- With the final update presentation for Street Fighter 5 showcase today, we got a glimpse at Luke in SF5 alongside his theme song that is a mixture of rock and pop. To know that this is the last character alongside the last character theme for the game, it’s a great theme and I’m very happy with how amazing this soundtrack has become!

Capcom wasn’t lying when they said Luke is the future of the Street Fighter series now that he was with Ryu in the Street Fighter 6 announcement trailer. My reaction to SF6!

@Charles Hastings yeah agreed. I just hope 6 shows his stronger connective tissues towards other characters. Guile is a good start. I was disappointed thinking Luke’s dad was Joe from SF1 😔

I just now realize that Luke’s color scheme is literally Capcom logo
in this game it kinda was. The tights and gloves show the future he's much more orange/blue now.

Luke is a welcome addition, love his character more than anything, his mood and energy really gets in you and pumps you up.
You especially feel it in his track and when he wins and says he wont lose to anyone, amazing character.
His theme sounds so new but familiar at the same time
I'm late to this comment but this song seriously feels like the song that'll hype you up in a Tournament
His gameplay style mixed with this song in the background can give anybody confidence

I've started listening to Luke's SFV theme a lot more recently and man they're both so good. Hard to pick which one is better. Luke's in SFV is more upbeat while his in SF6 is more chill. I even main him in SF6. Love him!
I can get used to Luke being the new face of SF with a theme like this.

I hear a bit of the original SF character select in his theme. Capcom usually doesn't do much with the first SF so that's a nice touch.

To be fair, Luke as a character HAD more urgency in SFV. He was actively trying to become stronger to avenge his father and fight terrorism. In SF6 he is more or less retired and trying to teach people the path to true strength, so the song is a lot more laid back

The sf6 music was produced first and this is probably predicted by arrangement.

I think what makes Luke more appeal than Alex in terms of setting up a new protagonist is his moveset and how it’s a great character for beginners and can be a bit easy to master since many players are destroying me too online
This theme is good to work out to or play when you and a buddy of your's practice martial arts and have a friendly sparring session.
Whenever I go to the gym, I put Street Fighter music 😄

I guess thats the risk when you introduce a brand new character and make him important, in a game with already plenty of legacy characters, also the fact that sfv's graphics (and even the sf6 teaser lmfao) made him look kinda goofy. All that aside tho i do like the character actually
Capcom’s treatment of his power hurt him. They definitely toned him down, but on release this guy was a bit nuts. But, since the rest of the cast got buffed, he’s fine now. I hope people start liking him as much as we do!
I feel like they could do something to really welcome him in with more of a bang. Despite that I think his gameplay is clever and he has a lot of potential

Funny enough it kinda sounds related to Muscle Bomber/SlamMasters in some regard, the nice bass is in there after all. But talking about this lil gripe, they could have made him be part of the CWA in some way to connect it even more, since it happens in the same universe as Street Fighter. We'll see what happens in SF 6

It isn’t underrated in my opinion. People are opening up to him and we will get to know more of Luke now that he will most likely be the new main protagonist for Street Fighter 6

@@alextemple9247 it was only a teaser trailer which is what I expect since that’s how Street fighter 4 and 5 were announce, but it still gave us a couple of hints that I notice when examining this trailer. I’m working on a video about that and Capcom fighting collection soon
This is a weird comparison and I don't know why... but this sounds like something Terry Bogard(specifically Garou/Wild Wolf Terry) would have as a theme if he was a guest in Street Fighter... and I love it!

Presentation and 1st impressions really matter alot. I didn't play SFV like that but I always tuned in every now and then. When Luke got announced I wasn't all for his design... But his gameplay and attitude I liked alot. But wasn't enough to make me get SFV... Then that teaser came and I was like "Oh my god Ryu!!!"... Then it panned to Luke and then I said "Wtf... Who is that?... It's fucking Luke!". I loved his redesign. But then that announcement trailer came a couple days ago... And now I'm on the god damn hype train for SFVI. My friend even gifted me the game telling me "Your gonna be the Luke to my Ryu" lmao. The games been fun, much better state than the last time I played at launch. Luke, Rashid, and Juri are three characters i any to main. I'm excited for what's to come and see how Luke does in the future!

He definitely gonna be the main character from SF6 while Ryu will still retain the role of being the poster boy of the series
@@AndersonTenecela Ryu was the main hero of I, II and Alpha. Alex was the main hero of III. I think Abel was the main hero of IV and Rashid was the main hero of V maybe?
@@ciarandoherty6180 Ryu and Ken were the main protagonists of SF1. Alpha was one of those games where the role was shared since it canonically established other characters that joined the roster. SF2’s main protagonists were Guile and Chun-Li

The point was that some are concern about Ryu’s position in the series, but if you really about it, he hasn’t been the “main protagonist” since SF1 or even SF Alpha and has been the “poster boy” role since SF2 which he will retain for SF6

Luke isn’t getting hate no more. Only reason why people didn’t like him is because of his design and people were hoping that he wasn’t going to be a dick in SF6 but now people like him because he’s a cocky fighter who just loves to fight but he now has a personality like hat most people love now

Luke is a dope ass character but lets be honest, they buffed the fuck out of him in the update for no reason.
I gotta see how much he has changed since then but overall with Luke as a character, I’d there are building him as the future, Capcom has applied the lessons they learn with Alex on how to carefully build new stars for the series

You know, if you were to ask me between which of the two versions if his theme song I prefer between SFV & SF6 ngl to you I prefer his SF6 one opposed to his SFV one in my personal opinion. However I still can and enjoy and appreciate his SFV one for what it is and how it turned out I really like both themes but just prefer the SF6 one more imo but THIS is still pretty good though! 😎👍🏿💯💯💯 777
So this is "Taking Aim" in Street Fighter 5...
I know a lot of people hate on the SF6 version and I think its because that version isn't styled in the form of rock(seems to be the case with a lot of songs being disliked in SF6). That version i'd say is more verstile and dynamic than this version(even though I like this version too). It clearly represents how he's matured and chilled out a bit since SF5. Seems a lot of people in the SF community are in the "if its not rock its trash" department lol.
