Just fyi what you’ve done here, while Simple is absolutely brilliant. Please know with certainty that if you simply had a RUclips channel that did this for many cars, you’d end up with a million subscribers, guaranteed within maybe 2 years
Cannot decide between the AWE, Flowmaster outlaw, and the invidia n1. Would love a loud car that has nice deep notes and not just a tin can. Reminds me too much of edgy 90s civic owners lol.
Honestly wish i had the stock setup. I bought my car with the AWE track exhaust and it’s WAY too loud, it literally vibrates the door panels in the car and drones super bad on the highway. Oddly adding the touring resonator seems to make it even louder. Also just for reference there is no way to tell what else is done with these specific cars. You can tell that some are even the older gen cars that had the 5 cylinder volvo sourced engine so of course it will sound much different.
i have the borla, and it is very quiet on the highway. strangely enough there is some drone, sometimes, but i think this might be due to the sound symposer acting up.
I had the resonated track edition for 5 years... and after the last couple of them I started to get fed up with it. I just bought the touring conversion kit this month and let me tell you how much of a difference it makes! 10x Better.
When I bought mine it had the accelatec track (no muffler or resonator) and it droned like crazy so I just had a muffler shop weld I’m a borla s-type and it sounds amazing and doesn’t drone
Nice compilation! I've been doing my research, and have narrowed it down to either the Borla (Touring) or Ford Performance exhaust for my 2016 Focus ST. Here, it sounds like the Ford Performance has a little more low rumble. I know the difference between these two systems is the Ford Performance has the resonator in place whereas the Borla does not. Borla makes them both. One thing that I've noticed is the Ford Performance has those internal fins at the end which look great! In most photos and reviews that I've seen, Borla doesn't have those. Although; in a few vids and photos, the fins are present.
I have the borla, it comes with the fins (at least mine did), sounds perfect IMHO, lots of low burbles and absolutely NO drone. Super happy. Haven’t heard a Ford one in person but that’s my .02
@@davidrichards5091 My Borla arrives today! 👍 I've already reached out to a local privately owned muffler shop in my area to install it. In 2007, he did a custom dual pipe system on my Nissan Frontier V6. Still sounds great today! 🍻
What i would really really like to know, with reference to the way the Lexus LFA was musically tuned… how can I use a 3d modeling program or something to model and test airflow to generate predictive exhaust notes? There has to be a way to make 4 cylinders sound more like WRX without UEL headers

For me, the AWE Track exhaust is the sweet spot. Just the right amount of loud, burbles and rasp.
I'm surprised that there are lots of exhaust for the Focus ST. This video is awesome!

Is the awe you have up the track or another version. Sounded quite than the touring version.

To me that MBRP was a bad sound clip. It sounded so far away and not a good representation of that exhaust.
