I used to drive limo in L.A. and we took guests to Craig's show. Multiple comedians told me he was the most like Carson in that he really worked to make his guests look great. His was a favorite for them to go on.
Thanks for the compilation. I'm British and this is the British sense of humor. I live in the United States and I love the American sense of humor too. Brian Regan and his brother and Colin Jost and Michael Che are some of my faves.
Literally every format of a talk show is ripped up and thrown out. No silly questions about real things 😂. Nothing being plugged. Just having banter. Symbiotic comedy. Brilliant. Genius. One off.
thank you for this joy in the morning brought about by your hard work. love eddie, got to see her 15 years ago, read her book, but had no idea of all these interviews. this content is brilliant! thanks again.
Agreed. Deep people acting shallow is different from shallow people acting shallow. That's what Johnny Carson was, a deep person pretending to be shallow.
Ty ty ty. 2 of my favorite comedians and humans beings. I miss the Craig Ferguson show to this day. Wat thing them riff of each other had me laughing out loud. You also see the genuine relationship and friendship between the to. Trying to one up each other entertaining each other and everyone else is along for the ride.
It could only have worked with the budget he had. If they’d given the show stupid money it would have become diluted. Craig Ferguson made it work by playing to his strengths. He is a genius for leaving us all wanting more.
omg looove these two! eddie was my first stand-up comedian that i've ever watched! and he did a show in russia couple of times and he was AMAZING! my hands were hurting from clapping so much and my stomach was hurting from laughing lol it sounds bad but actually i was so happy! loove him!
Anyone else notice that person cackling incredibly loudly at EVERY slight joke in the first segment magically vanished after the first commercial break? Glorious.
Sometimes the live audiences had shills who were told (or paid) to laugh at jokes in order to get the audience laughing... under the "laughter is contagious" theory. Perhaps they revised her instructions during the break. OR sometimes live audience members are really high and find everything hilarious... so during the break they gave her some munchies to keep her mouth otherwise occupied.
Watching his show always felt like home. As in, very comfortable & laid back w/ friends stopping over and having conversations. A testament to the man that is Craig Ferguson.
Funnily enough, Robin Williams called Eddie the greatest comedian in the world. What I would've given to see those two in the same room at the same time.
Not to knock the intelligence of any other comedian (I think u have to a genius to be one) but after seeing a lot of Eddie doing various things besides comedy, including acting and his transformation to a woman and just what I call 'the grinds of daily living' he is by far one of the most intelligent people I've ever seen! That is saying a lot! This man is beyond genius and a lovely human being! I have great heartfelt respect for him! xoxo Good on ya! ;)
Automatic "Like" as soon as I found this, looking forward to watching - these two are sooo brilliant! You can be forgiven for missing two appearances, because I had no idea there were 16... :) Thanks and Congratuwelldone!
One time when I was watching an interview with Eddie, he got annoyed at a question about his clothes: "But I'm NOT wearing women's clothes! These are MY clothes! I bought them!"
@J LA I guess there are no more trees to climb up to get lipstick from the squirrels!!?! Yeah...just saying that I do really really miss seeing him all dolled up. Wonder why he stopped? He's stunning! So I looked it up and found this 2019 and he explains it. And he's wearing his pant suit with the right shade of lipstick!! Ciao my friend! ruclips.net/video/5AF7Qv-ughQ/видео.html

I miss Craig Ferguson's show. When i started watching this video, I thought it would be 2 minutes long. Not 2 hours long. But I watch the whole thing and cracked up the whole way.
Each comedy artist as insanely good as the other, each escalating the overall hilarity with mutually inspired moments of intellectual genius, elevating the mind-warping absurdity to levels beyond comprehension.... this must be the best comedy compilation on the Interweb!

I remember when it was announced that Ferguson was to be the new host of Late Night. Everyone said who?! They truly deserve incredible praise for knowing just how much of a genius he is. When critics talk about great late night hosts his name rarely comes up. It's not a slight, it's just that he is truly in another league altogether. He could be funny and heartbreaking at the same time. Not one of the best interviewers, he was THE BEST INTERVIEWER. Nobody even comes close.
I do too. I went from Johnny Carson, to David Letterman, to Conan O'Brien and when I heard about Craig's show, I watched Conan occasionally but Craig was IT. I never laughed so hard.
its so refreshing when someone's not trying to constantly plug something or advertise something (in the context of talk shows) I realize that's basically what late night talk shows are for but still

Craig Ferguson brought the best out in everyone. He is so quick witted, clever and really funny.
Without doubt the best run of ANY Craig-show, ever!
These two maniacs play so elegantly to each other.
Have you not seen him with Billy Connelly???
And Robin?

I've never seen Craig turn bright red before! "Has no one ever said that in America?" These guys are brilliant together. Thank you for uploading this.
i miss this so much - also, i love how many times Izzard has visited. shows a true friendship
Eddy Izzard is a legend and this compilation is legendary, thank you.
This is one of the craziest shows I’ve ever seen... they’re playing each other like instruments... voluntary turrets
These guys are so funny and so good together. They can talk total crap for 15 minutes and it is totally hilarious.
Well done!! The genius of watching two masters talk nonsense...it's healing. Absolutely healing.
Right? They should be refounded by the N.H.I.S !!!
This type of human interaction makes me feel like like life is fun and beautiful! Yay!
Exactly!
Eddie is fluxes incarnate. Throughout their career they have only evolved into a a force of compassion. Long live Eddie! Keep running!

2 comedians, neither of whom have an 'off switch', both of whom are comfortable with improv. This went as well as I expected... lol
Perfectly delicious!!
When they go off on that Yemen balloon tangent it's just gold... They're so quick together. Feeding off each other's madness
I don't think I could ever get tired of these two bantering

I loved Craig, but nothing beats graham norton show.
Well, now that he has left the show. Corden isn't too bad.
Conan isnt
Well In fairness Graham Norton is a pretty damn good late night host
Eddie went from guest, to that best friend who took 4 espresso shots before visiting. Craig's show truly brought the best out of his guests
Ya because the people on this show had space to act out . Freedom . The people in this country could only dream of that kind of freedom .
And the fact they have known each other for decades helped.
