want to pay. Yes, It has different gameplay, no minions, no turrets and no shop. Not all changes means good changes. It doesn't feel like MOBA.
to me, 3v3 playstyle is what made this game unique, semc had done a wrong move when they decided to follow every other moba games motif. what could happens if they keep working on the 3v3 map and manually update stuff? i don't know the result, but im sure i will be stick with this game till now

I think it was cool for them to add 5v5. The devs were just too generous and got broke. I think if they still around this day, this would become the top MOBA. I was kinda hoping to become a youtuber that post my gameplay. Almost reached skill tier 10 when the server shuts down

Its for people that doesnt have a PC, like me when i played league for hours everyday and my pc broke, but even then the lack of content in wild rift doeent make it enjoyable.

If the game is way too unique to what they are used to, they will quit the game early after playing few matches specially if it has harder mechanics(eg. lol player trying dota 2 for the first time) not unless if the game was bought or made by big companies like riot, ubisoft, valve etc. That's why ml got bigger and managed to surpass vainglory, it's literally a carbon copy of LoL and dota 2 back then from skills, item, map and more. Which made the LoL/dota 2 players adopt to the game easily and hooked them to them game.
If they only focused on building the foundation of their community first by spending money on ads to increase the player base instead of focusing on esports which wouldn't guarantee them profit since they are still a no name in esports. If they want to become successful in esports they should have focused on their player base first cuz you can't run a very costly event if you don't have money. By focusing more on ads and making contract with content creators(content creators are important cuz they are the symbol of your game's popularity, they will keep the community from playing the game by uploading gameplays, news and update about the game). Once they settled all of this they will now get their reputation and name therefore attracting more sponsors for esport events

I loved this game so much. My first MOBA game. I loved playing the characters w/ invisible skills ie Flicker and Kestrel. Those were amazingly fun and Kestrel was cracked in the 3v3 10 min matches(royale battle?). All you needed was a single shatterglass and she could poke turrets. Absolute turret destroyer.
Samuel was my main back in the day and used a lot of question mark ping just to annoy my team before semc removed it. Also ciderhelm's hero spotlight was my favorite.
The small gamer were inlaid in between of mobile. Most the game were in pc while on mobile keep complaining how hard the control is (tap control) which is the originated and they also has less it's support with budget so it can't be help.
As a now wild rift player and just found this game, i’d say this is better in terms of graphics than any mobas out there (even wild rift), the playstyle is within the players decision but for me it reminds me of how dota 1 is played but made it into mobile version (in short it’s phenomenal), the touch controls are well suited for this kind of moba and i hope wr could adapt it or just make it an option, it’s sad that a game this good said farewell too early, it’s one of those games for me worthy of battling wr in terms of everything it can give rather than ml (which didn’t really please me in terms of playstyle and graphics), honestly i hope it’s devs can revive this and make their marketing a well suited one for a game this amazing and i might as well try and play both this and wr.

This is so true. But then again if they release the 5v5 3 lane game earlier I don't think ML will be relevant. They have so many flaws aswell the servers are so unstable, only few heroes are available and at that time this game needs a decent phone to play this game smoothly.

Started off in the beta as a support maining Arden (might be misspelled, it’s been so long now since I touched VG), got tired of supporting as it started to become a hassle in the higher tiers. Got into jungling when Krul came out, he was and to this day imo broken period. Nothing beats throwing your boomerang sword into an enemy on its 3rd return swing back to you. After that, I started laning a lot more with Celeste and Cath, but when I bought Vox, it was a game changer for me. I was a natural born CP build Vox, but as I pushed higher in ranks, I discovered the benefits of WP, and really learned class variety/possibility. From the things I learned playing Vox, I was able to bridge to every other character with ease, taking build variety into account. Nothing hits quite like VG, and I haven’t been able to fw another mobile since; there’s nothing else like it with such a smooth pace, smooth gameplay, and tap controls. It’s a shame, could’ve been something special for years to come.
This game was actually really fun, it's a shame the devs just left it to die like this :( I mean seriously look at those fluid animation some cool detail are when heroes go into the brush they actually crouch like actually hiding.

I remember watching the esport back then. I'm so curious because it's 3v3 and all (the graphics were superb). Been searching for it for years, I gave up because I thought it was a PC game. I will definitely give it a try some other time. Heard that it died, I hope that they still have a space for a fan like me.

From a video that I watched, it seems that they can't easily run Vainglory servers because they turned the game over to a different company.
I see no reason to play wild rift when a PC league with more content already exists.
Vainglory is unique and is its own game.
Its for people that doesnt have a PC, like me when i played league for hours everyday and my pc broke, but even then the lack of content in wild rift doeent make it enjoyable.

Started off in the beta as a support maining Arden (might be misspelled, it’s been so long now since I touched VG), got tired of supporting as it started to become a hassle in the higher tiers. Got into jungling when Krul came out, he was and to this day imo broken period. Nothing beats throwing your boomerang sword into an enemy on its 3rd return swing back to you. After that, I started laning a lot more with Celeste and Cath, but when I bought Vox, it was a game changer for me. I was a natural born CP build Vox, but as I pushed higher in ranks, I discovered the benefits of WP, and really learned class variety/possibility. From the things I learned playing Vox, I was able to bridge to every other character with ease, taking build variety into account. Nothing hits quite like VG, and I haven’t been able to fw another mobile since; there’s nothing else like it with such a smooth pace, smooth gameplay, and tap controls. It’s a shame, could’ve been something special for years to come.
Wish they made VG2 with focus on 3v3 only
I could never forget the memories since I played Vainglory. I did play in SEA server, which did merge with the invisible AUS/OCE server.
I always remember Vainglory as the mobile game perfected for touch, the joystick mechanic in other moba games feels bland

This game was actually really fun, it's a shame the devs just left it to die like this :( I mean seriously look at those fluid animation some cool detail are when heroes go into the brush they actually crouch like actually hiding.

Actually there's more older moba mobile game with tap than this , it was HoC ( heroes of order and chaos ) it really was the only moba game for at the time

Youcan still play this on the phone but u have to basically wait 5 mins in order to look for a matchup

I don’t see any point VG to close all servers. Because some game don’t have any player but the game still running but VG shut themselves down. And The project spell fire is not worth its

People liked this game, if the devs didn’t mess up and the game was still alive it would probably be the number 1 mobile moba. You can’t except people to chose vainglory over wild rift or mlbb given the current state its in…

I remember watching the esport back then. I'm so curious because it's 3v3 and all (the graphics were superb). Been searching for it for years, I gave up because I thought it was a PC game. I will definitely give it a try some other time. Heard that it died, I hope that they still have a space for a fan like me.
I played this game back in 2015 and I’d still rather play hours of this over Wildrift or CODM
