Nice technique. When you have reduced the light part of the sharpening with the inverted luminosity mask, it's possible to further control the remaining white edges with blend if. Typically slide the light pointer of the sharpening layer down to 150, separate and smooth to 100. Learned this from Andy Astbury.

Thank you. Just a tip for the next videos. Make from your duplicate layer a slim object. So you are free to play with the filters ;-)

I like the technique. If you would explain better how you tell what is over sharpened and what you are looking for as you adjust the settings. As I use this, some photos show no change at your your chosen number. There seems to be a relation to pix/inch that is not mentioned.

Hey steve I really enjoy these videos and you really help us understand photoshop. I have photoshop 14.x and cant seem to find a decent panel that actually works apparently my version on photoshop is a bit rubbish but it's all I have as it was on my macbook when I purchased it. Would your panel work on my version?
    Thank you

The version of the panel you see in my videos works only in Photoshop CC. I also created a separate version that works with CS5 and CS6, but these are the only ones I can guarantee it works with.
Just out of interest, when you mention Photoshop 14.x - is that Photoshop Elements? Or a very old version of regular Photoshop?

Ok thank you. Its actually photoshop cc 2014 version 14.0 x64 that's what it says when I click on top of the about photoshop. I purchased Ryan pro from Jimmy but that never worked I also purchased Lumenzia again that never worked. I think I am doomed lol..
      Thank you

Ok I see... well mine should work just fine, though if others don't work which are supposed to, then it suggests there might be something wrong with your computer/photoshop :( I have a 60 day refund policy so if you do grab my panel and it doesn't work you can get a refund :)
      Cheers

@@SteveArnoldPhoto ok thanks steve for getting back to me. I'm sure Jimmy said that my version of ps was know to have many bugs and problems trust me to own the worst version lol. That's great I will try and purchase it in a week or two.
      Thanks very much
