Backhand blades really make good frost weapons cuz it gets two Bs in dex and int which really makes them viable

Not to mention the number of hits makes them perfect for any status build

The guard counter on this weapon class is nuts! It can hit multiple times.

Sadly think there's a glitch with this where they do the wrong (less) damage. Maybe it's a glitch with specifically the deflecting tear, which you're probably using if doing the 4 hit guard counter. Also just rough with it's low guard boost

Blind Spot carried me against Radahn, allows you to get 1500 damage like every string of moves he does while also dodging

Blind spot can be countered with power standing broad/ straight swords

“We’re from Jersey, and you’re not!”
Hey bro, love the videos. The editing is always great and fun, and if you wanted some unsolicited advice, I think the only thing you need to change to get more views is your thumbnails, and possibly titles.
The video length is perfect, it’s short but still informative and fun, I imagine your retention rate is good.
So based on your channel, looking at your most popular videos and those that don’t perform as well as they should, I think it’s just your thumbnails.
Your actual videos are really great and Elden Ring needs more Jersey representation
Although, it is called Taylor Ham 😎

@JackisaMimic Thanks man!!! From the information I have in my youtube studio, your hunch is correct.
I'm none too wise on color theory or related aspects of design (STEM will do that to you, I suppose, lol). I've recently started working with someone that does have a keener eye for design than me, so they will get better soon!
I saw a niche for shorter build videos when I was much newer to the game. So that's the niche I decided to fill.
Also, I'm glad to give Jersey some more online representation! I love this place with all its uniqueness, especially its... Pork Roll! 🤣

I became a raptor of the mists addict the day the DLC came out (but just before it came out lol) and these with raptor of the mists was my go-to for any of the hard boss fights on my first run. Didn't work for final boss tho lol. Another really excellent part is how these do pierce damage on a lot of attacks which is way better than any other type. My most recent run I've been doing the old-style of this, dual curved swords, but tbh backhand blades are so much better, having almost finished that run at this pt. But yeah the successive hit buffs are actually insane (and I only ever use the physick tear and the rotten winged sword insignia so ya).

@albegade Pierce damage is also great against the final boss of this DLC. Stacking successive attack power in that fight is no east feat, but good pierce damage will get the job done!
Getting Millicent’s Prosthesis is far from the most pleasant thing in the world, but I have to recommend it. Just that bit of an extra multiplier is so much more powerful when you already have so many buffs working in your favor!

raptor of the mists is actually useful in his 2nd phase when he does his AOE attack cuz if you stay still for a second you're not making out of that circle without getting hit

@@mohammadosman1474 Yeah I did end up doing this in my most recent 2 runs. It's definitely helpful, combined it with deflecting tear. It's just that for earlier bosses you can almost spam it and it's so good, whereas for the final boss you have to use it very carefully (and has a bit of antisynergy with deflecting tear). But I still like to use it for attacks like that yeah. Not a bad way to dodge the gravity pull either (the initial pull of starcaller cry I mean). If not doing deflections it's super good.
